Politics › Re: Let Me Nominate Your Minister, Fayose Urges Buhari by modath(f):
Fayose should start vetting all these road side bukas that he eats in, he has picked a virus in one of them that has introduced tapeworms into his brain. smiley

Amala & moet is also an intoxicating combo.

He knows capable hands but has not appointed commissioners since october that he took oath of office. cheesy

He should not bother, Baba is "dying" and he can nominate a replacement for his position instead. #yeyenatu.
Politics › Re: Osun State Needs Bail Out Then Probe-hzrf by modath(f): 11:19am On Jun 02, 2015
@OP,
Seconded, thirded and even hundreded if such words do exist.... Allocations may not be enough but he needs to explain what he did with the "paltry" one the state got or the wiind blew it away huh.

There is a difference between its not ENOUGH and there is NONE available.

If he had been paying half or missing a few months here and there,it would be understandable but not paying NOTHING for 7months is devilish!!!

Sometimes I feel like he has been cursed, cos this is a 360 from who he was in his 1st term.. When the workers eventually get paid, I don't see a restoration of his previous goodwill, HE HAS TOTALLY LOST IT!!
Politics › Re: Ribadu / Ben Bruce Would Be Good Agianst Buhari In 2019!!! by modath(f):
For strictly the SS/SE!! Ribadu couldn't even manage to win Adamawa state and he is supposed to tackle PMB huh, someone that can't even rout Kwankwanso or Atiku let alone the big daddy himself.

Ben bruce is still like a shiny new toy, his social media campaign is still a new draw, his allure will wear off quick. Time will tell.
Politics › Re: Ribadu, Mark Clash Over National Assembly Budget by modath(f): 7:56am On Jun 02, 2015
Ribadu, I hope will still serve Nigeria, he has a deep love for the country and one misstep shouldn't spell the end of his desire to serve the nation... He means well.

As for David Mark,how he covertly coerced the RMAFC into subtly increasing the NASS annual budget from 50bn to 150bn without causing any uproar still remains a great mystery... Secrecy in NASS spending should be one of the first things to go!!!
Politics › Re: FG Withdraws N2.45bn Fraud Suit Against Sylva, EFCC Kicks by modath(f): 7:15am On Jun 02, 2015
Trust breakingtimes.com to spin the story in a negative light to besmirch the APC/PMB

A part of the six count charge was withdrawn in order to CONSOLIDATE the existing charges

Why are you people like thishuh Buhari knows there is no difference between stealing and corruption unlike your HERO,... Yes I said it, y'all can come out of the woodworks with your usual curses and abuses. undecided

Yorubas have sold themselves into permanent slavery.

We in the better south can not take this rubbish.

All indications point of a northern arrogating cabal in power.

What this means is a renewed struggle for total secession and independence from this fraud called Nigeria.

Yoruba your jihad is here.

Enjoy your Oduastan
grin grin cheesy... Wish Seun has/had rolling on the floor laughing emoticon to qualify the bolded.

Quit playing, we all know all secessionist threats begin and ends online.. wink

The power change wound is still fresh, within the next few months, y'all will run out of steam and let things be....
Politics › Re: Impeachment: Fayose, PDP Beg Buhari To Intervene by modath(f): 6:03am On Jun 02, 2015
This issue has been ongoing since forever and its unlikely that PMB will intervene...
Moreover isn't Baba supposed to be dying at any moment from now huh?... So why call on a "dying" man??

(It was widely circulated to Ekiti small towners and villagers that PMB couldn't stand upright at the inauguration (the state tv & radio didn't air a minute of the programme) and had to be propped up when he started "swaying".. cheesy)

I as is my custom pray the assembly fails in their bid cos Fayose's mea culpa should come from my people, no attempt should be made to assist, they'll never appreciate it..
Travel › Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 2 by modath(f):
@whites,
I made a solemn promise not to go back to that issue & I won't break it.. Only that..

