A Nigerian with sense rather than those mumu irrelevant COZA peeps |
Why COZA news is just a distraction like the gladiator games in Roman times. The main thing happening now is the implementation of the controversial ruga settlement in 11 states. This settlement will grow to be training camps and will develop to military base for jihadists to launch full scale invasions. But the foolish modern day Nigerian youth has been distracted by bbn, soapy dance, zanku, and interestly COZA. Ok ask yourself a why is this COZA news coming out now when they are implementing the act? Nigerians when the shits hits the fan no GOD will save you for being too dumb. |

Its unlikely it would have been the utopia they dreamed of Why? 1.demographics: too many ethnic groups packed in a small geographical location can be problematic in terms of power sharing, language barrier, and nationalism which may be a staging point for ethnic tensions. It would have been easier if it's only ibos that contain Biafra but we all know it not only ibos that will contain biafra(Ijaws, efik, ibibio, etc) 2. foreign powers: we all know that anywhere that is rich with abundant resources in Africa and multiple ethnic groups. foreign powers tend to introduce tensions so as to freely steal their resources. Which they are even doing with Nigeria currently and other places like congo(lithium), libya, Sierra lone(diamonds), Niger(uranium), and so one. |
I see so much bitterness and pain on this thread from peeps of the other side of niger. ![]() Ok at least the yorubas got some history to show (if you got some written history thats an evidence of civilization) Some guy made a pretty bad alliance with an overzealous expanding empire (sokoto caliph) because of his taste for power which turned out to be a grave move. Mind you we have seen this act many times before in history Example was stalin which he made an alliance with the nazis and then it turned out to be a grave move for the Soviets but luckily they were able to recover and rest was history. Many empires have made pretty bad mistakes and they moved on even stronger. But my question is this, do our bittered peeps from the other side of the Niger have history to show when all this were going on. Oh sorry I guess we found some of their rare history.

Probably there is a sinkhole at that spot But failure to investigate what caused the 1st and 2nd hole will let people to blame and politicise who is in charge Even if the new govt repair it that hole may still come back even bigger

cutegentility:i try and give some examples in different groups demographic, economic and political/religious. let's take the Iraq and iran for example before it became what it is. When ottoman empire was dissolved after ww1 it started what we see as the modern middle eastern crises. Political/religious > A majority of Iraqi Arabs are Shias, but Sunnis ran the show when Saddam Hussein, himself Sunni, ruled Iraq. Saddam spread a false belief, still surprisingly persistent in the country today, that Sunnis were the real majority in Iraq. The islamic Shia Iran frowned upon the control of Iraq by a Minority Sunni this was one of the major cause of iran/iraq war(but iraq attacked first). And rest was history. Economic>U.Ks Amalgamation of northern and southern Nigeria was done by the colonial administration to sought the use of the budget surpluses in Southern Nigeria to offset the deficit of northern region(read about southern Nigeria protectorate). And we all know where we are today, every one would have been better off without that amalgamation. Demographics> Rwanda hutus and tutsi are one black specie but Germany colonised Rwanda in 1884 as part of German East Africa, followed by Belgium, which invaded in 1916 during World War I. Both European nations ruled through the kings and perpetuated a pro-Tutsi policy. The Hutu population revolted in 1959. And the rest is history. |
