LiteratureRe: How Much Should I Charge For A 150 Paged Novel On Fiverr by Mobsync(m): 12:22pm On Jul 31, 2017
teelaw4life:
Probably increase it to $400 maybe. The competition on fiverr is unreal and if the client was looking for expensive writers, trust me he wouldn't be on fiverr in the first place. I'm sure the client is interviewing at least 3 other people who would be willing to charge a fee lower than the amount i quoted. It's about striking a balance. Given how fresh his gig is without any review, it's very obvious that the client isn't going to be expecting a huge charge like, otherwise he would have contacted a top selling writer.
You're right. But writing a novel isn't beans.

I'm a writer myself. I've completed one novel with two more stopped halfway, so I know what it takes to write one.

Also, I once wrote 10 1000+ blog posts for 4k, just because I was broke. At the end of the day, the effort wasn't worth the pay even though I needed the money.

I'm just concerned with the pay not being with the effort he would put into the writing.
LiteratureRe: How Much Should I Charge For A 150 Paged Novel On Fiverr by Mobsync(m): 8:14am On Jul 31, 2017
teelaw4life:
Usually the charge is word based. You should make your own conversion, how much do you charge per word, take that and try to estimate the number of words obtainable in a 150 paged novel and then multiply by the amount you charge per word.

I'll go further, most charge $5 per every 700 word. If you're writing withMicrosoft word using a TNR format with size 12 font, then a page will have 300 words. So, basically charge $5 for every 2 page. So, if you divide 150 pages by 2 , you get 75, 75 pages multiplied by $5 will equal $375.

Charge the client $375. It's fair, it's balanced, everybody wins and you can easily explain your fee format.
Isn't that to small? I was thinking he should charge the client a few thousands.

This is a novel and not a research article.

Boko haram was used by northerners to destabilise the government of GEJ back then, and don't forget buhari said and I quote "An attack on book haram is an attack on the north"

WHY DID THE NIGERIA ARMY HAS TO LIE THAT THEY HAVE FREED THIS PEOPLE?

WebmastersRe: 5 Amazing Visitor Target Tips To Improve Blog Traffic. by Mobsync(m): 8:58am On Jul 18, 2017
Posting regularly won't increase blog traffic neither will"appreciating your blog visitors".

Contests and giveaways would, provided the contestants are graded based on votes or social shares. Even at that, you need to turn them into returning visitors by capturing their emails. One good method of getting emails is by giving giveaways as you rightly stated.

The last one, asking questions, is controversial since you'll need to have the readers before you can ask them questions.

It's a wonder that with the level of unemployment in Nigeria, topics like this rarely attract the needed traffic and interest.

I've been thinking of what is necessary to create a successful startup in Nigeria and I have been doing a lot of research on it. However, a lot of what I've come across are based on the American/foreign startup environment. It can applied but I believe it doesn't quite hit the nail on the head, as I know the Nigerian startup environment would have it's unique peculiarities.

So I would appreciate the help of any successful or failed startup founder in detailing a rough sketch of what the Nigerian startup environment is like; what is needed to succeed, necessary documentations, what you need to set up a work place, human resource recruitment, management and every other thing that is needed to succeed in the Nigerian startup environment.

CareerRe: My Sister And Her Husband Just Lost Their Job In MOUAU. PIX by Mobsync(m): 11:51pm On Jul 06, 2017
AmandaLuv:
What is this world turnin into. My sister and her husband just lost their job in Michael okpara University of agriculture umudike with three kids to feed.
All thanks to the new VC Prof Francis otunta.
This VC sacked 460 staff of the University employed by the former VC Prof Hillary Odo edeoga(God bless him)
Now my sister and her family are left in the cold. The husband resigned from his job in lagos to be close to the family by accepting a job offer in mouau and relocating to umuahia.
The family are devastated.
I saw a front page material some time last week on NL about tension in Michael okpara University of agriculture umudike. now the worst has finally happened.
We need to speak against this injustice cos the new VC did this to punish the former VC Prof Hillary Odo edeoga.
They sure deserve it.

Their employment reeks of nothing but nepotism. In a previous post announcing the termination of employment (not sack), the people affected are said to be friends and families of the permanent staff.

And that seems true because I am still trying to understand how a couple could gain employment in the same university at the same time.

Whoever they paid has scammed them. But they cannot do anything about it because they themselves are scammers.

