My calculation: Brand new VW Beetle and Datsun panel van as at 1981 (23 years after 1958) were sold for #3,000 each. #100,000 will surely buy minimum of 30-33 units. Assuming such cars are sold for #1.5-2million these days, 33 units will be around 45 to 60million. The man was really rewarded to be candid. Well, thank God for 2015, GEJ has remembered him.
