The Chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal, Dan Ladi Umar, has dismissed in its entirety the application of the President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, seeking his disqualification from further trial of the case. Saraki, on Wednesday filed  an application to disqualify Umar, from continuing to preside over his trial. Ajibola Oluyede, a counsel to Saraki, who is being tried for alleged false and anticipatory assets declaration, filed the application shortly after the trial resumed yesterday. He said the tribunal chairman still had a serious corruption case against him with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, and premised his application on Section 36(1) of the constitution, which addressed the issue of biases and the rules of natural justice. Oluyede had unsuccessfully moved a similar application last week, which resulted in a heated exchange between him and Umar. After reading his motion, Oluyede called the attention of the court to a letter written to the Attorney-General by the EFCC chairman in February 2015, which was part of his exhibits against Umar.

Which hero?? The scandalously foolish paragon of corruption is no better than the herd of soulless gargoyles that constitute the bulk of his supporters especially on this forum.

He knew he lost the election, and down in his heart he wanted to derail the process, but upon wise counsel and on consideration that consequence of whatever untoward decision he took will definitely not spare his life in the short/long run, he decided to take a step back.

Jonathan was never a graceful loser as his dry-cleaners want people to believe- he was/is one hell of a terrible loser, just like his inconsolable supporters.

Bt that being the case, it means some folks do nt retire when dey r 60 of age or 35 in service (Amina Shamaki an example if she serves further 8 yrs).
Secondly, the quota system is killin us. Ma reason is that it breeds mediocrity. Look at it this way, if its d quota of ma state n am nt really good enuf n probably there r better candidates, they'l b overlooked n I'll get d promotion/appointment anyway. What dis means is dat d most qualified person stayed relegated n a mediocre got celebrated.

On a more sentimental note, I tink its d quota of the north in everything cus they'r really occupying almost everywhere as it is.
