Okoroawusa:Do you think the status quo would be maintained if the country disintegrates? Once the big elephant falls, smaller animals would now have the courage to raise fingers at its fragments. |
Presidiotbuhari:Why are you in such a hurry to expose yourself as an impostor? It is evidently clear that you are a Christian who's trying to sow a seed of discord in the minds of a particular section of the Muslim population. I'm glad to re-inform you that there are Igbo Muslims and they conduct their activities like any other Muslim at the National Mosque. I will advise you to try and obtain your square root, since you are neither a Christian nor Jew... The Jews have rejected you and you don't practice the Christianity the way it's supposed to be practiced... |
Femiwilli: I haven't seen the part where "Public Holiday" was mentioned in the whole report. I stand to be corrected. |
Presidiotbuhari:Let me correct an impression here. The declaration was made by the Supreme Council For Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) led by the Sultan. The committee comprises a collection of scholars from different parts of the country including the South-West and they work harmoniously without any ill affection. Secondly, there is a sizeable number of Igbo Muslims in the country and are well represented in the committee too. If you had ever been to the National Mosque, the pre sermon preaching is delivered in the three major languages, Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba while the main sermon is delivered in Arabic. |

Rashida Ajayi said she made just £300 a year as a domestic worker at the home of Teresa Abu and her husband Joel. The couple disputed her claims that she was a victim of ‘labour exploitation’ between 2005 and 2015, but Master Victoria McCloud sided with Ms Ajayi. She said Ms Ajayi had been prevented from having a wage ‘sufficient to give her basic freedoms’. The case was heard at London’s High Court in July, but the details have only emerged recently. Master McCloud wrote: ‘The overall picture I have from the evidence is that Ms Ajayi was kept in economic servitude. ‘Her circumstances in the Abu household were oppressive servitude.’ She said they ‘fell short of the standards which the law of the land requires as a basic minimum for the dignity of the worker and their remuneration’. Ms Ajayi said she had been subjected to ‘minimally paid domestic servitude’ and had ‘little or no personal freedom’ after being brought to the UK from Nigeria. Mrs Abu, a civil servant involved in policy support at the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, and her husband disagreed. They said they ‘treated her as a member of their family, paid her appropriately or perhaps at times generously for the work she did’. The judge made no ruling on compensation for Ms Ajayi. The location of the home is not known. http://metro.co.uk/2017/08/21/civil-servant-kept-nigerian-woman-at-her-home-in-oppressive-servitude-6868427/#ixzz4qW8Kp4BL |

Manji Cheto, a senior vice-president at Teneo Intelligence, told Al Jazeera that Buhari's speech was "anticlimactic" and "instead of allaying fears opened the doors for speculation." "His speech was very big on unity and he did mention security problems," said Al Jazeera's Catherine Soi, reporting from Abuja. "He did mention how distressed he was about some comments on social media but people were expecting him to give more details about his status, about what has been ailing him. "People wanted to hear more about that but he did not mention anything to do with that, so that's a disappointment."
