lovewins: And the NFF drama begins; Sunday Dare leading the charge.
"The Ministry of Sports has declared the League Management Company (LMC) illegal. "
The LMC are in charge of organizing & promoting the NPFL for the past 10 years.
Almost certain there will be drama surrounding the elections.
FIFA ban testing..... I think its a step in the right direction, LMC has been awful and stagnant, the only issue I have with this order is where they said they will " set up an Interim Management Committee (IMC), to include the current Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer of the LMC to oversee the affairs of the League" , from that sentence it's more or less same people that will be in charge, at least till they figure out what exactly they are doing |

Starboytwo: Good evening bosses. I was just chilling and I Saw a match of fc koln vs somebody(forgot), offcourse the name sounds familiar(thanks to this thread) although I have a near perfect super power of recognizing any Nigerian I see on tv especially footballers, anyway, his name is Kingsley Ehizube, boy, I like his game die. He was on the right side, marshaling both defense and attack, like a wing back or something. Tall, skillful, can tackle, can run, can play, I hope he is our boy tho, can he play for us? He's been mentioned, quite fast, can't really remember the reason for him not joining us, I think it's citizenship wahala |

hatakekakashi: Portuguese coach, Jose Peseiro has reached agreement with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for a monthly salary of $50,000 (about N20.950, 000) to coach the Super Eagles.
The Portuguese is likely to be unveiled within the month after he might have signed the proposed four-year contract.
Daily Sunsports / SportingSun gathered that of all the coaches that applied for the Super Eagles job, Peseiro’s salary demand was the cheapest.
A source privy to the negotiations with the shortlisted coaches disclosed that NFF president, Amaju Pinnick made strong case for the Portuguese to be employed even when the Minister of Youth and Sports, Sunday Dare raised an objection.
According to the source, the Minister, though accepted the choice of Peseiro, he was not comfortable with the preference of two foreign assistants by the coach.
The Minister, the source said, wanted at least two Nigerians as the immediate assistants to Peseiro but the NFF assured him that two home based coaches had already been penciled down to work with the new technical team.

Some people here already said it. It was said. We can't be shocked in this country, we are Nigerians so we know what Nigerians are capable of doing. SMH |

Odunayaw: See confidence about what you don't know anything about.
I'm sure you wouldn't list Lobi Stars as a big name. But they competed in the CAFCL in the not too distant past.
Anyway, I think Kano Pillars and Lobi will struggle with staying up You are right I won't, same way I won't list MFM as such, that lobi played in the CAFCL was just mere luck, based on the abrupt end for that particular season, IMO, the big teams are enyimba, plateau, pillars, rangers, rivers and akwa . I am even considering removing rangers but heck, what do I know ? |

Odunayaw: I am almost certain a big name will be relegated this season. This has been an interesting season for me, the last was 2016.
LMC are very annoying for not at least giving us live content of these games. The stadium turnouts are great. I'm in Ibadan and shooting stars regularly fill the stadium.
Even if it's not all games of the teams. Maybe 6. Big name in the NPFL ? Ogbeni, only about five can be ascribed as such, they rest of them are on the same level |

Barryseal: If you look very well you will see he walked into a mad house at both Derby and Fernabache. Fernabache, were neck deep in financial crisis, with over $600M in debt. It was always going to be a tough job for a foreign guy to come in to salvage.
At Derby it was same issue. The club was up for sale and even him as a manager was involved neck deep in negotiations with 3 potential buyers. Without pre season, due covid and the financial challenge, the club started badly and he left.
I will judge him by his merits and records at PSV. He is renouned to be very smart and a great communicator and his ideas are very clear. Barcelona looked seriously at getting him before opting for Valverde. The good thing is that he will come in here hungry and determined to succeed to make a statement. Dude, it's nice to dream o But the NFF I know will just opt for peseiro, who they already have an understanding with |

andrewbaba44: Nff can not afford velverde
Go and check how much velverde was earning at Barca then and divide it in 20 places ,it’s still more then rohr salary ,so even if the guy decides to take a very Huge pay cut we won’t still afford it Yeah, but question is, why short list him knowing you won't pick him, why lead him on? And valverde on his part, should know where his huge wage demands will be met, did someone ill advice him to apply for the job? Egypt and south Africa would have been more positioned to meet his demands, not Nigeria |

I say they pick valverde, yes he won't come cheap, but didn't some big company back them up on rohr's salary, they could try same with him, knowing there is a high chance that they might get their money's worth |
