Nigerians are really funny. Someone decides to criticize corruption and he's now the bad guy?

By the way, if you had the money won't u also send ur children to school abroad? I'll certainly do that if I had the cash.

Who'll like to go thru the stress associated with Nigerian universities; from lecturers' intimidation, cultism, incessant ASUU strikes etc?

And what in the world is wrong with the Galleria showing foreign movies? Lyk seriously? huh
Go through my post, I'm an anti corruption advocate to the core, I'm so pro Buhari its not even funny.

You missed my point,I don't have a problem with his biz nor his decision to send his kid to school abroad!! Its his new found late sense of patrotism I'm side eyeing.

He has been going on and on about Zinox being the only computers worth buying, why we should stop eating foreign rice, wheat importantion etc.. Demonising foreign stuff ( we've all seen his tweets)

Be truthful, have you ever heard a peep from Murray Bruce befor this election??

His moves don't come across as genuine, just trying to sell an IMAGE!!!
Politics › Re: Murray-bruce Throws Graduation Party For Son At His Beverly Hills Mansion -pics by modath(f):
His man of the people PR blitz has been
rubbing me the wrong way.

The 8bn NTA transmission/broadcasting equipment saga that was "alledgedly" used to start Silverbird TV is still in the public domain so he should just miss us with the. I LOVE MY COUNTRY shtick he's trying to sell.

He should also promptly stop his "made in naija " championship he has going on on twitter, what's with the demonising non nigerian made stuff??

Why is his son not schooling in Nigeria, why does the galleria show foreign movieshuh?.
Politics › Re: Breaking News: Constitution Amendment Veto Threat: Senate Backs Down by modath(f): 2:05pm On May 13, 2015
Elslim:
The Senate President, Senator David Mark who presided over the plenary said “we are law makers and will not be law breakers. We are not just lawmakers, we are very senior responsible citizens and very senior lawmakers”
Senator Mark, however, said that the Senate will not be taken for granted.
Details soon.
http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/05/breakinf
.....

You are not law breakers but you and your cohorts coerced the RMAFC to increase the NASS budget from # 50b to #150b annually and also ensured constituency allowance that is supposed to to go local govts is "collected" on their "behalf" by the "lawbreakers"

This ammendment would have passed if PDP hadn't lost the presidential election.

The threat about the senate not one to be taken for granted is an empty one cos you will be watching proceeding from the floor @ the 8th assembly.

She isn't blocking queen Aisha, she's only trying to relieve her of the burden & hardwork involved in chairing such a committee that meets once or twice a year to discuss nothing of any value and has zero impact. lipsrsealed

@Newmum2015 and other mums thinking about shipping stuffs from the US. Here is my experience and advice.

Important things to ship

2. Baby clothes and wears can also be bought. Buy more of age 3 months and above. 0 to 3 months become useless quickly. He also got lots of that as gift.

In summary,you can source good products locally,its not all items that is worth shipping. Congrats for all the successful visas and POE stories. One love.
1.You too gbaski!!! Bros, e be like say u enter inside my head cos the bolded is exactly my plan(up to 12mths sef)& @Beryl15's as well .

My son's/daughter's (same one)crib was turned into a washed laundry depository& I've sown it into another mum's life since but swore never to advise anyone close to me expend money on one cos our African babies don't understand that butti level.

One other point of advise is that people should not mind people when they claim the products supplied here have had their quality down scaled (especially when they use price as their point of reference), not true in many cases.

The reason products are more expensive in the US can be linked to Taxation & minimum wage requirements.I bought kojie San for $4.50 in the US but got same product for #500 here, and its the same efficacy.
Same with my baby's beautiful begginings texturiser, $7 in target but #900 here.

Turkish is better you can even decide to get a visa on arrival and stay a day or two on your day back, although I haven't flown them but I have heard they are good and also I want to take advantage of the visa on arrival thing they do for thos with US and UK visas
I thought you had and had a terrible experience with their on board lavatories?

chloe7:
terrible, they had good aircrafts but dirty lavatories, when I even complained nobody did nothing, Awon people yen terrible gan
Not likely to take advantage of the visa thing though, home is koko by then.

ba emailed me sometimes ago not too long ago that they were doing sales I think you should opt for either BA or Delta or united Airlines and airfrance, just be checking every hour you might be lucky to get a price drop that's what I usually do
Ticket already locked down weeks ago,I live in abuja and Delta&united do not come to our neck of the woods

I stalked BA&AF sites before we settled on TA, I have a July/August travel date & the closest was AF with a 509$ price difference, Lufthy & BA weren't even smiling.. With my beer budget, can't be wishing for cristal. wink

I also didn't want to do AF flight change within US with a baby in tow and being on my own.

Try using Delta or BA through agent like travelstart or wakanow. But travelstart is preferrable becos of the options of +-3days also there price is far cheaper than wat u stated earlier.
From many mums experiences,one can deduce purchasing tix through 3rd party agents may create a bottle neck when it comes to adding infant tix or a date change.

Anyone with a different experience can help shed more light.

Which Nigerians are you referring to? Is Jonathan the cause of the scarcity? Will Buhari come and stabilise the fuel issue just like that? Many Buharists are more than ignorant and clueless. I can't wait for May 29

@Newmum15,
Howdy? Permit me to chip in something, I saw where you stated that the crib you are eyeing is 125lb(56kg+) which is heavier than a full bag of rice/cement.

Minus the huge shipping cost,won't that be a nightmare to move around the house and even pack up for storage later? Maybe you can reconsider& look for one that will both be pleasing to the sight and still practical.

& that $35 free shipping doesn't apply to all 3rd party merchants on amazon site.

@Dee&G lady,
Kindly take your place in the heroine hall of fame & where do you want your Nobel peace prize delivered? smiley

@Beryl15,
Qatar is a great airline but the journey itself is undecided.. If there is no option though, you just have to take it as it is.

I booked turkish airline and was initially worried when someone posted how cramped their seats are but someone PMed &assured me the airline is pretty good and will only have a problem if I'm way over 6 feet tall,a. check their site,you may find a price that suits your budget.

@proudy,
It can be fun sometimes not knowing,My son was scanned 2x to be a GIRL and he got beautiful and lovely dresses waiting for "her" and he came out a boy, he had to wear the girl christening dress waiting for "her" cos I was discharged on friday & the naming ceremony was on sunday leaving no time to shop for anything.

When I was dashing out some of the dresses to friends and acquintances who birthed girls, they thought "oh, beautiful dress" not knowing it was meant for my "princess" cheesy

My daughter didn't bother to open leg all through her in vitro stay, this belle, I inform the sonographer as soon as I lie on the table "no sex pls" cos I loved the feeling of being surprised and want to re-live it.. my friends think I'm lying when I tell them I'm not interested in knowing though..

@Mamas
Is it an anomaly to want to wait till d dayhuh??
