TemiD91:Good afternoon, I've been off Nairaland for a while. I can't say the exact one that worked but over the course of 2020 to 2022 January when I discovered I was pregnant. I have done the following: 1. I went to a good lab to do ultrasound scan, HVS, HSG, urinalysis. I don't know if the HSG was necessary but the technician said there was a small blockage in one fallopian tube and the HSG opened it. 2. I met a nurse in a hospital that treated me, after the annoying shabby treatment in the hospital she worked, she told me to do another HVS test, the test showed the injections to use, then they were these expensive Switzerland ceftriaxone(forgotten the popular brand name) antibiotics injections, she mixed with some normal injections on the test results, she gave me antibiotics drugs too. We did that for 1 week of injections straight. We rest for one or two weeks, but was still using the drugs, no sexual contact to prevent reinfection. After the rest, we started the treatment all over again for another one week, I think after resting, we did another one a month later. 3. I rested for like a month, did combo (garlic, ginger, alligator pepper, etc, soak it with ijaw dry gin), soaked for like two weeks and started taking a shot morning and night. My body could not cope again but I already saw that all the injections and local treatment has worked but I want them to work above 100%. I did combo for partner then too but didn't add booni to his own combo cos fertile corner said it's not good for men. I did another local treatment, I've forgotten but if you check my name, I documented everything on this page. 4. I usually take fruits to work and still buy when going home. 5. Few weeks to wedding, we went for another treatment and my hubby was treated with injections too. 6. We waited till wedding day before sex cos of the treatment. Saw period like a week after wedding, then 1 month after wedding too, but by the time time wedding clocked two months I didn't see my period. On confirming I saw that I was pregnant. After giving birth, immediately my period came in the fifth month, i realized I was pregnant in the 6th month. I now have two babies and on family planning. I will suggest you treat the infection or whatever it is from the root. Give yourself 6 months to fully deal with it. If you don't have infection, your body will tell you, there's no infection, but if you have it will keep disturbing. |

B.S B.S Birth Story I thank God for safe delivery firstly cos that's the ultimate of this story. I was told by doctor that my EDD is 18th December, scan center outside said 17th December, early scans has been showing early January. Doctor said if there's no show then I'll be induced by 25th of December. By 18th December, no show till 25th December. I didn't argue with the hospital because my period skipped for two months before I discovered I was pregnant, at the time I was still breastfeeding my first baby. As at the time I saw my first period after delivery, my baby was around 5 months. I didn't see the period when first baby was 6 months, all tests showed negative pregnancy test. I didn't see my period when baby was 7 months too, when I checked with pregnancy test strip, it then showed positive. I was then confused when I actually got pregnant. Scan was giving different dates too. In order not to take risks, I quickly accepted the induction advised by the hospital. The induction and epidural for pain was administered on the evening of 25th December, by evening of 26th December, the labour did not progressed past 7cm. Doctor said we should opt for CS cos baby's heartbeat was on the increase and I was in so much pain too. My mum and husband encouraged me to allow the CS, I told them I'm not afraid of the money it will cost or any other thing. We all encouraged ourselves. I went into the theater by 9pm of 26th December, after all the preparation, the surgery started around 9:30pm, due to the epidural I've used before and I was feeling pain after administering spinal block. The doctor just told the nurse to give me sedation injection. On receiving the injection, I just slept off. I later saw the nurse showing me my baby from a distance and cleaning up for her. When I woke up again, I was back in my private ward and it was almost morning. I later asked my family when the baby was brought out they said it took less than 30 minutes, just that they have to keep me and baby in recovery room. A nurse I asked for the time it took a patient earlier and she said they started the CS around 7 and they're done by past 8 that same night, so that encouraged me it won't be long. I am so glad it all turned out well. Thank God for safe delivery. mommafertile: |

#TeamOctober2022 mama is here again with baby number 2. I thank God for counting me worthy. Baby number 1 is 7 months now and acting like she's truly ready to have a younger one. I saw my first menstrual period two months ago, 1 month skipped test with PT negative and no period, second one now no period, that's when I tested with blood sample and got positive(anyone with such experience)? Though I would have loved to be preggy maybe later in the year or next year but God's will be done. I'm grateful, happy, hubby is happy too. Once scan is done I'll know my team. May we all deliver safely and God answer those praying for miracle baby too. Kindly welcome me again. mommafertile: |
LATE BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT Glory to God for safe delivery of my miracle baby girl on the 3rd of October 2022. This is where I got most of the teachings, medication and alternative medicines that resulted in the positive pregnancy test. Thanks so much for the support. I'll do my best to contribute positively to the growth of this thread. Baby is above 2 months today. mommafertile: |
Tgirltemmy:From Ota, Ace Medicare is okay, it's opposite Winners, you can also try Covenant University Health Center inside Winners. From Atan side, Oluwalogbon Hospital and Ariset Hospital are also okay, that's before Atan bus stop. |
Thank you so much ma'am. I didn't know I still have much healing to do. Thought everything is fine since I no longer feel the pain again. Grateful for the advice. novia22: |

