The media aide to Kano state Governor, Salihu Tanko Yakasai, has accused President Muhammadu Buhari led administration of lacking Empathy following the outcries of Nigerian youths against police brutality.

He made this statement reacting to the presidency’s inability to respond to the national outburst by putting an end to the operations of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS).

Aminu Hayatu Tafida, aka Jaffa, the son of a Special Adviser to Governor Aminu Tambuwal, has been remanded in prison for allegedly raping a minor.

A Twitter user identified as Akinbosola has narrated how a SARS operative in Lagos state gave him his number to keep in touch after wrongly arresting him and extorting 50k him.

According to Akinbosola’s tweet, he was intercepted at Yaba area of Lagos state by some Sars officer for dressing fine,having an iPhone and cash on him.

He said the officers took him to their office at surulere area of Lagos where they eventually extorted the sum of 50k from him after claiming he was a Yahoo Boy.

According to the videos making rounds on the internet, gunshots were heard as boys in large numbers storm the streets.

A day old baby who was abandoned inside a gutter at Abuja Estates, Awka, Anambra state by the mother has been rescued by a resident of the area.

The incident took place at Abuja Estates behind NSCDC office in Awka, Anambra state  in the early hours of today Saturday, October 3.

According to the spokesperson of the state police command, Haruna Mohammed, a resident of the area alerted men of the B Division Police Station Awka when the baby was found.

He said all efforts made to trace the mother of the baby proved abortive. Haruna said the baby who is in a good health condition, was rescued and handed over to “Time to fort Care specialist medical centre Awka” for safekeeping.

A Nigerian lady identified as Pearlon twitter has revealed how she lost her boyfriend to her friend, Anita after setting them up.

According to the angered Pearl, she set both her friend and her lover up so she could know how much he loved her.

A 50-year-old woman identified as Maureen escaped death, suffers serious injuries after being brutalized by her brother over their late father’s property in Enugu.

A Human rights group, Women’s Aid Collective WACOL, shared the story online. WACOL said the victim’s  late father left some property in her custody and made her promise to take care of the property and not transfer ownership to Mr Francis Egbujie.

Problem started after the death of their father, the victim’s brother started pestering the Lady over the property and demanded that she hand it over to him.

The group wrote, ”BROTHER ATTEMPTS TO KILL ELDER SISTER OVER FAMILY PROPERTY!!! On the 30th day of September 2020, WACOL legal clinic received a complaint from a 59 years old woman Mrs M, that her brother Mr Francis Egbujie from Ifu Ezike Udi, attempted to kill her by beating her with a stick and breaking her head over a family property.

She is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed medical facility. She noted that together with her younger sisters they immediately made a report to the Trans Ekulu police station but rather than arrest the perpetrator Mr Francis Egbujie, the police detained her sisters and even threatened to arrest her.

She told WACOL that the property in question was handed over to her by their late father, who made her promise to take care of the property and not transfer ownership to Mr Francis Egbujie. She also told WACOL that it is the proceed from the property that she uses to take care of their late elder brother’s children.

Mrs M wants WACOL to assist her in getting justice and ensure that Mr Francis Egbujie faces the full wrath of the law for his devious acts against her.

WACOL has sent a petition to the Honourable Commissioner of Police, Enugu state requesting for a transfer of the case from the Trans Ekulu police station to the state CID for proper investigation. WACOL will also provide palliative and support her treatment

Several persons injured, and vehicles damages as supporters of the of the All Progressives Congress(APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidates again clashed at Ipele and Owo towns in Ondo state.

Both parties have confirmed the clash, with each accusing the other of masterminding the attacks.

A statement by Kayode Fasua, the spokesman for the Eyitayo Jegede campaign, said the convoy of the PDP candidate, Eyitayo Jegede, was attacked in Ipele and Owo township in Owo Local Government “by heavily armed APC political thugs.”

He said a PDP member, Amuda Sikiru, was shot in the face and abdomen during the party’s campaign rally in Owo town by the APC thugs.

Mr Fasua also said the victim was rushed to the state’s specialist hospital in Akure. According to him, two other PDP supporters, Taye Akintufede and Seun Ogunlade, were also shot.

Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) have suspended its proposed strike after reaching an agreement with FG, Ekohotblog.com reports.

The Federal Government reached an agreement with Labour unions in Nigeria at exactly 2:53 am on Monday, September 28, over a nationwide strike by the NLC.

The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo (SAN) disclosed this via the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Monday morning.

The minister also said that the electricity tariffs has been suspended by government for 2 weeks with a joint Committee headed by himself to examine the justification for the new policy.

A Delta State governorship aspirant and former Education minister, Kenneth Gbagi, has arrested and charged four of his staff working in his hotel, Signatious Hotel, to court for allegedly stealing N5,000.

Ekohotblog confirmed that the incident happened on Friday in Delta state.

Information reaching our reporter from a reliable source says that Gbagi, before arresting the four workers; (three girls and one boy), had them stripped and photographed in police’s presence.

Ex-Governor, Fayose’s Loses Sister It was a black Monday for the Family of former Ekiti state governor, Peter Ayodele Fayose, following the death of his elder sister.

The deceased, Mrs Mojisola Ladeji, died on Monday after a brief undisclosed illness. The ex-Governor, who broke the news on his social media page on Twitter said the family was pained by her demise. The decomposing body of 9-year-old Boipelo Sesele was found stuffed in the wardrobe of a neighbour who helped search for her, after she went missing at Kroonstad, Gelukkwaarts in Free State, South Africa, IOL reported on Sunday, September 20.

The Grade 4 pupil was last seen while playing with her friends in the street not far from her home on September 1, at about 1.am.

According to her 6-year-old friend who she was playing with at the time of her disappearance, Boipelo had been lured by a man to “look for change at the shops”.

Her disappearance prompted a huge search mission which lasted for twelve days. Police spokesman Brigadier Sam Makhele, said members of the community who had been assisting the police with the search went to investigate a bad smell coming from a shack near Boipelo’s home on Saturday, September 12, after local children had raised an alarm He said the kids had complained of the “bad smell from a shack not far from Biopelo’s home.

They went to the shack and found it locked, forced entry and opened the wardrobe where the smell was coming from and found the body of Boipelo, then alerted the police,” he said.

Neighbours attacked the owner of the shack when he arrived at the scene, according to him. He added that police officers who had attempted to step in were also attacked.

A soldier fighting Boko Haram insurgents in the north-east has reportedly killed himself. Information reaching us at Ekohotblog confirms that the said soldier was a  lance corporal attached to the army’s 27 task force brigade in Buni Gari, Gujba local government area of Yobe state.

Kannywood actor, Ali Nuhu, has signed a new football deal as an influencer of the Spanish league brand, La Liga, Ekohotblog reports.

It was gathered that the duo met at a friend’s house party at 8811 Gustine Lane, to watch a basketball match on Monday, September 7,2020 when the incident happened.

According to a reliable source, the deceased owed the suspect $40 (N15k) and had been trying to pay via an online banking platform but the money kept reversing into his account. .
