We pray to Jesus because he's the mediator between God and Men and he's a high priest. If you understand the Old Testament the high priests is a mediator between God & Men

1 Timothy 2:5 (KJV) For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

But unlike the priesthood of the old Testament his priesthood has no end Hebrews 7:25 (KJV) Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them..


Now concerning that Jesus and God are different people is wrong because Jesus is the full expression of the Godhead and they agree as 1
1 John 5:7 (KJV) For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.


Likewise the Word ( that was before he was born by Mary to become the son of God) existed before time and is the creator,


Colossians 1:16-18 (KJV) For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.


We pray to Jesus because he lives to make intercession for us men as a high priest of an endless life

Hebrews 7:24-25 (KJV) But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.
Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

Jesus is the Son of God while he was on earth because he wasn't conceived by natural conception.


Luke 1:35 (KJV) And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

Isaiah 7:14 (KJV) Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel

The birth of Jesus wasn't natural and that was why he could die for the sins of the whole world by being a Lamb without spot or blemish

1 Peter 1:19-20 (KJV) But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,.