They entered through the back door and have now been flung out over the fence.

Greet them for me. Next time they should learn to do things properly. tongue tongue tongue tongue tongue

PoliticsRe: Soldiers Carry Out Sanitation Exercise In Yenagoa, Bayelsa (Photos) by Mobsync(m): 6:40pm On Jul 01, 2017

They're on punishment. If you've ever lived in the army barracks you'll know what I'm talking about. When soldiers commits an offense, they're locked up in a guard room for some weeks or months depending on the gravity of the offense. Sometimes they'll bring them out of the guardroom and given some chores by senior officers as punishment. The chores varies, it could be sweeping, washing officers cars, mowing lawns, cutting grass after which they'll return to the guardroom. I saw these things while living in the army barracks. Forget about the banner you see there, there's no way officers will come out for sanitation when there're able bodied offenders in the guardroom. NO WAY
Please, do not misinform the public.

Nigerian soldiers carry out public sanitation exercises every year to celebrate Army Day.

If you really lived in the barracks, you should know better.

I am interested on paid blog, please help me my email-oparajanefrances@gmail.com
I got a domain name and hosting from NameCheap at 7000+ (close to 8000) (19.something dollars). That's for the first year and the cost would rise up to 50 dollars for the second year. They also have dedicated Wordpress hosting that's a bit more expensive but will save you the hassles of setting up the blog.

But if you need cheaper hosting, I'll advise you to go for Smart Web. https://www.smartweb.com.ng/webhosting.html They're Nigerian and have good reviews. I am just not interested in hosting with Nigerian web hosts because of stories I hear about them.

Once you buy the name, you should follow the instructions to set up the site. If you cannot, contact their support via live chat and they'll put you through.

After that, you'll need to customize your blog. I use Hueman theme for mine. It's good and is one of the most popular out there.

i have been trying to use WordPress but I get stuck at q certain part... it refuses to click forward or backwward
The free Wordpress?

It should go smoothly unless someone else has opened a blog or commenting profile with the name you want to use.

I faced a similar problem when I wanted to open a free Wordpress blog but I was lucky since I was the one that opened a commenting profile with the same name.

You should try using another random name whether it will leave the page. If it leaves the page, it means someone else is using the name.

Have you done this?

If you haven't, is it a free blog (with a domain name) you want or a paid blog with your own domain name?

If it's a free blog, go to to get started. If it's a paid blog, reply me so I can put you through.

EducationRe: "I Shall Resign If Found Guilty Of Inflating OAUSU Bus Price"--OAUSU President by Mobsync(m): 7:48am On Jun 22, 2017
He is still telling lies and has refused to come clean. Rather than telling us the amount he bought the bus, he's saying he "went with the one that said 2.5 million".

Does that mean he got the bus for 2.5m or what?

Why did he also avoid mentioning the year the bus was made? Someone on the previous thread said it's 1999 or 2001, I cannot remember.

All I know is that the bus is not a current or near-current model and is too expensive for 2.5m.

OAU people, una don enter one chance.

Mr Ibukun, how much did you buy the bus?

Tell us so we can know the next line of action.

The boy is a co pilot. A very fancy way of saying IT student. Congrate all the same. It is the joy of all father see their children moving n a positive direction
An airplane is flown by two or more pilots, depending on the distance and type of aircraft.

The pilots are called Captain (oga) and First officer (second in command/co-pilot).

The co-pilot is not an intern or anything of some sort but a full blown pilot usually without as much experience as the captain. However, sometimes the co-pilot is usually as experienced or even more experienced than the captain or is even a captain himself.

In commercial aviation , the first officer is the second pilot (also referred to as the co-pilot ) of an aircraft . The first officer is second-in-command of the aircraft to the captain , who is the legal commander. In the event of incapacitation of the captain, the first officer will assume command of the aircraft.

Control of the aircraft is normally shared equally between the first officer and the captain, with one pilot normally designated the "pilot flying" (PF) and the other the "pilot not flying" (PNF), or "pilot monitoring" (PM), for each flight. Even when the first officer is the flying pilot, however, the captain remains ultimately responsible for the aircraft, its passengers, and the crew. In typical day-to-day operations, the essential job tasks remain fairly equal.

Many airlines promote by seniority only within their own company. As a consequence, an airline first officer may be older and/or have more flight experience than a captain, by virtue of having experience from other airlines or the military.
