Politics › Re: APC Cloning Voter Cards, PDP Insists by Mogidi: 11:59pm On Nov 24, 2014 |
About 1,700 Voter Cards have been recovered from a swampy forest in the Seme, Badagry area of Lagos State by the policemen attached to the Area K Command, Morogbo.
According to Punch, the police said the recovered VCs, which had been handed over to the Independent National Electoral Commission, Lagos State office, are suspected to have been stolen from an INEC worker in the Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government Area.
Confirming the incident, the Lagos State Police Public Relations, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, said, “The materials were hidden in a swampy area in Seme. The police did not arrest any suspect because the area is not a neighbourhood. It is an abandoned location. We now know what actually goes on in APC data centres. |

Johnnyessence: thenationonlineng.net/new/2015-amosuns-deputy-chief-of-staff-three-others-resign/ Governor Ibikunle Amosun’s Deputy Chief of Staff, Alhaji Shuaib Salisu and three other members of Ogun State Executive Council have resigned their appointments to contest the 2015 elections in compliance with the 2010 Electoral Act. Amosun made this known at the State Executive Council Meeting held on Monday in Oke – Mosan Governors’ Office, Abeokuta. According to the Governor, the resignation of the quartet was to allow them pursue their political ambitions in the 2015 elections. Also resigning from the cabinet are – Dr. Lanre Tejuosho, the Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Gbenga Otenuga, Commissioner for Urban and Physical Planning and Mr. Tunde Sanusi, the Special Adviser on Environment. The governor said many other special assistants and appointees have also resigned to participate in next year’s election. Ibikunle Amosun would soon become the only member of his cabinet, anyway, not surprised everyone is leaving a drowning ship though. |

donphilopus: What's this guy saying for God's sake?! Lemme let you know now that I neither understand Yoruba nor can I speak the language. What you don't know is that most of our parents were taught Yoruba language when they were in school; I was not taught that language in school plus most of them grew up in Yoruba land.
Are you trynna tell me that Ogbemudia should stop claiming Edo because they're Igbo-speaking area?! Or, are you more Edo than him?! The way Ogbemudia is from Edo, that's how you're from Edo and that's how I'm equally from Edo! Can you show me link where Yoruba was taught in Edo/Midwestern schools? I think you're confused as to where you come from because my parents were never taught Yoruba in school. Ogbemudia is an Edoid name not an Igbo name or you don't know the meaning of Ogbemudia? I think Ogbemudia's mother is from (Ika) Igbanke. Ogbemudia is as Edo as much as me but you people from Akoko-Edo has more in common with the Yorubas than with Edo. Bros tell me when you're ready to relocate, I'd send money for the transportation. Lets keep Edo state for Edo speaking people. |

All the old elderly ones in my town are in need of Change, they want Jonathan out. Or, you think because they're old they don't have television or radios to listen to News [Yoruba Version]?! They all know what's going on in Nigeria and they're desperately in need of Change! Since you people are Yorubas why not join Ondo state? Why do you claim Edo when you're actually Yoruba? Be proud of being a Yoruba man for once, there's nothing wrong in being Yoruba. @em77 No sane SS citizen believe Buhari will be better for us than GEJ. We won't forget what Buhari did with PTF money. idumuose: There is nothing in that interview that Oshiomhole said that i did not believe. He is also eloquent.I do not think PDP should have anything to do in edo state again after destroying the state for almost 10years.Anenih used Igbinedion and oghiadome to molest the state. PDP didn't destroy Edo state, Igbinedion destroyed Edo, lets get that straight. Prof. Osumbor only ruled for a short time but he did more than Igbinedion did in his 8yrs as governor. Oshiomhole is undoubtedly an eloquent speaker and has always wowed his audience with rhetoric. Same Oshiomhole, painfully explaining the folly of rigging elections shamefully rigged our local govt elections to install his cronies. You would have seen the TV clips of unrest when he imposed his proxy in Esan. Don't get me wrong he did well in his first term, this new Oshiomhole is different from the NLC's Oshiomhole whom I voted for. Your take that PDP will never win Edo state is very wrong. APC will win in Afemai but Esan is PDP so Benin is the battle ground. GEJ would win with a large margin and for governorship if PDP fields a notable Benin man it would be a walk over. We tend to vote personality rather than party in Edo state. For information purposes only, it was Anenih that gave Oshiomhole the documents that proved PDP lost the election. Anenih was never comfortable with Osumbor an OBJ loyalist. Oshiomhole has Anenih to thank for making him governor. |

