obataokenwa:All governments will eventually open up, it's just a matter of time. |
obataokenwa:I believe eventually, every State will go the Kano way. Kano people have willingly exposed themselves all to the virus and got infected all. Some died along the way while others recovered... The case in Kano now is what we call 'herd immunity'... Some weeks back, everyone in Kano was sick with the coronavirus symptoms, but now the sickness is over and people go about their businesses without wearing masks or using sanitizers and nobody is sick again.

I wish us all a happy social distancing Eid-ul-Fitr.

Tripitaka:And the sentence would start counting from the day he was detained. So he had basically spent about 5years out of 7 already. |
GAZZUZZ:Omo I get am plenty for here... Chloroquine ti takover |

Last time they said frequent sex keeps one away from the virus and now this... |
heykims:The border should have been closed when the first index case was recorded in Lagos... The North would've been at peace by now. |
Tanzania's President John Magufuli has dismissed imported coronavirus testing kits as faulty, saying they returned positive results on samples taken from a goat and a pawpaw. Magufuli made the remarks during an event in Chato in northwestern Tanzania on Sunday. He said there were "technical errors" with the tests. The president, whose government has already drawn criticism for being secretive about the coronavirus outbreak and has previously asked Tanzanians to pray the coronavirus away, said he had instructed Tanzanian security forces to check the quality of the kits. They had randomly obtained several non-human samples, including from a pawpaw, a goat and a sheep, but had assigned them human names and ages. These samples were then submitted to Tanzania's laboratory to test for the coronavirus, with the lab technicians left deliberately unaware of their origins. Samples from the pawpaw and the goat tested positive for COVID-19, the president said, adding this meant it was likely that some people were being tested positive when, in fact, they were not infected by the coronavirus. "There is something happening. I said before we should not accept that every aid is meant to be good for this nation," Magufuli said, adding the kits should be investigated. On Saturday, Magufuli announced that he had placed an order for a herbal treatment for the coronavirus touted by the president of Madagascar. "I have already written to Madagascar's president and we will soon dispatch a plane to fetch the medicine so that Tanzania can also benefit from it," he said. The herbal remedy, called "Covid Organics" and prepared by the Malagasy Institute for Applied Research, is made out of Artemisia, a plant cultivated on the Indian Ocean island of Madagascar. Despite a lack of scientific evidence, President Andry Rajoelina of Madagascar claimed that the remedy has already cured some Madagascans of COVID-19. Children returning to school have been required to take it. https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2020/05/tanzania-president-questions-coronavirus-kits-animal-test-200503174100809.html?fbclid=IwAR29D2lgrOt5uuv2ixLsPVfSIin3ArMk1wr1ndSSxayDbMQ7SfjhFqthqUA

loosecanon50:You apparently didn't get the message as expected.... You've exposed how low your IQ is... Now go and seek for interpretation from families and friends. |
loosecanon50:It's America, Spain and Italy that have been dragging the world backward with their high confirmed cases and fatalities. Did you get the message or I should retune it? |
9japride:Coronavirus has no respect for region or religion. US, Italy and Spain come to mind whenever issues of covid-19 fatalities are being discussed... Meanwhile, the virus is still actively present in the Country, so you shouldn't be in a hurry to start pointing fingers, cos you're not safe... Not just yet. |
moralistic:I see how the good personal hygiene helped the numbers in Lagos... |
Agent8706:Yeah, many people test positive and without any symptoms or any drugs, they get better and turn negative. If you panick, you'd be stressed and stress lowers immunity, which makes body susceptible to diseases. |
Adesina18111:DogonYaro tree is everywhere in the North. From where I stand here, I can count more than 100 DogonYaro trees full of leaves ![]() |
Don't bring up any issue asides corona for now. |
mamapidgin:Well, you're right to some extent, cos last week I had persistent cough and fever, and I totally convinced myself that I contracted the virus. I however visited the hospital amd I was diagnosed with malaria and they gave me anti-malaria and cough syrup, and now I'm better... But there's this voice inside me that's still trying to convince me that I have the virus, especially after watching some coronavirus news or browsing about it on the net. How I wish the below house is mine.
|
QuickStandard:I have persistent cough and fever. I went to the hospital yesterday, and they sent me to do some tests. The fever turned out to be malaria, so they gave me antimalaria and some cough syrup. Now the cough has stopped and the fever is subsiding. |
The way people mingle without any protection in the National Assembly is really scary. Nobody wears face mask and hand sanitizers are not readily available. |
DabuIIIT:Get a life... I'm outta here. |
DabuIIIT:You're obviously the one in severe pains. |
Girlbestfriend:Thanks |
And the panic buying starts right now
|
seunlayi:I don't know what they were thinking when they refused to shut our doors to foreigners. May be they were still thinking it was a game or what? Now, only God knows the number of unreported/undetected cases we have in this Country. They were busy with their governance while the virus was being circulated. |
Citytrend:I'm telling you bro. Na so people go just dey die dey go ![]() |
DabuIIIT:It is not Alumajiri, it is Al-muhajir meaning emigrant, and you're right cos I left my State for Abuja, and I'm enjoying it, while you probably have never been to Abuja, talk less of residing there. Let's sustain this status quo and see. Should I increase the volume please? |
DabuIIIT:I don't do no cow business.. I collect huge amount of money from the Government coffers monthly, while you're there wallowing in pains. How about that? |
DabuIIIT:Hausa/Fulani seems to be your greatest nightmare in this country. A day cannot pass by without you people mentioning them and they don't seem to care about you at all. |
The Federal Government has placed embargo on all recruitments into its civil service. The Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Mrs. Zainab Ahmed, disclosed this while speaking with journalists after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Wednesday. She said the federal government would continue to pay salaries and would not sack workers but place embargo on recruitment exercises and replacement. “On recruitment, there is already an instruction to stop recruitment. What the agencies have been doing is replacement but even that is being suspended. When things improve, we will go back to the issue of recruitment. But for now, our wage bill is already very high. “The president has directed that salaries and pensions must be paid unfailingly. So, we are not looking at downsizing in anyway. We are maintaining our workforce as it is. But we are just stopping the increase in the size of the nominal roll,” the minister said. Mrs. Ahmed also spoke on a number of measures approved by the FEC to cushion the effects of the Coronavirus pandemic on the nation’s economy. Why not kuku scrap subsidy totally? |
CanadaOrBust:Yeah, I think I'm just being a hypochondriac. |
CanadaOrBust:I think they've shared some numbers to contact when there's a suspected case, but I don't know if the numbers are working. I remember the time I had a cut during manicure, and all of a sudden the thought of getting infected with HIV using unsterilized tools came to my mind. The next day I started developing symptoms of HIV and that was how the symptoms keep increasing by the day, until after I decided to run a test. Even after getting a negative result I still wasn't satisfied. I kept repeating the test every month for more than a year until I finally realized that I was just having a HIV scare. |
