Eruditor:Lol Stop portraying your ignorance. And what companies are involved in JV partnership? Are they not upstream companies? NAPIMS oversee JV activities, and JV activities are limited to upstream business. so what is exactly is your point? Before you gp online and type, get your facts right.Luxury Jets they don't get to use? So how do the execs travel? Arik air and Dana? Abeg lie with style.No. JV companies don't use luxury jets. Even NAPIMS won't approve it. JV companies have company owned aircraft which they use. They operate using their airstrips located at Ikeja (at the local airport) and at their main locations. What are JV activities and how can you tell the GMD didn't use the jets only for such activities? You are just spinning yourself with illogic.NNPC does not operate JV activities. They only oversee JV activities. And it is not exactly the business of the minister to directly involved in day-to-day JV activities, so what business does he have using the luxury jets. Like i have enlightened you already, the JV partners don't use luxury aircrafts. |
fulanimafia:@The bolded.....It does. If not, it is even more indicting that JV partners pay for expenses incurred by NNPC not accounted for. As a majority shareholder, NAPIMS (a subsidiary under NNPC) provide oversight function over all budgetary activities of the JV. NAPIMS have to approve annual budgets of JV partners and monitor implementation. thus NAPIMS play a dual role....contribute 60% and provide regulatory oversight on all financial activities including ensuring accurate crude allocations based on the sharing ratio. Now....I give you a scenario that plays itself in every govt establishment. When you need to get something done, you may have to give kickbacks except if you stand your ground which will ultimately lead to delays and obstacles. Same thing occur when JV partners have to get their budgets signed by NNPC. You will be forced to make compromises and include items in the budget you are not normally willing to make and are not justified (e.g. it may be in form of sponsoring foreign trainings, estacodes, luxury jets, etc.). It all boils down to forecful extortion. You tell me a moral justification of having the JV partners fund the hire of a luxury jet they don't get to use? What business sense does it make? Lets even assume the JV partners use luxury jets (which is NOT the case), the NNPC boss is not legally allowed to use a luxury jet dedicated to JV operations IF it is not soley for JV business. Money spent on JV business is simply for JV activities. Lastly, I wasn't defending Diezani. I think we will never progress as a nation if we keep comparing the enormity of a corrupt act against another. What is corrupt is corrupt and we should deal with it as such. Unlike you, I am not playing politics. I will criticize what is wrong, be it APC or PDP. |
fulanimafia:For your information, the service is NOT free. NNPC pays 60% of the bill and force the IOCs to remit the remaining 40%. The JV partner uses luxury jets in the company. I can confirm that to you. cc scholes007 |
wirinet:Nonsense response from the guy. He was deflecting from the question. I work in one of the JV companies and I can categorically tell you that is not how it works. NNPC owns 60% of the JV so they dictate what is included in the annual JV budget. Don't let them deceive you by hiding under the JV agreement. How many of the JV partners use luxury jets? the answer is none. The NNPC is simply forcing the JV partners to contribute 40% to the excesses of the NNPC boss. cc fulanimafia .....for your learning too |
mojounited:Bros e. You seem to know a lot of places in Uyo. I have 3 questions in order of importance: (1) Do you know places (e.g. hotels, etc) where I can learn swimming in Uyo? (2) Is there a Baptist church in Uyo? I have searched but I haven't yet found one yet. |
Airforce1, I don't know you and I have not been following your activities on nairaland. But this fellow below seems to know a lot about you and he is blunt and straightforward. I guess you give his words some thought. I am not sayin you should take his words for it. I am only saying you should consider them. temmym4: |

HungerBAD:Your hypocrisy knows no bounds. What does PDP/APC has you do with this? How many APC states did we have in the previous administration anyway to form a basis of comparison? Was Ekiti a PDP state inthe previous administration? Which states took the highest bailout funds? Osun, Imo, Ogun, Ondo, Benue. Withe exception of Benue, all others were and are APC states. Their bailout funds are more than 12-15 states combined. Stop politicizing everything. You look silly when you do so. |

Mrchippychappy:Sorry to say, your comment makes no sense |