MB: I said to grab power from PDP SS: Ok, how can you improve the economy? MB: I will fight corruption SS: What are your plans for healthcare and education? MB: I will stop corruption SS: What's your plan for housing and urban development? MB: I will kill corruption SS: How can you fix insecurity, especially Boko Haram? MB: I will murder corruption SS: How can you build roads and upgrade infrastructure? MB: I will finish corruption SS: What are your plans for youths empowerment and agriculture? MB: I will destroy corruption SS: Excuse me Sir, why is your agenda centred on corruption alone? MB: It’s because the corruption under Goodluck Jonathan is unprecedented and I'm the only person that can end it. SS: Really and you didn't end it during Abacha's regime when Nigeria was the most corrupt country in the world in 1997, second most corrupt country in 1996 and third in 1998 according Transparency International Report? You quietly served under that most corrupt government and nobody heard your voice about corruption. MB: **his face changes** I beg your pardon Stephen. Did you bring me here to insult me? Was this what we discussed when you invited me? SS: Mr. Buhari, this is BBC HardTalk - a no-hold barrel interview session. Pls, can you kindly answer my question? MB: I ain't gonna answer you (he tries to speak like an American but with Fulani accent) SS: Why Mr. Buhari? MB: Because I wasn't the president then SS: Ok, that reminds me. During your illegitimate regime (1983-85), you jailed the following persons between 70-100 years jail terms even when some of them did nothing: Alex Ekweume, Sam Mbakwe, Ambrose Ali, Emeka Ojukwu, Lateef Jakande, Jim Nwobodo and Fela etc. MB: They were corrupt. That was why I jailed them. SS: What about Ibrahim Awwal - your personal friend and the then governor of Niger state? MB: He was not corrupt SS: Excuse me Sir. Ibrahim Awwal was arrested at Heathrow airport right here in London with £14m. You simply placed him under house arrest for few weeks; the same way you placed Shehu Shagari (the then president) under house arrest, but locked up Alex Ekweme (the VP) in Kirikiri. Why? MB: Ain't gonna stay here and listen to this f**king bullshit (still speaking like an American) SS: Mr. Buhari, it seems you're a tribal bigot because it's on record that you never jailed corrupt politicians from your region even when they were the most corrupt. ---------------------------------- At this point Buhari couldn't bear it anymore. He got up and grabbed Stephen Sackur on his shirt collar. Met Police invaded the studio and got him arrested. The Police said, do you think here is Nigeria where you threaten "dogs and baboon" or where you lament that the "fight against Boko Haram is war against the north"? This is the United Kingdom...you'll be jailed for assault! Buhari stops speaking like an American and switches to Hausa language: Don Allah kada ku kurkuku ni. Kamar mayar da ni zuwa Nijeriya. Wani ya kamata don Allah sa ni El-Rufai wayar o. (Please do not jail me. Just send me back to Nigeria. Someone should please get me El-Rufai phone o) LMAO! @cosmatika Bros abeg am saving this one, I haven't laughed this hard since Buhari said "kworruption". |

duni04: Oga to obtain a warrant from a judge! If you know there's nothing sinister behind your search, the protocol is to go to a judge and get a warrant to search the place. Its not a long process. Have your investigation proven they didn't have a court order? |
Politics › Re: Why We Raided A Computer Office In Lagos - DSS by Mogidi: 12:35pm On Nov 23, 2014 |
duni04: The onus is on the DSS to prove to a judge that nefarious activities are taking place in that place and obtain a warrant to search the place. Let's even agree that illegal activities were taking place there. If the DSS tries to prosecute the persons involved, the case will be thrown out on a technicality because there was no warrant to search the place in the first place. Why would the DSS need to warn them they were coming by going to court? Wouldn't that give them ample time to destroy all records? |
Politics › Re: Why We Raided A Computer Office In Lagos - DSS by Mogidi: 12:33pm On Nov 23, 2014 |

Who was the person that petitioned APC? And why did they impersonate the Navy when the Nigerian Navy has officially said they had nothing to do with such operation.
PDP want their hands on a copy of APC membership register. The question is what dubious agenda does the killer party has in motion? You seems to speak with conviction, were you there when the raid took place? How are you sure the APC staff didn't destroy those computers to hide their activities? |

wirinet: This is the favourite quote of PDP, they commit all sorts of Illegality with the excuse of "Go to court" know fully well that they have basterdized the judiciary. It would take years to get reprieve in the courts if you get it at all. By the time the case gets to the supreme court, the judgement would have become irrelevant. Elections is coming up in less than 3 months time, and the PDP is intimidating opponents and the opposition party with police, DSS, SSS, and hooded men, and they are screaming go to court. Would it be more apt to say go to hell? |
Politics › Re: Why We Raided A Computer Office In Lagos - DSS by Mogidi: 12:27pm On Nov 23, 2014 |
duni04: Spoken like a true illiterate. So the DSS has the right to invade and vandalise houses in Lagos or any other part of Nigeria without signage? The DSS has the right to invade any place used for nefarious activity, if you have a problem with that, I suggest you head to court. |
Politics › Re: Why We Raided A Computer Office In Lagos - DSS by Mogidi: 12:25pm On Nov 23, 2014 |
wirinet: So what is the offense here? Is it an offense no to put up a signpost in front of an office. I for one refuse to put up a sign post in front of my office, have i broken Nigerian law? I have been to a big packaging office at Oba Akran in Ikeja, it took me hours to locate the office because there was no sign whatsoever in front of the big factory.
To me putting up a sign post or not is at the discretion of the owners of the office.
Even as big as bet9ja is, I had a difficult time locating their head office at Ojuelgba, because at that time there was no sign whatsoever in front of their office. Now there is only a small banner at the Gate. Its ok not to put a sign post of your business, except you're in the business of campaigning for votes in which case publicity is vital. Are APC offices shy of publicising their party? |
