temmytanny: Since you dint have the original Birth certificate, you should have gone for the NPC birht certificate and it wont cost you more than 5k. If time is running out,pls go for NPC birth certificate
Thanks @temmytanny, the guy told me he's been arranging such for immigrant visa applicants until I decided to check this forum today for further information. Anyway I appreciate your prompt response, God bless you bro. one more thing I live and work in PH now but born and grew up in Lagos, wondering if I could go to NPC in PH or proceed to Lagos? My first school SSCE was in 1993 but nov/dec 1998 and 1999 were combined to secure my admission back then. Any issue on that?

Pls I need to know if I would need to void what I have now and go for the NPCs.
Thanks
EventsRe: How Much Do I Need For A Regular Wedding by mogzy(m): 10:10am On Oct 14, 2010
We must change our orientation as Africans. Today, we celebrates double wedding ceremonies due to our colonial experience. The engagement i.e. the traditional wedding is original to Africa. However, the church or registry was borrowed from Europeans. Spending on double-wedding is a waste. U can register your marriage with little or no cost at the registry and go to church for marriage blessing without crowds, and later do the main thing "African traditional wedding". BEST OF LUCK. Afrcanist.

@Africanist's Best of the responses so far, duplications of ceremonies totally uncalled for, introduction and registry rituals should be as silent as not to have any form of bogus budget. Then the 'engagement' (so called traditional wedding) dated back to biblical Jewish tradition could be incorporated into the reception for just one hour as practiced today by the modern day Jews, The reception could be as moderate as your money can afford having provided the basic facilities like the hall, sound system, chairs and tables food and drinks. Then meeting the demands of the bride's family which comes first by deploying all the negotiators at your disposal to negotiate on your behalf the demands to an affordable value. Marriage blessings ought to be done at the reception but we call that white wedding now, so it's your choice, because's of the cost of suit, gown and othere accessories,
Well as it has been said people spend lot of resources and time (months) to plan for the wedding lasting for a day and do not plan for the marriage meant to last throughout your remaining lifetime,
wish you well,

CelebritiesRe: Who Is The Most Down To Earth Actress/actors In Nollywood: by mogzy(m): 6:02am On Jun 23, 2009
T@meD0:

it's true the only way you can tell if someone (regardless if they're a celebrity or not) is down-to-earth is to have met and spent reasonable amount of time with that person.

having said that, i would have to say Joke Silva is the most down-to-earth nigerian actress (and a darn good one too) i know.

why do i say that? not only have i met her, i've lived with her (well, not in the same room but same complex). she's a very sincere and caring person.

lwkmd! brosi u mean o. . . grin
dont really mean to be that harsh, we 've got quite some seasoned movie professionals(artiste/producers/directors) in the past whom had been pushed aside by mediocres that infested the industry in the last 20 years and later coined the name nollywood as a result of thier shallow orientation. nollywood is bullshit.
CelebritiesRe: Who Is The Most Down To Earth Actress/actors In Nollywood: by mogzy(m): 9:52pm On Jun 22, 2009
dont care who's down to earth among those bunch of untalenteds, but i dont look 4 an escape route when i get trapped in a room with a screen on and Kenneth Okonkwo or Zack Orji is starring in the damned so called nollywood movies.
FamilyRe: Is It Proper For A Woman To Build Her Own House? by mogzy(m): 11:42am On May 19, 2009

You have to be smart about it, you know you are dealing with a wife beater.
make him understand that you are doing if for investment purpose.
i pray god help you.

FoodRe: Cowbell Or Peak Milk? by mogzy(m): 9:35am On May 19, 2009
osholey:
You are not doing justice to cowbell by comparing it to Peak because there are not in there same category. Peak is a full cream Milk and animal fat, Cowbell is not, it is vegetable fat . Dieticians say vegetable fat milk is better than animal fat.

Promasidor (cowbell Makers) positioned Loya Milk as their Full Cream alternative to Peak. So comparison should be between PEAK and LOYA not Cowbell.

Cowbell is a low fat nutritious milk and it is in a class of its own. It is targeted at mass market, giving our people healthy milk at affordable prices.

Whatever name you want to call it, the fact is that Cowbell is used in the production of NESTLE MILLO. So we all take more cowbell than we choose to admit.
best thread so far, it seems people are more interested in the taste only and not safe and quality diet. the fact is that it's nutritionally safe to take cowbell than peak milk.

why do yoruba people talk alot about gani fawehini; continuous talking no action; abeg make i hear word

wole soyinka, my ass chinue achibe command more audience than him, atleast his name keeps the flag flying

as for the looters like aliko and adenuga, yes cuz they invested their money in nigeria period, unlike sagamite's uncle that squander our money in swizz a/c
There are bunch of empty- headed tribalistic individuals whose posts should be made to go through some filtering media on nairaland.
Chinua Achebe is no legend in that sense', and he doesnt command such respect as Wole Soyinka(Nobel Laurete). Kanu is simply patroitic and as for the foundation we 've got many Nigerians doing much more and are not in the news. The Olajuwons, Emegwalis 've no business being on that list.

My List
Pa Anthony Enahoro (the last of the indepedence fighters)
Gani Fawehinmi(The most consistent, de-tribalised die-hard human right activist and a philantophist)
Wole Soyinka(the only Nigerian Nobel Laurete and a consistent human right activist)
Dangote(a rugged manufacturer in a terribleand unfriendly nigerian terrain, 'Forget Govt interest')
TV/MoviesRe: Your Best Nollywood Film by mogzy(m): 4:53pm On Apr 16, 2009
Nollywood films? huh cant afford that luxury of time being invested in watching some bunch of untalented so caalled actors with fake accent/dictions, poor directing and production with stupid story lines that is if not a poorly "me-rixed" American film often characterizes the so called Nollywood. Few good Nigerian films are mostly from Mainframe Production.
