ABUJA – National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief John Oyegun on Monday said that Nigerians who are non card carrying members of party were likely to serve as Ministers in the government of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Following the debt crisis in Osun State, Former Minister of Education and convener of the Bringbackourgirls group, Oby Ezekwesili, has called on the Governor of Osun State, Rauf Aregbesola, to rescue the state from its fiscal woes. According to her leadership is for the time of crisis.
“Governor @raufaregbesola must absolutely apply himself to solving the broken public finance in Osun State. Leadership is for time of crisis,” she posted on Twitter.

Oby demanded a full disclosure on the state of public finance nationwide as she believed that many states are suffering the same fate with Osun.
“Our Federating Units-- FG, 36 States & 774 LGAs need a bitter truth discussion on the viability of our current economic & fiscal structures. Our country has critical structural problem that hampers it from actualizing potentials.

“Don’t use “bandage” to solve structural problems. We all know of Osun's fiscal woes but many other States are not better. Let there be full disclosure on state of public finance nationwide.
“Who would have imagined that a State in the South West would be a "Poster State" for such public finance reproach? Oil wealth syndrome kills.

“Nigeria cannot continue to be enslaved to vagaries of oil market. You want to lead? Then be ready to work hard & lead us out of oil wells.”
Whilst she urged Nigerians to focus on their state level leadership, she believes the only way to address this challenge is for states to generate revenue and stop being Federation Revenue Spending Levels.
