@ modath you have made a nice point and I quite agree with you, just that to wrestle power from the North, we need a candidate that can command massive followership down south and I don't see any other candidate with that profile except her.
That we are not ripe for a female president doesn't hold water for because there is always a first time.
Seems you want to stretch this into an argument when there really isn't any point for one.... Ngozi Okonjo Iweala will not even contest, she knows the outcome..

TonyeBarcanista:
Aside being a woman, NOI has been tested and she failed woefully. Her input as coordinating minister was nothing to write home about. She should remain in WB and IMF. We need to move away from overrated hypes.

1. I'm sure you saw where i highlighted that madam gele can "sign anything", meaning she is a "do what you are told/instructed" not what is right/beneficial for ALL kind of person.

3. YES, Nigeria won't have a woman president in this generation, not even a VP!! Let's start with a democratically elected female governor first, not an happenstance one!!!!

I don't like emotional arguments, facts are sacred.. cool

You wicked o.. grin grin grin. You just naturally hate this bros
Hate is too strong cos i don't wish hin dead... but i do totally & strongly dislike him... I hate it when people have the gods smile at them, give them massive headstarts but still end up as laggards....

Everything was against the IB, forces militated against him but he rose above them them all.. background, connections, tribe, all weren't in his favour but against all odds, he got the big prize & what did he do with it? He squandered it like a prodigal drunk !!!!

Record oil prices & all we can show for it was affordable rice & cheap subsidized dollars for imports... dazall!! Where are the infrastructures, the institutions, the legacy that would have cemented his name in gold , WHERE ARE THEY?? Did the roads disappear, the "technology" to stamp out corruption we were inundated with almost on a daily basis back then... Guess the ground opened up & swallowed improved power facilities as well...

HE messed up so bad that a 70+ ex dictator became the obvious choice.. Bubu is goofing & on a regular basis is bleeping up mega & royally, but IB still isn't & would never be an option ever again!!! You can take that to the bank....

P.S.... All you untrained parental failures that will fall like aimless drunks into my mentions cos of your drunk hero , Please don't censor the cuss words & abuses, the button to fix y'all is still alive... Come one, come all!! cool

Even without rigging PDP owns Rivers State. Majority of Rivers resident hates APC, but if PDP should relax and do nothing APC will use that advantage in rigging a successful election.

I use to tell my friends we don't conduct elections in Nigeria what we do is who can assess rigging more.

The party with the highest rigging might always wins election in Nigeria, that is why am still surprise on the outcome of 2015 election when GEJ gave up (something we don't get to see in my country).

As for me, its been long I made moves not to vote for any candidate cos at the end your vote don't determine who wins, what determines is the power of rigging so why do I disturb myself to vote.

(leave gender menene argument abeg, women are either too "strong/harsh" so as not to be perceived as being weak a la Iron Lady Margaret Thatcher and too "soft/weak" like Madam Merkel.... Imagine a situation where people cue to vote and elect a chairman only for a Governor to juat remove him from office, why vote then?
The military wrote the 1999 constitution, most of them had plans of exchanging khaki for agbada, that's why we have idiotic things like "immunity clause"!! Oloshi dem.

This judgement just dey do me yori yori.. tongue

An applause & champagne swigging moments... very very brilliant decision... This is 50% of the battle , the remaining 50% is seperating states & lgs accounts.... By the time this is done, some governors will not only resign of their own volition, some whose main focus is purely "chop chop" will not even bother...

This will also strengthen LG administration in two ways, it will attract better than area warlords/local touts & best of all, LGs & councillors are in the same community.

Make we dey look the excuses for bad portions of inner roads /streets then....
Politics › Supreme Court Strips Governors Of Power To Sack Local Government Officials by modath(op): 10:44pm On Dec 09, 2016
The Supreme Court on Friday described as “executive recklessness” the now rampant acts of governors dissolving democratically-elected local government councils in their states and replacing them with caretaker committees.

The apex court also nullified the provisions of the laws enacted by the states’ Houses of Assembly empowering governors to carry out such dissolution and replace them with caretaker committees.

A five-man panel of the apex court led by Justice Olabode Rhodes-Vivour, made the pronouncements, among others, in a unanimous judgment it delivered on Friday.

The appeal in which the Supreme Court made the pronouncements arose from the dissolution of 16 local government councils in Ekiti State by the then Governor Kayode Fayemi.

Fayemi, who is now the Minister of Mineral Resources, was said to have announced the dissolution of the councils in a radio announcement on October 29, 2010, when the chairmen still had up till December 19, 2011, to complete their three-year tenure.

But in the lead judgment delivered by Justice Chima Nweze, the apex court condemned the decision of the then governor.

The apex court adopted an earlier order made by the Court of Appeal on the case in its judgment delivered on January 23, 2013, directing the Ekiti State Government to compute and pay all the allowances and salaries accruable to members of the dissolved councils between October 29, 2010 and December 19, 2011, both dates inclusive.

Some folks who are hell bent on being negative negroes keep yapping about libraries & labs... For elementary school children in PUBLICLY funded schools!!! gerrarhia with the bad belle & hypocrisy!!

Most of these kids would not have even been enrolled in such schools if their parents could afford to feed them well, let alone send them to fee paying elementary schools..... This will have them be in school, it's something to look forward to.. I know children, no matter the status, their lunch box/pack is something they all look forward to..

There are thousands of things to knock this (insert here) government that is turning out to be "something else" for ... this is not one of them!! Sorry look under the rock of negativity if the next executive faux pas doesn't do it for y'all!! cool

alBHAGDADI:
If you look closely, you will see that the bill is actually sponsored by hidden Muslims. They have realised that sharia cannot migrate to non-islamic regions of Nigeria. So, in order to achieve that, they decided to sponsor some sleepy Christians to request for a Christian court, a thing that will force the Nigerian government to amend the constitution. That way, Sharia courts can be set in all states of Nigeria, cos the Christian court too will be granted such status.

Christians must reject this, cos our Lord and saviour said we should turn the other Cheek and forgive ourselves, not war among ourselves. This is all an Islamic plot to islamize Nigeria while we sleep.
Thanks & GBU for seeing the point i hope everyone would get without me having to say much...
