also the agent started processing since early dec and it just came out early this week. the visa was effective Jan 6 sha. which is not bad. i paid half @ the start of d application and half after the visa came out and was approved.

Biko, question o. I had my son last year in US and we discovered he needs a surgery now for a small medical condition. If we decide that he shld go to the US for the surgery, will it be right to apply for medicaid? since he is a citizen?

Just walk into the consulate in Lagos from Monday to Thursday between 10 am to 2pm. All the forms you need are there free fill the one you require and it will be notorised for you.
I don't know how much it is right now with the dollar increase just go with NGN 100k you will surely come back with a lot of change.
You can also check the website and send mail to LagosNIV@state.gov for the must up to date information.


@Chibertha.. This is not true any nigerian Lawyer who is a NOTARY PUBLIC CAN SIGN AND STAMP FOR U. You can also go to US embassy, that is also acceptable. when i had my baby a naija lawyer in Nigeria did it and my hubby posted it to me. That was what I used. The US emnassy thing go be long thing cos u will book appt and all. Notary Public officers are plenty in Lagos Island Obalende and all and will do it kia kia for a small fee. Dont stress urself.

I also saw someone i know very well who just got a 14day visa yesterday too. she goes to dubai VERRRRYYYYYYYYYYY frequently - business woman. she was given only 14days. I saw her visa with my korokor eyes

@Hilcrown. i have someone in UAE who works there now and advised my bro shld apply for 90days tourist visa. i called wakanow and they said dubai has stopped 30/60/90days visa. dey do only 14days now... dey do more than 14days for someone going with fmly say wife and kids. the waka now contact also said if u get a guarantor who is a UAE RESIDENT or national the person will give an undertaking that you will come back along with USD3K deposit. please wat say ye people? what is the nex way forward?

I spent three months with a friend who we had gone to school tegether...Pry sec and Uni. Hadnt seen her in years since she left Naija just before our NYSC. I help with dishes - ALL the time, trash, her daughter, cooking etc. she was also pregnant and due in sept while i was due in June. wen i was leaving naija i called her and asked what she wanted me to bring for her. she said nothing. but i took dried fish and garri and plenty weave on and attachment. cos i dint wan to take smthg she wldnt use. those three months were lovely. we had a good time to catch up on gist and all. I tell people the help and assistance she gave me and support while i was with her and her fmly, i cannot ever pay her back. She was TOO GOOD to me. I always pray for her. Now that i am praying and planning for number 2 next yr, she has told her husband in advance and gotten his permission for me to stay with my one year old plus son! You have to be helpful and not be a burden to anyone you stay with, family or not! my two cents!

i did my own change of name in Ikoyi about 4 weeks ago. they still charged me 50k. i filled d form by myself, paid in d bank by myself and wrote all d letters and provided docs. dey still charged me 50k o! got it in about two weeks and a few days

I had my baby last year in Iowa and i had CS. I didnt stay up to the required number of days in the hospital i was fine and they said it was ok for me to go home so I checked out of the hospital earlier. i had asked for a refund verbally from the accts dept since a nurse had said they will refund if i dont stay up to 4days, accts said no that they cant refund. i recently heard of a testimony or two testimonies of refunds being given to people and I thought i should write the hospital. has anyone experienced this? any format? i dey find dollars this one wey dollar scarce ooo.. anyone help if u have had a refund..how did u do it? I am a june mum, got inthru Atl yday,smooth all d way. Had paid doc in advance and got a letter from her and an appt for today. I used a wheelchair...smooth no issues. Got my visa last yr wen i was single n not preggy.he asked why i was inthe us...i said vacation ,shopping n to have my baby. Askedf or evidence showed him and was stamped for 6mths
