Some of the things like decent dressing will be an issue because decency means different things to different but there is always a way our leaders can work on that. There are still good music is just that the bad ones are and the government is not just paying attention to them. What does it take to draw a line. NOTHING!

i do not the government can do much about how a person decides to dress since it’s a free state. My own is the that government should do what’s expected of them the rest will follow

Obviously they make mockery of us, the oath of office and even God yet they work freely and live their best lives afterwards

Should we now say it’s Gods fault for being so merciful and patient? Cos Nigeria leaders don’t deserve that kind of grace

To think we all claim to be either Christians or Muslims who are quick to defend their religious beliefs, yet we do so many unimaginable things for money

I’m sure their excuse to their children will be, “ I’m doing all of these for you “ I need to secure your future. That will be their comforting words
Then their children live kings and queens amidst so much hardship

If you believe in a place you will most likely succeed in it. Those that still believe in Nigeria will find it easier to succeed in it. I mean real success, not stealing and buying cars. Teach your kids to believe

It’s on this country that few people just sit somewhere to play the country like puzzle. They decide ahead of the people and fix up their bootlickers into offices . Whatever the people do afterwards doesn’t count

Anyone vying for office with the support of godfathers, that should be a red flag for us . But I’m my country we sing praises of the Godfathers

See ehn our government has failed us over and over again. Bad leadership breeds terrible followership

Let’s assume no one even pays tax, companies can never evade tax and I’m certain that 30% of their annual income is no beans. With the revenue generated so far from CIT can we say we’ve seen how it has been put to judicious use?

It’s just like the electricity bills too, the charges are getting crazier despite the epileptic power supply. Of course it’s painful to pay

I can imagine how exploitative they will be to the traders but on the average Nigerians dont like to pay tax. Most Nigerians don't pay tax.

no one likes to part away with their income but I believe if I’m getting value for my money parting with it wouldn’t be so difficult

Why should I pay tax when I still pay thousands to fuel my generator on a monthly basis, or pay for electricity that I didn’t use.
Why should I be tax compliant when I still have to pay heavily to give my children good education
Why should I pay when I have to visit private hospitals because the public ones couldn’t just serve me
Why should I pay when I can’t take my car out with peace of mind that I will drive on good road.
The “whys” are endless

The answer to this emphasizes the fact that we all have fall short to some extent.

we feel short because we have a failed system that couldn’t track everyone. This is never the fault of the people, plus people will be willing to pay if they see how much the government has done for them .

even the market traders pay one form of tax or the other, the only problem with that is that most of the funds are not accounted for. But trust me they kill those people

Are we really tax payers ?

true that considerable number of Nigerians have a way to evade tax but as a white collar job holders you have no choice except you don’t work for a registered company. So yes, people pay tax and even tax authorities have been pressing Nigerians in recent years.
Compare tax revenues in recent years you will see

Educating our people because you don't need money to build roads. You need knowledge. Let me explain. What do l need to build a road. Sand - If you have the knowledge of getting it, you get it. You only buy what you can't do. So you really need to educate your people with the raw skill that can grow your country. When you pay a Chinese man to build your train system, you are actually paying for his knowledge and integrity.

I agree absolutely, we are backward in our educational system and if we don’t do something about it soon we will never be able to measure up with the world

The even more shocking part is that they mostly do not deliver on those promises or when they do, it could sub-standard .
We need more humane leaders

A tax payer has every right to use good roads, power supply,modern health care facilities, schools and other infrastructures. We shouldn’t be struggling for those things in this day and time

There’s need for total overhauling. People vying for public office need to stop using provision of good roads, health facilities in their manifesto. By now those things should be automatic and in place
