like i said, tecno started woth3 the affordable android phones in Nigeria, hence it has become a household name, but they are relaxed now, how can the only distinct feature on their flagship device be a fingerprint sensor? Something which one would use only for a few days and give it up, they now overpriced it again. Haba. E no dey work like that. Infinix and gionee catching up well, tecno better sit up if they still want to be in the game

how much did gionee pay you? how would a useless battery (gionee) have a better camera than the note 4 ?? ...Tecnos giving us the value for our money ... i actually believe the camon c8 has one of the best 13mp cameras you can find on a Chinese brand..... the truth is... gionee sells battery life and quality not good software's and specs.... tecno sells quality,their software looks whack i agree,good cameras(presently) and specs worthy of its price.

no need to give you an epistle, you lost me at tecno giving you value for money. Bye!

if you are looking for qwerty and torch phone go and buy a bold 5. It's still very much available in the market, lets heear word. How won't you make mistakes, when you use a tecno

i really do agree with this and i feel, it stems from the fact that tecnno was here way before gionne, hence they still have majority of the Android share in naija but trust me other brands are fast catching up and once xiaomi hits nigeria,then its bye bye to tecno and now the real competition would start between the top android brands in Nigeria. I so cant wait

same here, i must say, i have been so impressed so far

Well for me, its definitely gionee. I am an Android lover and i like to experiment with brands. I started off with the tecno f7, few months in i had charging problems, I would plug in the phone, it would show its charging but it won't move. I went to their office, they told me they would fix it, two weeks later nothing, their excuse is non availability of parts, i had to take my phone to computer village, they stikk did not have a solution to it. They said it was peculiar to that phone. Had to resort to desktop. Then my second tecno, phantom a3 lovely front camera, well only during the day though. Few months in, i started getting the Storage running out ish, i deleted all my apps, still nothing. The camera cover at the back was so badly scratched that i could not take good snapshots at the back. Then i decided ti try the last option, the camcon c8. I actually bought the phone because of the camera contest between it and iPhone 6, the Review was given on this site, i must say kudos to that person cos he surely got gullible people to buy it, including me . Sigh. The camera was an eye sore. Once the lightening in the room is a lik bit dim, forget it, you can never get a good snapshot. I had to give out the phone. I bought a galaxy note 4 And later bought a gionee s plus. I must say, i use the gionee more. The camera quality far beats the note 4, is dual sim, it has this very sleek Design. The screen too, very crisp, Surprisingly it's takes better night Photos than the Note. I am still new to gionee sha, and still handling the phone with care, so far so good no problems yet. I hope it stays that way. So gionee for me, at least i can go to gsmarena and read user reviews before i get, but techno one only gets reviews from local blogs which normally is usually biased

it dosent have a menu. all apps stay on your home screen unless you install another launcher

is easy just download Nova launcher from Playstore and Install. You would get the menu

Got the s plus too and the device keeps my friends stuned cos it gives all the other brands a run for their money and it doesn't break my bank account

crisp screen, Superb camera, good battery life All for 39k. It's truly worth it

I became a Tecno hater cos of C8 because of the software... Even as at now after send about 5 updates they never solve the issues...
The phone is just a camera phone.... we need to take destiny in our hands by rooting to solve some issues ourselves..

Majorly i root phone cos of font and system management

But P5W have all this... So tecno phones cannot convince me again....
Gionee is more durable... Truth...
Everyone have their choices.. If tecno give what you want go for it... If na other products its you money.....

well, first of i am sure you are using an andriod phone to send this. secondly, gine are the days when iphones were the ish. andriod phone have already caught up and left ios in the past. then yes, i am sure gionee would prolly release a new phone because they want people to have varieties on what to choose from and i dont think thats a bad thing. make several phones and have people choose from it

It does not get hot

it gets warm atimes while charging. well, in guess its becuase i use 3G and wifi simultenously and i aways have apps running.

i never claimed an hour, i said 2hours and the battery was not fully depleted and i expained the battery, so dont make it sound like i am making stuff up

S plus doesn't have fast charge and it not even normal charge.. I will call it slow charge because a device without fast charge will charge a 3000mah battery with a 2A charger in 1 hour 30mins using "Q=it "relation. but my S plus charges from 0-100% in 3hrs+ with a 2A charger to that's too slow.. however I so much love this device even if it takes 10hrs to reach full battery I would still buy it again and again... superb device.

Hard truth is that what Tecno and their carlcare, service centre at their head office Opebi Lagos offers leaves much to be desired. Imagine that it was impossible to "fix" my Tecno phone under their "waranty" without going back repeatedly with that same issue being unresolved or a new fault developing and they expect one to take them seriously and not switch? This was similar to what many have experienced with them, and common among what they will tell you sometimes at carlcare is that they do not have parts for you to wait endlessly, sometimes months without solutions.

exactly this, its very annoying. They never have the parts. One would spend his hard earned money to buy a device, it would get faulty and all i would be hearing is we don't have the parts

Gionee is sweet no be lie. I've been using the s plus for some days now. This M5 and S+ are practically the same thing. The only thing is that M5 is thicker, heavier and all these is due to the large battery!


I wanted to buy Innjoo 2. But their delays made me discover the S+ and I bought it!


I will advice any one interested to hear, get gionee s+
