Since the poster is concerned about corruption and ineptitude of Nigerian security forces, I'll suggest we outsource the job of the presidency to Obama as a part time Job.

Obama because he is partly African.

We need a foreigner as IG.

With the imminent exit of the current IG, the FG needs to begin considering new angles to tackling our age old cancer, the police force. I suggest we get a foreigner in (maybe British, American or Israeli).

All our home-grown policemen are almost all corrupt and engaged in nefarious activities like armed robbery or boko haram terrorism. The language our average policeman speaks is forgery and bribery. Baal, Beelzebub and the hordes of Hades will kill to attain the gutter morals of our policemen.
After a blood soaked boko haram mastermind was caught, a senior police officer took him on a fun trip and released him; that man was the most senior boko haram member the FG had ever laid hands and represented a breakthrough of tectonic magnitude. Released! Can you beat that?

Woe betide you if armed robbers visit your neighbour and you have the audacity to call the police; in a few days, you too will be visited by the blood spilling creeping things; with luck, shivering sweat and terror soaked prayer, your woman will not be rap'ed and your life snuffed out.
Yet these are the men in whom we entrust individual and national security. The police is your ‘fiend.’

We obviously cannot go on this way, it is either we begin to treat the police as enemies of the nation (which they are), or we begin to actively seek ways to rebuild the force from scratch. Such a rebuilding task can only be left in the hands of a foreigner, probably assisted by the few proven hands available, the likes of Marvel Akpoyibo.
Only a foreigner, untainted by the devilish ways of our men in black can be trusted to build a force that is trained and equipped to World standard.

How una see am?

-Beaf
Ridiculous. Suggesting foreign imperialism, re-colonizing the country, Invariably saying "Nigerians are not competent enough to rule themselves".

Going by your logic, then we do not need Nigerian leaders. You cannot single out the Police Force as the only,"cancer", to put in your words. Every institution in Nigeria is plagued by this same "cancer", even you, your office and your ridiculous government.

Still going by your post, we don't need a Nigerian President, we need a "British, American or Israeli" to be the president.

Corrupt clown writing rubbish.

HI!

I'm new to the Android world and I had stubbornly stuck with my blackberry and Windows mobile devices. Anyways, I just got a Samsung Galaxy S2 and I find it quite nteresting.

Problem is, my screen would not rotate. I have tried virtually everything I know in the settings and still nothing.

I learnt on a website that rooting with Froid (or something like that could help me). Problem is, I do not even know what rooting is all about, how to do it or why I should do it.

Please can anyone here help me with this problemand also lecture me of rootiong. Merits/demerits
Shame on you for not getting an Android phone soon enough.

Double shame on you for using a Blackberry grin

I think your problem is from auto-rotate.

Go to settings -> display -> then check auto rotate.

Religion.

Humanity and her wars are shaped by Religion.
WWI was shaped by religion?
WW2 was shaped by religion?
How many of them were caused by religion?
Stop blaming religion for mans stupidity.

Most of what you term "Religious Wars" are "Ethnic Wars".

Before the page loads completely just press escape.

I don't know why Wikipedia didn't restrict this for only US IP's, how can they blackout a global service because of a US-only related law??

paniki:
Why would I encourage dullards like you and dripstoil to familiarise yourselves with a proposed law that I have not read? Dripstoil held a misguided view, which he has now sidestepped, that an America law can regulate internet entities which are not based in or have any links to America and you promoted a fallacy that this law will cause damage. What kind of damage? And damage to who?

Idiots like you must realise that this law if passed will only force internet entities to work harder to be compliant the same way they work hard to comply with Chinese regulations. These internet companies are using lay fools like you as megaphones that speak in favour of their own agenda to dodge this law because it will only affect their bottom line since they have to spend more money to keep order. Of cause that flies over your flat head.
The above is irrelevant bullshit. Opinions based on baseless assumptions. Seems your support for SOPA stems from your anger towards big corporations and not sensible principles.

You should've started by quoting this,  just a few lines before your quote

(1) the Internet site or portion thereof is a U.S.-directed site and is used by users in the United States

Then a bit further on you should've quoted this

(i) IN GENERAL.—A service provider shall take technically feasible and reason
able measures designed to prevent access by its subscribers located within the United States to the foreign infringing site (or portion thereof) that is subject to the order, including measures designed to prevent the domain name of the foreign infringing site (or portion thereof) from resolving to that domain name’s Internet Protocol address. Such actions shall be taken as expeditiously as possible, but in any case within 5 days after being served with a copy of the order, or within such time as the court may order.

You need to understand that America doesn't own the internet and that these internet companies which will be subject to American law in America have separate entities in other jurisdictions which are subject to other laws. There is a difference between google.com - google.co.uk - google.com.hk and so on.
Stop trying to blindly support an American bill that is already loosing ground.
You're not reasoning if you think an ISP would observe infringing content moving through their wires and ignore it, regardless of destination.

The legal system in the US pays attention to the most trivial details. If the insensitivity of SOPA is passed into law, Your illegal posts you made on NL as I pointed out above, would make Nairaland (hosted in the US) liable for internet criminality and the proceeding censorship movement would ensue (with the hosts), First off:

1 - Search engines (Google, Bing, Yahoo) would strike off Nairaland from its index.
2 - Payment agencies (Visa, Mastercard, PayPal) would cut anything they have with this site.
3 - All potential advertising revenue would be cut off.

e.t.c

And this is all within 5 days according to the bill. The entire website loses.

And also, the parent company is Google, which operates under the US legal jurisdiction, which invariably means it can pretty much do anything to any over its tld's regardless of location, whether, com.ng, .co.uk etc.
Many legit businesses would suffer considerably because of this bill. The truth is that at this current point, the global web is subject to American censorship. P;ease read up and stop displaying gross ignorance on this subject.
