Nigerian youths have lambasted the Nigeria Government following an ex-parte suit to freeze the bank accounts of 20 EndSARS promoters.

Gunmen kidnapped 11 teachers from a primary school in Cameroon’s restive Anglophone region, the head of the Presbyterian Church said.

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have apprehended two travelers at Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos State for allegedly importing 16.65 kilograms of cocaine worth billions of naira into the country.

The suspects; Okwubunne Chidiebere Simeon and Aniakar Uchenna James, were arrested on Wednesday, October 28, 2020, on arrival from Sao Paulo, Brazil, with 10.40 kgs and 6.25 kgs of cocaine respectively.

The items were concealed in eight children’s duvets which contained seven absorbent towels.

Nigeria Records 162 New Confirmed Cases The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced the report via it’s daily update on COVID-19.

This brings the total cases in Nigeria to 62853 while 58675 cases have been discharged, 1144 deaths have been recorded in 36 states.

The chairman of Samsung, Lee Kun-hee, dies at age 78 after suffering for so many years from a heart attack.

Kun-Lee died on Sunday morning, October 25, 2020, the company confirmed.

He had been comatose since suffering a heart attack in 2014 and died in Seoul, South Korean capital in the presence of his family.

Hoodlums burn down Nnamdi Azikiwe’s statue in Onitsha, Anambra State The Hoodlums accused Nnamdi Azikiwe of being responsible for the problem of Nigeria.

Nnamdi Benjamin Azikiwe, referred to as “Zik”, was a Nigerian statesman and political leader who served as the first President of Nigeria from 1963 to 1966.

A mob in Onitsha, Anambra state reportedly set the statue of the former President of Nigeria, the late Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe ablaze.

Governor Bello Matawalle has stated that the recently disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) is highly needed in Zamfara state to secure lives and properties.

Angry protesters chased popular Fuji musician, Wasiu Alabi Odetola, fondly addressed as Pasuma Wonder out of protest venue in Alausa, Ikeja-Lagos.

Kaduna State Government has appointed a judicial panel of inquiry into acts of police brutality in the state, following the resolution of the National Economic Council (NEC).

It will be recalled that the NEC mandated state governors to constitute panels of inquiry  and other steps to ensure accountability in the operations of police units in their states.

A statement from Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, signed by Special Adviser on Media and Communication,  Mr Muyiwa Adekeye on Friday, disclosed that the Judicial Commission of Inquiry would be inaugurated on Monday, 19th October 2020.

According to the statement, retired Justice David Shiri Wyom is the Chairman of the seven-member panel and  AIG Lawal Tanko (rtd) is a member,  Rebecca Sako-John and Mustapha Jumare  represent the  civil Society.