It isn't fair to say "not making sense" "allegations" "impure intentions" after I had reiterated more than 4-5 times that giving details wouldn't go down well with the individual in question...

The person in question was even advised by people around to suck it up & move on cos the embassy had already warned that "childbirth in th US is EXPENSIVE & adequate FINANACIAL arrangement should be made" so making any noise will be counter productive.

I don't regret letting my "emotions" get the better of my intial "reservation" to speak up & give a heads up to higher risk patients. to do their due diligence.

Maybe my being a post two CS mum with a slight high risk may be the reason why I kept responding despite vowing not to do so.

@whites, I swear I had 3 different people PM me to "convince" (this thread I believe has the highest of guests/lurkers/profiteers of the whole of NL) me to go with him & I was initially sold before things unravelled & got myself an HOSPITAL package.

Asides from the above, I'm in the dark about something & would like someone who is steeped in the American way of doing things to enlighten me ;

From people's experiences and my own personal findings. " When a delivery is packaged, there is no BREAKDOWN of service fees, it is ONE OFF and HOSPITAL receives & not the DR/LAB TECH/PAED"...?? In every other case all SERVICES are paid individually by the PATIENT?? Am I correct ??

That was the last, i solemnly do swear. wink

@whites,
You are on point about doing due diligence but dragging his name through the MUD is what I don't agree with, If I wanted to drag his name through the mud as you are saying, I'd have gone into details.

I didn't have any plans of getting into any back and forth with @ejimsky & if you observed well, l let her have the last word as it became an unnecessary distraction, I made my choice after doing due diligence and I trust most people would too.

I'm not speaking from hearsay, this "event" happened to someone close but the person is a private person who would not appreciate being aired on a public forum..

Thank you... *Last word*

On a more serious note, i have submitted myself to a package, let the hospital take care of all the menene, i cant spoke plenty ingrish..

If you go by HEALTH GRADE and YELP, you may have to operate on yourself!! cheesy

NB---As per the press charges point, how? when the embassy had given the "childbirth is expensive in the US, so make adequate FINANCIAL arrangement" caveat.. the person has learnt and moved on...

@bbaby & @tvegas,

I had decided to drop the Drs issue because its not really my business at the end of the day, but the human part of me tried to ignore but couldn't ... Anyone who needs God's blessing will never go around "tarnishing" another's image. The judgement reserved for such a person is better imagined..

Wish i could go into deeper details about this particular case but the person in question is not an internet kind of person and will definitely take exceptions. But....

It is wrong to receive payment for SERVICES you know you are incapable of rendering and dodging the person when the time to "deliver"(pun intended) came

Not everyone has the same experience to share,There are some people that dont speak well of Dr Fagbohun despite being the darling of this thread.
Politics › Re: 'Immunity Or Not, You'll Face The Law' - Buhari On Corrupt Leader by modath(f):
Immunity clause is the bane of nigeria's development. That clause is the no 1 problem of this nation and cant be subverted. .. Rule of law is important.

Unfortunately, the lawbreakers &the governors will make sure any constitutional ammendment that has removal of that clause remain typed papers unless the whole country blackmail them into submission.

Lagosians certainly didn't vote for him to do worse.

Ambode knows equalling Fashola's achievement is semi-failure, the only way to write his own name in the book of history is to do better.

@ifax, thank u o, i wanted asking as this practice is seen in some uneducated Nigerians and cuts across all tribes..Thanks Modath for saying 'some'...some uneducated Nigerians smiley
Don't mind me, *use hand cover face* its the "teenagers" I was trying to qualify and just tagged a whole tribe. My bad..

@ ifax is my kind of person, calling someone out in a constructive manner, apologies once again.

When we talk about uneducated, my relative was a local midwife and I remember when I was a bit young (on holidays then wit my late Gmum) thinking to myself, is it not hospitals that our health education text "says" babies come from!!
