frm the philosophical angle its knw as the problem of God or the problem of evil. Man always ask dis questions: why does God permit evil when he is wholely-good? If the essence of God is completely good why is evil in the world he has created? Does God has the control over everything? These questions has lead to many defence for God which is called theodicy.
