Couldn't he have left without throwing his ex party members under a speeding train? Left cos of arms deal or because PDP Bauchi has already been interred ?

The guy is a goat, he can't even lie convincingly..

First time he left PDP, he went to ANPP & got the gubernatorial ticket (PDP schemed him out & Bubu raised his hands up), won then promptly returned to PDP.. Now it's Armsgate,

I'm holding my breath for his "reasons" when he finally darts into APC ( Ray Charles can see it from his grave) with his tails between his legs........ Politicians ehn!!

I agree with you, but I was talking about the general election.
For the primary election I know it's gonna be fierce even for PMB himself, considering forces like Saraki and Atiku uniting. Of course Rochas wouldn't stand a chance if a Yoruba is contesting. Anyway let's wait and see.
Which Saraki? Potential former senate president & political outcast ? cheesy ...

Which Atiku? Perpetual Presidential "aspirant" ? Notice i didn't say candidate? , Atiku can't get votes outside of Adamawa....

The person that could have made headway is Lamido , but he is a potential Jailbird..

Who remain for north?

Kwankwanso has been defeathered by Ganduje..

Dankwambo is more popular on Social Media &amongst PDP members than in reality

Ribadu? No comment

Ali Shekau? He couldn't even win his PU last time & his EFCC case will probably keep him busy.

El Rufai is the only competition i can see & there is no way in heyull he will make the switch.

Dey try remove SW from your permutation, haba...did your March 2015 faux pas about the likes of Osoba, Falae, Ladoja's etc "super heavyweight" status & how they had the whole SW in their pockets not teach you a thing or two about SW.... I've told you, stop relying on blogs & your party members lies, you won't know what makes SW tick going by that.... Always ask from neutrals..

The state assembly re run you are referring to, is Iyiola Omisore's Ile -Ife, what else did you expect?
Omisore doesn't scrimp when it comes to spending for elections, the result therefore isn't strange...

Check the 28th march 2015 result , it was the same result pattern, they even got a NASS HOR seat for PDP from the same Ile Ife, but couldn't get the Senatoial cos the voter strength of Ile Ife couldn't stand the Ijesha side of Ife-Ijesha + other towns that make up Osun East Senatorial District which Babajide Omoworare represents, despite PDP' Fadahunsi being of Ijesha (vote splitting purposes) stock as well & spending mega dough... Kapische ?

@Statement in bold:
So if I confront you or any other person on their hypocrisy, it means I'm no longer being civil? I guess you expected a counter attack considering some nasty terms you used on me in your reply just because I said, "I shudder at your reasoning sometimes", but I'm not like that. I hate exchanging words with people, especially when negativity and vulgarity end up getting involved. I may be harsh in attacking people's hypocrisy especially your cohorts here, but rarely do I relate with people here in an uncivil manner.

Read my signature and personal text, and see that there is a minimum standard of behaviour expected of people like me. I may go below that a few times, but I don't make that a habit.

Whatever happens, let there be a sincere eradication of corruption in Nigeria, not the political exercise often being displayed. Most Nigerians won't mind spending all the money and paying all the taxes, especially when they know the money will be judiciously used.
Ciao.
That's a thinly veiled insult, you shudder cos the reasoning is faulty!!! You also don't always do as your siggy asked us to, I too may not be the sweet rose all the time but I don't court drama & 75% of the time I ignore, other times, being human takes over.

Anyway we won't flog this dead horse, there is no detribalised person, neither are we emotionless stick figures, however hypocrisy is relative!! If you don't stick up for your own, your adversaries won't, there is no hypocrisy in that! It's life....

I have hope things will favour Nigerians in the end.

Shekarau couldn't win his PU let alone his ward last time when they had the financial war chest.

Same kwankwanso in 2011 as a PDP member had PMB's image on his poster & urged the people to vote PDP only in the governorship but go with CPC in the presidential...

Politics › Re: FG To Introduce Toll On Some Reconstructed Roads – Fashola by modath(f): 9:49pm On Apr 30, 2016

The roads are bad not because they aren't being tolled or because there is no financial pool for their maintenance. Corruption is the only reason. Contracts for road construction and maintenance are often over inflated, and even at that, the contractors rarely do the work.
Strong political will irrespective of tolls will keep our roads in a very good shape.

Taking Anambra State as a case study, almost all the state roads are in a perfect state. Most of them aren't dualized though, but they are smooth and perfect. That's why Anambra is acclaimed to have one of the best road networks in Nigeria (you can do a Google search on it). But are you aware there is no tolled road in that state? How is the government able to maintain the roads?

Most European countries don't have tolls on their roads. As a matter of fact, tolls are usually instituted when PPP is used in road construction and rehabilitation, not when government bears the burden completely with tax payers' money. Even at that, you also consider the standard of living of the people by considering things like minimum wage, GDP per capita to determine when taxation becomes burdensome for the populace.
See my point, despite the Corruption, our roads were ok when they were making "income" directly,Shebi they can then complain of "no money", no tolls translated to horrible roads! I travelled between Ekiti, Kogi, & Abuja recently, it was hell!

We need to understand things aren't done normal here, we can't compare ourselves to oyinbo people... that we make petrodollars shouldn't impress on us that we can have expectations, our political class won't be that.

We suffer the effects of bad roads, the rich don't care & govt will take care of government officials vehicles... many accidents nko?

P.S..So you could be this civil? Why then do you go off most times?

I think you didn't think this through, if 'road tax" was included in fuel price, there has never been any law/news in the last denying that. If that is the case why tax the citizens twice for same thing?

