Foreign AffairsRe: BREAKING: Zimbabwe Ex-army Chief Who Helped Oust Mugabe Sworn In As VP by Mobsync(m): 3:32pm On Dec 28, 2017
Another classic tale of going from frying pan to fire. Anything short of democracy is a big NO-NO. Zimbabweans have entered "two chance" and are yet to know.

Can one apply with MSC please?
Yes, but you won't have any seniority over someone with B.Sc. You'll start with the rank of Lieutenant if you apply through DSSC and 2nd Lieutenant if you applied through SSC.

Jafsent30:
what's the point then?
It has no point. The army (and other branches of the military) do not recognize a Masters degree. Even PhD holders are only given three months seniority, which is as good as nothing.

IslamRe: Firdaus Amasa: A Word Is Enough For The Hijab Haters by Mobsync(m): 12:51pm On Dec 22, 2017
Even as a Muslim, I avoid commenting on Islamic threads because of that badge that's pasted on my profile whenever I comment. But I had to take the badge just to comment on this.

The so called Abubakar Rasheed is a hypocrite. His article is biased and very insultive to Christians. It does not even deserve a deep comment.

Everyone knows the law is not about hijab but any form of headcover. It even covers hairstyle and mode of dressing, even down to the use of ties. But some hypocrites want to make it seem like it was targeted at the hijab.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: The Nigerian Ports Authority Hereby Clarifies Secret Recruitment Report by Mobsync(m): 4:27pm On Dec 13, 2017
Recruitment since November 11 last year? When 2018 is already around the corner?

Abegi, The Sun is right. This is secret recruitment.

That said, most of the commenters above me are cunts. We're discussing serious issues here and all they have to say is Ipob, Buhari, PDP, APC bla bla bla. The earlier you all realize that these guys don't care about you, the better. Idiats.

The headline clearly states that this is the FIRST set of pilots to be flying WARPLANES but you still chose to write rubbish.
SmartyPants:
This piece of news is meant to inform you that the Army's Aviation Corps is now taking another dimension.

Iz a simple sturvs!
The army does not fly warplanes. They fly helicopters.

These pilots are the same ten pilots that KTJ Minamah visited in 2015.
My mistake was saying that the army has been graduating pilots since 2015. I was wrong with that part. It has been training them since 2015 and they just graduated.

The fact that the news stated they're flying war planes does not mean they're flying war planes. Is it not the same Nigerian media that was calling an Alpha jet a gunship?

Read the bolded.

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt. General Kenneth Minimah has charged Nigerian Army student pilots to at all times be ready to work and live with troops wherever operational exigency demands without any thought of leaving their chosen line of flying combat helicopters.

The COAS gave the charge while addressing student pilots undergoing helicopter flying training at the International Helicopter Flying School, Enugu. In his words “You should all be ready to at all times live and work with troops where ever operational exigency demands. You should also banish all thoughts of leaving your chosen line of flying combat helicopters.

The Nigerian Army will not train you and afterwards allow you to branch out to other arms or services on flimsy excuses.”

Speaking during his assessment visit to the 10 Nigerian Army student officers at the School, the COAS stated that he was pleased to hear that the students were doing well and encouraged them to put in their utmost best in all written and practical aspects of the course to ensure their graduation. He informed the students that they will form the nucleus of the newly established Nigerian Army Aviation Wing.

The Nigerian Army uses helicopters and not airplanes. The army has maintained an aviation corps for some years now and has been graduating pilots since the era of COAS Kenneth Mininah.
