The Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Ebonyi State council, has kicked against the arrest of its chairman, Tony Nwizi, by armed gunmen who disguised in police uniform.

Tony Nwizi was reportedly arrested by armed men in his residence on Saturday morning, July 4, 2020 The union members criticized the arrest tagging it an unwarranted case of abduction.

The union in a statement signed by the Vice-Chairman, Comrade Benjamin Nworie, demanded the release of its chairman.

One bank customer was killed after armed robbers  attacked a new generation bank in Yenagoa, Bayelsa state capital.

According to the report, the deceased who came for a transactional purpose at the bank was leaving the bank when the incident happened.

Source said, he had boarded a tricycle but was forced to dash into the bush after he saw some gun men shooting sparodically.

The middle aged man was leaving the bank with a bag suspected to contain money, when the masked gunmen alighted from a car and started shooting sporadically.

Human Rights Activist, Segun Awosanya popularly called SegaLink, confirms Miss Seyitan detention by the police.

In an earlier report, SegaLink had posted a tweet alleging that the police did not arrest Seyitan.

Giving an update on the situation, SegaLink confirmed Miss Seyitan detention, stating that after receiving a conscionable courtesy call from @seyitannn_ ‘s mum, sister @tosinbunmi12 with @seyitannn_ in the loop he confirmed that the lady did not lie.

Fuji star, Abass Akande, AKA Obesere, has explained why he christened his son Grandson Goodnews.

It was learned that the Fuji artiste had welcomed his grandchild last week, making him the latest grandfather in the entertainment industry.

Obesere in an interview with Saturday Beats, said, considering that he was getting old at the point when his daughter gave birth is good news.

The Abuja State Police have arrested two Chinese couple for allegedly locking up eight Nigerian domestic staff in their apartment for four months.

The couple was arrested after residents reported the case to police at Utako Divisional Police Station.

On getting the information, the Utako police command deployed it’s men to the crime scene on Tuesday and found that the couple locked up their eight domestic staff.

Amid the fight for black immunity, a body cam camera of another Miami officer has captioned a moment when a white Miami police officer punched a black woman on the face.

The incident happened on Wednesday July 1 at Miami International Airport.

Meanwhile, the officer who is identified as Antonio Rodriguez, has been suspended.

According to the video obtained by the Miami Herald, the black woman was heard telling the officer that he is black.

The Enugu State COVID-19 toll hits 327 as the state records 66 new cases of COVID-19 The state’s Commissioner for Health, Prof. Ikechukwu Obi, made the announcement in a statement on Thursday in Enugu.

Obi said that the new cases we’re among the 790 cases recorded by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on July 1, 2020.

Ex BBNaija housemate Khafi Kareem, her mother and brothers have appealed to the members of the public with information linking to the death of their youngest brother Alexander to come forward and report to the police.

This appeal was made on BBC National TV with Khafi and her family begging for the killers to report themselves while those with linking information as well should come forward.

According to the report, the 20-year-old Alexander was shot dead on June 8, 2020, just after midnight on Askew Road in Shepherd’s Bush.

A Nigerian man identified as Desmond Ehimuah, has reportedly beaten his 8 months pregnant wife, Tito Oluwatoyin Ehimuah, into coma at their apartment located in Magodo Phase 2, area of Lagos State.

It was gathered that prior to the incident, Toyin had left the house due to constant beatings from her husband,Desmond only to return on Tuesday morning, June 30, 2020 to another round of beaten that eventually resulted to coma.
