teelaw4life:You're right. But writing a novel isn't beans. I'm a writer myself. I've completed one novel with two more stopped halfway, so I know what it takes to write one. Also, I once wrote 10 1000+ blog posts for 4k, just because I was broke. At the end of the day, the effort wasn't worth the pay even though I needed the money. I'm just concerned with the pay not being with the effort he would put into the writing. |
teelaw4life:Isn't that to small? I was thinking he should charge the client a few thousands. This is a novel and not a research article. |
walemoney007:Mr Man, take your noise to the politics section. You'll find people like you there. Lots of them. |
Posting regularly won't increase blog traffic neither will"appreciating your blog visitors". Contests and giveaways would, provided the contestants are graded based on votes or social shares. Even at that, you need to turn them into returning visitors by capturing their emails. One good method of getting emails is by giving giveaways as you rightly stated. The last one, asking questions, is controversial since you'll need to have the readers before you can ask them questions. |
Thanks for the clarification. By the way, when will the Army start recruiting for the 2017 SSC course? |
Theflint1:You're welcome. |
Theflint1:Visit techpoint.ng It is a Nigerian website that focuses on technology, startups and entrepreneurship. Copy and paste the quote below into Google, it would be a good start. site:techpoint.ng failed startup |
AmandaLuv:They sure deserve it. Their employment reeks of nothing but nepotism. In a previous post announcing the termination of employment (not sack), the people affected are said to be friends and families of the permanent staff. And that seems true because I am still trying to understand how a couple could gain employment in the same university at the same time. Whoever they paid has scammed them. But they cannot do anything about it because they themselves are scammers. They entered through the back door and have now been flung out over the fence. Greet them for me. Next time they should learn to do things properly. ![]() |

lofty900:Please, do not misinform the public. Nigerian soldiers carry out public sanitation exercises every year to celebrate Army Day. If you really lived in the barracks, you should know better. |
Jane1234f:I got a domain name and hosting from NameCheap at 7000+ (close to 8000) (19.something dollars). That's for the first year and the cost would rise up to 50 dollars for the second year. They also have dedicated Wordpress hosting that's a bit more expensive but will save you the hassles of setting up the blog. But if you need cheaper hosting, I'll advise you to go for Smart Web. https://www.smartweb.com.ng/webhosting.html They're Nigerian and have good reviews. I am just not interested in hosting with Nigerian web hosts because of stories I hear about them. Once you buy the name, you should follow the instructions to set up the site. If you cannot, contact their support via live chat and they'll put you through. After that, you'll need to customize your blog. I use Hueman theme for mine. It's good and is one of the most popular out there. |
Krystalzkris:The free Wordpress? It should go smoothly unless someone else has opened a blog or commenting profile with the name you want to use. I faced a similar problem when I wanted to open a free Wordpress blog but I was lucky since I was the one that opened a commenting profile with the same name. You should try using another random name whether it will leave the page. If it leaves the page, it means someone else is using the name. |
Krystalzkris:Have you done this? If you haven't, is it a free blog (with a domain name) you want or a paid blog with your own domain name? If it's a free blog, go to to get started. If it's a paid blog, reply me so I can put you through. |
You thinks it hase anything to do with MainOne? Even internet has been slow of late after MainOne, which supplies data to most Nigerian networks and data services, encountered problems with it's undersea cables. |
He is still telling lies and has refused to come clean. Rather than telling us the amount he bought the bus, he's saying he "went with the one that said 2.5 million". Does that mean he got the bus for 2.5m or what? Why did he also avoid mentioning the year the bus was made? Someone on the previous thread said it's 1999 or 2001, I cannot remember. All I know is that the bus is not a current or near-current model and is too expensive for 2.5m. OAU people, una don enter one chance. Mr Ibukun, how much did you buy the bus? Tell us so we can know the next line of action. |
bigtt76: Awoo88:An airplane is flown by two or more pilots, depending on the distance and type of aircraft. The pilots are called Captain (oga) and First officer (second in command/co-pilot). The co-pilot is not an intern or anything of some sort but a full blown pilot usually without as much experience as the captain. However, sometimes the co-pilot is usually as experienced or even more experienced than the captain or is even a captain himself. In commercial aviation , the first officer is the second pilot (also referred to as the co-pilot ) of an aircraft . The first officer is second-in-command of the aircraft to the captain , who is the legal commander. In the event of incapacitation of the captain, the first officer will assume command of the aircraft.https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Officer_(civil_aviation) |