Isn't it fair and progressive to either ensure that the "road tax" as put to its intended use first or better still the "road tax" discounted from fuel price and road users can then pay toll?

In addition, what resource has been put in place to ensure that this double-tax on road will not face same fate as the 'road tax' embedded in petrol price?

Until we think constructively about little issues like this only then can we make inform decision, rather than making decisions based on emotions and how we feel about things.

Anyways am glad we are having this discussion!
There was no "law" guiding road tax, Obasanjo in his usual way of executive order made the declaration and that was that .

http://nigeriavillagesquare.com/forum/main-square/792-obasanjo-abolishes-toll-gates-nigeria.html

The problem is ; "how do we even determine in a fuel subsidy regime how much "road tax" is? especially when no govt agency can accurately come up with a data of how much PMS is actually consumed ? DPR/NNPC/PPPRA have different figures each & every time..

I asked a question which you side stepped, " What has Ferma been able to achieve within the last 10 years? I can tell you for free- as as frequent road traveler -that the roads fell into complete disrepair after the removal of toll gates....

As for the other point about Toll, you only pricked Europe and left the US (I've been in a ride with someone in a big city and my "chauffeur" decided to take an alternative route to avoid paying the couple of dollars cos it wasn't rush hour) I can't claim to have traveled all the schengen roads in Europe but been in one country and witnessed a tolling situation of regular road users.....

I'm not emotional, I'm a realist, we can't compare our ways to the west's miles apart. i'll rather pay 500 naira fro Lagos to Akure than risk having a burst tire cos of a bad portion no one will take responsibility for!! Nigeria is a peculiar place!!

You would have run GEJ down with your fingers if this idea was initiated by his government. Imagine celebrating toll gates...! I shudder at your reasoning sometimes.
If the idea of tolling our roads was the best, why was it stopped years ago? In a country where citizens struggle to survive on their meagre incomes, somebody is celebrating excess taxation of the people. I seriously SMH for you.
The IB and his cronies were busy looting the treasury, oil wa trading at record high prices, no time for small small things like that.

It takes no genius to know you are one of those that have never left their backwater communities, so probably never encountered any toll gates on our highways!

Seems I have to educate you small, OBJ scrapped it when he increased pump price, claiming "road tax" was embedded in the increment, so Ferma will take care of roads!!

Look around you, that is if you can remove your head from your nether regions long enough to see what's going on around you; where is the evidence of the road tax & the existence of Ferma?

Celebrated highlife musician, Flavour N’abania, has probably broken the hearts of his two babymamas, Sandra Okagbue and Anna Banner, who may be hoping to settle down with the singer someday, following his interview with HipTV where he stated he would not be getting married to any of his Babymamas, adding that  for someone like him, marriage would be a huge distraction and that most artistes at their prime in their trade are bound to crash once they get married. “Marriage is not a thing that you just go into.

This music business is a serious business. My own opinion, I think if you are in the peak of your career, you don’t need any distraction. So for now, I think marriage could be a distraction for me because it is a whole big institution that when you go in, you have to be fully prepared to know what you are getting into,” he said. “And right now, looking at everything, its not so easy for me now….and most of my colleagues, whenever they get married, everything starts crashing down. I keep asking people, have you ever seen a successful musician having a good home and a good career? Its not going to be easy. If you know one, just tell me” he added.

Modath, you really disappoint me sometimes- how could you stoop so low as to join issues with a thing that believes some particular parts of this country are a "birthright" of a particular political party?? How could you discuss politics and democracy with such a thing??

The kind of opinions we get from these people are ominous clues as to what a society their fabled Utopia would look like should they be granted it- a totalitarian, suppressive, oppressive, abusive, un-livable society.

Opinions and positions held by a people whose obduracy could anger even Mahatma's corpse.

Anyone with any allegation of wrongdoing anywhere knows the right quarters to lodge their complaints- nairaland is neither a court not a law enforcement establishment.
90% of the time I ignore them & their misdirected anger but I just feel like indulging them sometimes.... when questions are posed "civilly" even by the most recalcitrant unteachable amongst them, I occasionally make an effort to "helep" them with some sense!!! Mo is nice like that. smiley

Notice, there was no rejoinder, rather a subtle attempt to derail when the points raised showed the evil that was perpetrated by their "beloved" which I'm not going to "allow"!

People are now "chattels" and "birthrights" of a particular political party? Some don't even "Polish their thoughts before giving it free rein"... guess some are not smart enough to realise that is the true definition of slavery!! undecided

Even though i like Buhari.(Chk my previous comments). Why are northern inec officials not given cash? ... going by nuetral analysis, it is expected that the south-south wld vote for Jonathan and d north won't. I expect to see northern state in the map. @saharareporters this is not true.
You see the thing is that El No Clue was only hoping for 25% from the northern states which he erroneously believed the likes of Muazu, Ali Shekau, Samboribobo, Bala M, Shekarau, Ribadu etc had made mouth were in their pockets, so there was no need "tipping" INEC officials, he wasn't expecting much votes from there... The barest minimum would do!!

He expected the votes from the southern states with "high" population like Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Oyo, Delta etc to counter the north like it happened in 2011. Unfortunately he could barely get the "promised" northern voter count as all the featherweight politicians lost even in their PUs!!

The born trowey, Almajiri, brain dead, publis gaffes by Her Royal Pissness, Dame Peshe of Life didn't do them any favours as well!b!

No one should make any mistake about it, the IB actually "rigged" with "technology" and like his lacklustre fight against corruption, he just made a Mr Bean like mess of everything!!!

P.S ; All ye that will start the Kano votes nonsense, check how many Registered voters they have & Nos of PVCs collected!!
