It’s as if they just sit somewhere, watch you come up with a way out then boom � policies that send you right back to the starting point

A good example is this recent NIPOST policy, why bring up such rules when people are struggling so hard to make ends meet.
The only thing our government is good at is rolling out policies as far as it benefits them

Annoyingly these innovative thinkers are not hard to find

of course they are everywhere. So many Nigerian youth have something good burning inside of them if only the they have the necessary backing

Not only are they not innovative. They frustrate innovations in this country. The Government once attempted to ban the so-called BBN

of course they do , they just want to keep us hungry and tamed

These people go abroad and see things now, how come they are not moved to do same things here

They don't believe in the different ways of doing things. They see those ways as youthful exuberance

I think with our leaders it’s more than that, they don’t want to be questioned and youth are known for asking questions and challenging authorities

The marginalisation is so real and they want to keep it that way so we keep licking their boots

I think they are frightened by the thought of low class Nigerians rising hence they frustrate every effort of a low class Nigerian rising

Leadership also include identifying innovative minds. And that is why the youth must be drawn into government

the ones we have so far do not care about innovative minds because they are not moved by the thought of improving the lives of Nigerians

We have such bright minds, but these greedy old men will not just let them . Even when these people try to do something for themselves they still come up with policies to frustrate their effort

We can just imagine what this nation would look like if we have innovative thinkers making important decisions for us

As long as we are being led by people without vision and who refuse to improve, our situation will not get better

Our problem is not that we lack the know-how , the problem is with our attitude and absence of patriotism

It’s in this country that government owned businesses do not function well because of lackadaisical attitude but if that same business is left in the hands of private individuals it blooms. Vthat should tell us something

Our leaders just need to have innovative minds around them to make things worktop, but their greed won’t let them

A states with millions of people are rivalled by few high-tech and smart guys mean that this country is viable

we have capacity to make things work if only we make up our minds

The design of the house alone can be studied as a course in UNI

the organisers are obviously talented, they know their onions

I feel if the show remove all those excesses , it will not sell anymore cos that’s all it has to offer

Coincidentally, the show originated from bringing scientist together in America. The idea probably was to ensure that they are not distracted but it turned to be drama and that was how BB was born. Adults will always play adult kind of play. I can't be playing baby play na. Who is watching is my issue. And the show has to tone down.

i understand that as adults especially in male and female there’s tendency that affection will grow and all even in shows like GUS we used to see when two adults are beginning to like each other but that doesn’t mean they will be caught making out on camera cos there’s discipline. BB doesn’t frown at such rather it seems that is what makes the show sell

I know there are real talents in the house every year and the show provide exposure for such, that’s fair. But what’s sad is when housemates with toxic behaviour gets celebrity title

There is nothing that happens in big brother's house that doesn't happen in more 98 % of the house of adults in Nigeria. Even if you bring professors together and show them 24 hours, it will still be the same.

thats not true, the idea of the show doesn’t kick against such display that’s why adults come there to do such. Didn’t adults stay together for gulder ultimate search? Did they do all these on camera ? No

Also the shown doesn’t guarantee that your intelligence will keep you in the house. People just have to like and doing things to make them like you is a lot

Great point, l think Mercy's win did not help supporters like me but the winners before at least Efe and the other guy never twerked.

thats just to show you that the goal of the show isn’t to promote good behaviour it’s just to entertain and so far the viewers are entertained the housemates can do keep doing whatever

Personally I don’t have a problem with the show even though I don’t enjoy it. Also watching it and getting addicted is a choice
My pain is the fact that brands prefer to spend millions on this kind of show while they spare ridiculous amounts to reward real intellectuals

The show promotes intelligence to some extent, resilience and grit to a large extent. The show is a good show for an adult. The problem is when teenagers are watching it.

Maybe intelligence to some extent but grit and resilience? How?

If only shows that promote good success traits will attract so much attention and funding and stand the test of time . This will encourage us a youth that you don’t need to twerk to make it

Certainly not, but you can see the conscious effort the organizers are making not to just bring twerkers into the house.

even so, I think the immoral part will not go away cos that’s one the the things that sell the show. Probably if that is taken away the show stop selling this much

This is another there story of the social divide of the society excelling while the intellectual divide are just running backwards.

thats the bias of people condemning the show, does the show promote pure intelligence, resilience and grit cos those are part of the ingredients that makes success

I understand the beef towards this show but the truth most people who complain about it don't watch it. An average housemate in the show is an intelligent person.

really? Maybe so but does intelligence alone keep you in the house

It’s even promoting quick riches syndrome that’s why millions will do anything to be there

Entertained and engaged. There is a social benefits to that as well. An idle mind is the devil's workshop. BB Naija has some positive impact on crime rate.

no doubt about that, the show portrays so many negative things as norm

The problem is probably if it was a more impactful show, it might not attract so much sponsorship. Immorality sells faster no doubt
