Politics › Re: What President Buhari Has Achieved Within 10-days In Office by Mogidi: 10:14am On Jun 15, 2015
worksmart:
Buhari was toppled 30th May 2015.

Otherwise why do you think he failed to appear to inaugurate the National Assembly?

Buhari who has never missed any national event before.

All images of him abroad were all recorded prior to 28 May 2015.
I knew it....thanks for confirming what I'd always thought.
Buhari is a figment of my imagination, the man doesn't exist, no one that stupid exist in real life.

How do you know he did not read the bill, Mr Attention Seeker? Have you taken the time to review it yourself?
Why should I believe an article in Punch newspaper made up of rhetoric rather than the woman who sponsored the bill?
Here is what she said:
No where in the SEXUAL OFFENCES BILL That I
proposed; no where in the bill passed by Senate
was it stated that you can defile an 11 years old.
No where in the bill passed by the Senate was
the age “11 years” mentioned.

Politics › Re: These People Have Hijacked Our Change Again by Mogidi: 9:43am On Jun 15, 2015
You got it all wrong, there was no change in the first place.

You can't hijack what was merely a campaign slogan. The only change is that we have an illiterate who sees Germany as West Germany.

Here is what was passed in relation to your area
of pre-occupation which is defilement clause 6
(2): “A person who commits an offence of
defilement shall upon conviction be sentenced
to imprisonment for life”.
You claimed that the bill re-defined “female
adulthood as marital status”. Where in the bill
proposed by me and where in the bill passed by
Senate did you see adulthood linked to marital
status? The extreme distortion of the spirit,
intent and even content of this bill leads me to
think that you may be talking about an all-
together different piece of legislation.
Soyinka should have read the bill before commenting, at 80yrs plus, I hope the great playwright is not waning.

2. In the House of representatives election for speaker, all the APC representatives were present yet APC could not register its authority as the majority party. Their anointed candidate still lost.

With the mathematical illustration in my original post, it's clear Saraki would win that election even if it is conducted on the moon ten times.

APC should do Goodluck, call Saraki and congratulate him.
Can't fault your analysis, there was no way Tinubu was going to get his way.

I heard APC senators were all genuinely happy Tinubu's stooge didn't win.

Politics › Re: Fatigue: Buhari Was Asleep When Saraki Emerged Senate President by Mogidi: 9:15pm On Jun 10, 2015
Buhari's legendary love for sleep is going to be his undoing. He should have known that as president, his usual 12-14hrs daily sleep is gone for now. If he wants to sleep I suggest he relocates to Daura, he has enough beds to doze on there.

One of the placards read:Lagos is not a no man's land.

If Lagos is not a no man's land why is Niger Delta oil that was used in building Lagos and Abuja not a no man's oil?
You can't eat your cake and have it, meanwhile the Oba is wanted by ICC.

Tambuwal: Why I Will Not Leave PDP
Muhammad Bello and Jude Okwe
For the second time in one week, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Aminu Tambuwal, has been at pains to provide clarification on his party affiliation, stating that it is not in the character of his politics to abandon a political party just because it is in crisis.

However, in an interview in Akamkpa, Cross River State Monday evening, the speaker said rather than abandon the PDP midstream, he would prefer to remain in the party to help fix its problems, as that was the hallmark of a politician with principles
No need to return till 2019, stay in your position, we need you there.

Politics › Re: Twelve Day's In Office And Buhari's "Achievements" by Mogidi: 8:32pm On Jun 10, 2015
Considering Buhari ran 3 unsuccessful presidential elections, you'd think he was ready for governance, events since he took over prove otherwise. Am sure even his loyal supporters are wondering what happened to the "super man" Buhari.

You'd have thought Buhari had names of people he wanted to work with, the direction governance was going to be under his stewardship etc, what we have is endless rhetoric like the election was still ongoing.
Am not disappointed in Buhari, I never believed in the messianic thing Tinubu's newspaper made him out to be.

Politics › Re: INEC Asks Tribunal To Dismiss Petitions Against Wike by Mogidi: 10:44pm On Jun 09, 2015
Meanwhile, challenging the competence of the petitions, INEC insisted that by virtue of section 285(2) of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended), under which the tribunal was established, “a tribunal sitting in Abuja cannot qualify as a tribunal established in Rivers State.”
They took the case to Abuja knowing what they did to the judiciary in Rivers State.

How does intervening in a crisis so that it doesn't divide the party translate to supporting a camp against another one?

And you lied by saying he intervened but failed when all reporting outlets said he didn't attend the meeting.

Ol boy, I don tire for your case today o.
Only when it became apparent Saraki was having none of it. Anyway, lets agree to disagree on this one.
