To summarise Neitzsche's idea, in the context of that statement; If God doesn't exist, then life has no objective meaning. If life has no objective meaning, should we create one for ourselves? In creating one for ourselves, are we then killing God and taking his place? Are we now Gods of our own selves? Do we have the intellectual strength to bear this enormous burden?
