You've spoken the mind of many who are thinking the same but concerned about the online backlash they might suffer.
It'll help if pictures can be provided.
It's pure common sense that pictures evoke emotions that words wouldn't even capture but....... not one...

What's baffling is that these particular set of blood letting "Fulani herdsmen" actually gave an advance which is totally out of character!!

Law enforcement didn't take position to ward off any potential attack & casualty figures keep changing by the hour!!

The rat stinks to high heaven but politics is more important in this clime than human lives. lipsrsealed

Dear Buhari the National Assembly is an independent arm of government. .

This is democracy.. Call all assembly members to a nice meal in Aso villa and resolve this issue amicably.
You made a sound point & should be the way way out of the impasse, unfortunately, these people's "needs" exceeds the country's income...

d govt was fully aware on of the falling oil price whem they promised to stabilize the internation price of oil.abi na only me hear am ,when this was said?
There was a brief period that oil was trading at $27, (some "analysts" predicted $20)now it has rallied to $40+

OPEC are hurting presently from the glut but with cooperation & protection of collective interests, we should see a $60 price which will greatly relief the intense pressure these member countries are under...

Bear in mind that there is only so much US can do for Shale oil & against ISIS before throwing in the towel...

Taking a hard line accusatory stand solves nothing, Nigeria within the past one year has lost over a trillion naira, ALL oil dependent nations are feeling the strain, let alone a mono export economy..... Saudi is lucky, Hajj/Umrah will bridge some gap.

www.nairaland.com/attachments/3640034_saraki_jpegec9dcce082f2412c7e6b80b1969d667f

The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja today struck out the application filed by the embattled Senate President, Bukola Saraki seeking a stay of proceeding of his trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal over allegations of corruption.

Justice Abdul Aboki who led the 3 man panel, gave the ruling after the defence counsel; Kanu Agabi applied for its withdrawal saying it would be better for them to base their application on the substantive motion which bordered on the jurisdiction of the tribunal to try the Senate president.

The court asked the parties to file and perfect all their documents to enable the parties to get a new date for a hearing.

SaharaReporters learnt that Saraki and his lawyers changed their mind upon discovering that they had not filed the appropriate papers detail a reason for the strange appeal.

The Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court had already decided that the tribunal has jurisdiction in the case.

Mr. Saraki's trial at the CCT will resume again on Wednesday.

Politics › Re: EDITORIAL: Okonjo-iweala And Jonathan’s Profligacy by modath(f): 11:01am On Apr 25, 2016
If the state governors were averse to saving – and we readily admit that they were and still are – did they stop her and Jonathan from doing so? The subsisting revenue sharing formula gives 52.68 per cent to the Federal Government; a government committed to “efforts to save in the excess crude account and the SWF” would have still saved its own share, irrespective of the profligacy of state governors.
Simple question......

Just as the governors did not stop her and Jonathan from saving the federal share of the ECA, they did not force them either to deplete special funds or grant the waivers, exemptions and concessions that the Nigerian Customs Service said cost the country N1.4 trillion in the three years to 2014, in contradiction to her own claim of N170.7 billion for the same period. If what was happening under Jonathan was in conflict with her “high moral standards,” why did she not resign?

Approach? That's the work of Amaechi as a Minister.. Should they beg him to do his job?

APC huh
Everything shouldn't be about supremacy battle, PH airport is a very important hub for the nation & Amaechi doesn't need "begging" before doing his job...

However, Amaechi is the Minister of Aviation Federal Republic Of Nigeria not Federal Republic Of Rivers.. & isn't answerable to wike, it would serve Wike (& Rivers folks) well to befriend Amaechi than antagonize him....

Policy trumps politics anyday, wise people don't leave important issues to fight over inconsequentials..

A president with cojones like Zuma rock of course & your insincerity is out of this world my friend!!!

So Bubu was supposed to sign Town halls, Keke Napep, Salon equipments & state roads that weren't captured in the budget?

They say when two Elephants fight, the grass suffers, NASS is doing this because of us, but the president could care less if we suffer or not as long as he shows everyone how POWERFUL he is, smh
No, Nass is doing this because ;

1. They can't muster 2/3 to veto PMB

2. The extent of their cannibalisation of the budget is now public knowledge.

By the way, you are not the only person whose week is going south (pun intended) cos of NASS acquiescence to PMB's wishes, it's major distressing news for all wailers who previously thought;

A. They can continue to perpetuate the Bubu hates the south narrative (as crazy & flawed a it is.)

B. The NASS will cut Bubu to size, Nah, dem nor reach, na learners dem be!! cool

The duo of Goje and Jibrin also asked their colleagues to stop crucifying them and take responsibilities over the controversies in the budget to be able to resolve the impasse.
The distortion/padding was for their collective selfish interests, a la constituency projects but when shyte hit the fan, most of began to feign ignorance.

“However, we must put it on record that the details aggregated and transmitted to the executive are largely the inputs we received from the standing committees of both the Senate and the House of Representatives,

While illegal miners and Fulani herdsmen are worries that should be addressed (like I said we need another thread for that), comparing that to pipeline vandals is like comparing 'apples and monkeys' -- that's how far apart.

Read the article again with an open mind, and tell me the 2 other ills you mentioned are comparable to pipeline vandalism.
smiley smiley

This thread is going to hell though, cos our people's stance on pipeline vandalism is purely from the POV of either "the violent taketh it by force" or "punishing the government" which are both flawed arguments....

Ideology based struggle is one that is well thought out & will only achieve its desired objective, if ALL have altruistic reasons...

I know for a fact IOCs do the barest minimum for indigenous communities (Jobs, Scholarships, Contracts) , should be doing way way more but some have constituted themselves to kingpins!!
