maybe if you did your research well, you would know that goInee service centers are all over Nigeria. You done hear much from them because the place is hardly rowdy. I mean that phones are too durable, hence you can hardly find complaints. Lastly, Gionee phones are not only known in Nigeria, they are known all over the world. like seriously? the c8 has nothing good about it. substandard battery, they said it is 3000mah but it does like it is 200mah, useless multitasking and even the camera they are even promoting is not even that good. that phone is as useless as they come. curse the day I spent 25 500 on one.

it was the c8 that made me hate the tecno brand too. I remember them doing a comparison btween it and iPhone 6 (camerawise). They took photos, i was so happy that finally i would get a budget phone with a good camera. Boy. I almost cried after i unboxed the phone

The xperia z1 has like 1GB RAM and is around 70k as well. If you compare the specs, the phantom is more affordable

mama rose. I read it over and over again. The chip set of both phones are the same. Thr same camera mega pixel, the PPI of the tecno phone is higher than the gionee but thats only on paper because amoled screens are way better than LCD, hence I can say the screen of the gionee is brighter and creat deep blacks better than the phantom. Also the ram is smaller than the phantom but the phone still handles applications well and its better optimized. Even thr battery of the gionee is Higher than that of the phantom And the gionee is basically half of the Price of the phantom. So tell Won't you choose the gionee?

yes, i use them. Especially the smart stay. Sometimes, i am reading an ebook and i set my screen to 30 seconds dim, and it takes me say a 45seconds to a Minute to finish the page, my phone automatically detects my eyes and keeps the phone on, so sir/ma. This is not a gimmick. Its useful

I wanted to buy Infinix hotnote pro last week saturday at computer village and i couldn't get it and i noticed the price of phones had gone up. When i checked out this Gionee S-plus, i honestly fell in love with the phone. This is the phone i want, i just want to wait a little to see if the price of phones would stabilize..

lol. Gionee is selling battery tk people, well atleast they are still selling something. What is tecno selling? Empty plastic. Good thing iS at can do research on it and find worldwide reviews, but tecno, the Best one can get are those from nigerian bloggers which are mostly paid to hype the products

well, i use Smart stay on my gionee and Samsung. It's not a gimmick. Sometimes yoh are reading something and one other thing is Distracting you, and you want to keep the screen on,this Is where the smart stay comes to play. And it Works well on both phones

Nice review. Been waiting for this, honestly i agree with virtually all what the op said but that camera on the phone is too notch Abeg, i still maintain it takes better dim pictures that my Note 4

notification light yes, batterry usage is okay, really depends on how you use it, i have not charged it from 0 percent sha cos i never allow my phone reach that point but most times from 20% sha say1hr30mins to 2hrs. depends if my wifi and 3G is on at the same time. the camera is really awesome too. the screen to is crisp, i just dont likethe launcher that came with the phone cos it has no menu but i downloaded nova launcher and that was fixed. even the m5 they are saying is a gionee product na. this phone is a good buy sha

even the gionee m5 that is half the price if this tecno is way better. Take out the finger print of the phantom 5 and all u have is an empty air space.

please, the fact that its 13mp does not mean ita great, i have handled that phone and the front camera looks like what is out on 10k phones and below. That camera is poo and the design, very ugly looking. The phone looks like a skateboard

turn off the phone. Press the volume key down, continue to press, then press thr power button while still presing the volume down key, let go of the power key when you see a menu. Then you can rElease your hand from the volume key when you see The menu, then you navigate to factory reset
