To clear up any confusion that customers might have concerning this issue, NCC says, “For the avoidance of doubt a small operator is one that has less than 7.5 percent market share and a new entrant is an operator that has operated less than three years in the market.”

What is the NCC driving at? Well, for one, we know that it is trying to protect small operators like Smile, Spectranet and Ntel. Their major USP for entering into the market was 4G LTE data services and now that the big telcos have also joined 4G gang, things are not looking good for them. Also, the NCC issued a much-overlooked caveat when they withdrew the price floor last year. If my instinct is correct, the reason for this is simple, some people have managed to convince the powers that be that cheap data is why government officials are being annihilated online & not because of their crappy and disheartening outputs...... it's obvious the Telcos are not even in support...

When PDP does it, it is wrong. When APC does it, it is OKAY!

Diezani and Abba Moro were not the specific reasons why PDP lost in 2015.

Collect the difference, you said? Does it make sense? Even if they are to take the difference, NCC has no right to set prices for the private sector, more so when the said new price is a hike. Whatever happend to market forces and competition. It's this type of knee jerk approach to issues that got the nation's economy crippled.

I agree with this submission except the emboldened part.

I believe PDP couldn't have won in Edo and Ondo even if they had their house intact.

In Edo, eight years of PDP compared to the eight of Oshiomole was a no contest and that was always going to help APC.
In Ondo, a governor who is owing 7 months salaries will always be a drag on his party in the election.

In both states, PDP got "that close" because of the economic woes in the land. If not, I am sure many Nigerians will love not to want to have anything to do with PDP with all they did to the country.
