Last year, Public Health and Mass Communication that I used to think is one of the ordinary courses was a Hot cake and still a very hot cake in Unilag. in fact, anyone going in for it that I know, I will advise him or her not to leave any stone unturned. 22,500 is a big money for anyone to loose in Nigeria of today. Even economics is so competitive especially full time program. But as I said, even if you are going in for common entrance exam, please start to prepare now. Pls, even with your background in Microbiology, try and put in your very best in terms of preparation. All the best. |

pweetyoge:When done with registration, you don't need to submit any copy to the department, if you try that, some department knowing fully well that u don't need to submit a copy with them, will end up fleecing some money from you for no reason. Finish up with the internet and start reading to prepare fore the exam. If u r going in for international law $ Diplomacy, please read about Nigerian Politics from independence, Number of nations in Africa, United nations and other organisations, current affairs, Non alignment movement, ECOWAS court, where it is located, ICJ, Amalgamation of Nigeria, etc... Its not difficult. Most questions are repeated. Something you should know is that cut of marks is different from one course to another. It depends on the number of applicants. Last year i know of someone who scored 40% and was given the admission, this same person told me that he wrote a year earlier and scored 55% but wasn't given the admission. Just read to pass very well.... I don't know that for Diplomacy $ Strategic Studies. If you start preparing from now, and all seriousness, I am 100% convinced you will make it. |

Not needed even for Diplomacy & strategic Studies. Any one you want to settle for, Your are on the right track with your B.A Philosophy. One thing you should know is that, Philosophy and Law go hand in hand. One needs the other. Most Philosophers of those days which you studied in your undergraduate years were lawyers. |

2el:The Occasional stuff is for those from other disciplines who wish to study M.Sc Political Science I.e, they have no background of Political science. for example, someone who read business administration or science or education but now wishes to switch to Political science, he/she won't be allowed to go straight and start receiving lectures with those who read Political science in their undergraduate degrees.. Its like a prelim program where some foundation courses would be taught. During this period, one would still be receiving normal lectures like the others who are running the M.Sc program but your duration will be longer than theirs because of the other courses you will have to take to brush u up. But you who studied Public Administration, I don't know if you will be allowed to do the occasional because Public administration is one of the branches of Political science and luckily, its under the department of political science in Unilag. So don't be afraid, you will go in straight for it. But, I would advice you go the department and enquire. Hope its a better explanation. Bro, if I were you, with a background in Public administration, I would go for IRPM.... |

Last year i contacted him but he said he didn't have that of my course, so what i did was to go my department and i got the past questions from those people making photocopies in my department. If you are going in for History and Strategic studies, try checking those people who make photocopies at the back of the Faculty of Arts Block. And for any one who wants to study International Law and Diplomacy, should contact me.. i have the past question which i used last year, i can give to him/her to make copy out of it. Although it stops at 2010/2011 exam... But First of all ask kalan if he has that of your department. All the best. |

M.Sc Political Science Occasional is for someone who wish to switch to Political Science from another discipline.. For the Occasional, its a longer duration of 2 years. My advice for you... If you read Political Science in your undergraduate, why not go for a course that has more competitive advantage in today's Nigeria, like IRPM, which is Industrial Relations and Personnel management or Public Administration which is also in the department of Political Science? Think about it please. I also read Political Science as my first degree. |
ambassadorgozie:Diplomacy and Strategic Studies is a professional course and not academic/coursework. It is available this year and its a course in the faculty of Arts. Now the difference between professional course and coursework is that, Someone who is studying a professional course CANNOT go further to study for his/her PhD. It ends at Master's degree. While someone who is studying an academic/coursework degree can further for a PhD degree. I am also presently studying a professional course in Unilag and I won't go further for PhD because its terminal at Master's. As for the fees for Diplomacy and Strategic Studies, Its not more than 120k, aside the compulsory 65k for acceptance fee and departmental fee of between 5k and 25k depending on your department. Also, its a one and half year course i.e, 3 semester and you will attend lectures everyday in the evenings depending on your time table. |

Implement the annual L& plan for site, working closely with all functions including Leadership Team membersIdentify, design and deliver training, either internally or externally by using internal resources or 3rd parties. Conduct evaluation to illustrate return on investment and business benefit. Ensure alignment of site annual L& plan to the wider Learning & Development strategy for the business.Co-ordinate delivery of the overhead training budget for the site. Monitor and report on overhead training and budget delivery, both to HR Business Partner and Leadership Team as required. Develop, recommend and implement improvements to how site training is delivered (i.e. best fit training providers, identifying opportunities for in-house training delivery, improvements to site induction). Ensure all Training Processes are relevant, documented and maintained, and designed aligned with best practice. Ensure the site is “audit ready” from a training records and training system perspective at all times. Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering and Labour Management teams to develop and ensure the effective and timely delivery of shop floor skills training plans for the factory, including those which support the implementation of capital and NPD projects. Oversee and co-ordinate the management of the site’s training system (LMS), including maintenance of training and assessment records the deployment of E-Learning for employees whilst ensuring SOPs are in place as required for relevant activities/tasks. Responsibility for the recruitment, development and management of a team of “off line” trainers in the delivery. Provide support, guidance and directions to the Learning Resource Centre, (static or mobile) ensuring links are forged with local colleges. Continuously seek out opportunities to introduce appropriate vocational qualifications and e-learning solutions for employees. Mamaejime:I really feel pain your.. As for NIMASA you mentioned, it's an agency under Federal Ministry of Transportation. Dropping your CV is OK, at least it shows ur individual effort to secure a Job, but the truth be told, NIMASA na GOD & CONNECTION you need. If you don't have any ''oga at the top'', it's almost Impossible. The last recruitment they did was in 2012 and even though millions applied, only few were taken. I know of Someone who told me that during his interview, someone asked him ''who is your Insider''? Even though he replied him that he didn't have anyone and that he scored almost 90% during the aptitude test, the person still didn't believe him. According to him it seemed he was the only one who was given employment letter by merit. He further stated that his catchment area (Bayelsa state) didn't have enough candidates and probably that's why he was employed. When he was given letter, he started seeing new people being employed almost every week that didn't even write the aptitude test. Most of them were sent by senators and top politicians. But be optimistic, GOD works in mysterious ways and HIS ways aren't ours. Just pray for HIS divine favour. Nothing is impossible. |