B.S! B.S!! B.S!!! I give thanks to God for preservation of my life and that of my baby. At around 39 weeks, I was frequenting the toilet to urinate almost every 5 minutes. It was so stressful. By then I was already tired of being pregnant and can't wait to have my baby. I was tired of going for antenatals too, the doctor tested me and said the OS abi na cervix is still closed. We met with the MD of the hospital to ask about epidural analgesia, which we added as part of the labour pain reducing options, they also said it is best injected when labour has reached around 6cm or so. I was gearing for 6cm so we can request for it at the hospital, so it was devastating hearing OS is closed, not even at 2cm. I was doing this labour inducing exercise that I saw on YouTube. I did the exercise for two days, on the 5th day which was a Friday I saw the mucus plug came out, I have been having contractions like mild menstrual cramps, I decided to continue the labour inducing exercise. On Saturday, another mucus plug came out with droplets of blood. I went to my sister's place with my tired body as a way to exercise. The contraction increased Saturday night/Sunday morning, so was unable to go to church on Sunday morning. My husband and I went to the hospital and met the same doctor that's been handling my file since, he checked again and said OS is still closed, the doctor said I should back home, the nurse said it's because I'm a first timer that's the reason I'm acting drama, in anger I told her I'm not acting drama that I know how I'm feeling, she later apologized. The doctor said nothing to be done, that even if I'm to be induced it will be week 41. I was so weak and could not argue anymore, so we went back home same morning. On getting home, the cramps reduced, I was relieved. Later that Sunday evening, the cramps resumed and became so unbearable. Since we just returned from hospital that morning, I didn't want to go again, I managed till Monday morning, the intensity of the contraction increased to like every 10 minutes. Around 2pm Monday afternoon when the contraction didn't stop or reduced, I made up my mind to go for induction at the hospital cos I was so frustrated. My family friend and I went to the hospital, while we told my husband to stay back cos we don't want neighbors suspecting I'm going to the hospital. We met the same doctor that kept saying OS is closed, he tested again, same closed OS, we told him to admit me at the hospital, he was reluctant to do so but later agreed after calling the MD. The MD said he would be around in the evening, I was in the room I got admitted into but was going through intense contraction, my family friend went home which is close by to get my hospital bag. My husband came some minutes later (all the efforts for landlady not to suspect I'm at the hospital proved abortive, you know Naija people and their shine shine eyes grin grin). Please bear with me, I'll complete the birth story soon, busy with baby and trying to recover, been a bit tired the past few days. Thank you for your understanding. Continuation I was taken back to the labour room by the nurses and administered enema cos I was complaining of using the toilet. After the nurse did the enema with Lux soap and warm water, I rushed upstairs to my room to use the toilet. I was a bit relieved. As my husband got to the hospital with some other supplies that he feels I might need, the contraction continued. I was pacing round the room and will shout a bit when the contraction starts, they will quickly come and help me massage my lower back. The nurses then moved me to another room at the first floor for easy management cos it's getting late in the evening. I could not eat or drink water. It was so intense. I was taken to the labour room again for tests this time by a new doctor and another set of nurses on night shift. They found out cervix is still closed, one of the nurses took permission to check and said she can feel the baby's head, all these tests were making me scream my lungs out. All there talks were flying out the window cos I didn't listen due to pain, I didn't even remember epidural sef. The MD came in check and said I'm truly in labour but the cervix is just closed, that it's a rare case. Which means the doctor I've been seeing since didn't know it can happen due to his lack of experience on the job. I was happy that at least, I was right on this one and not acting drama as the nurse said before. The doctor then said I should calm down and cooperate or they will have to do CS, I didn't even listen to his talk, I was just crying. He has gone to tell my husband and family friend that they may have to result to CS as I didn't cooperate and was stressing them. One of the nurses then call them to tell me to cooperate that since they can feel the baby's head, I can deliver vaginally, I just needed to endure a bit more. The MD with the aid of the doctor and nurses later used his gynecological tools to insert a transparent small ball with rubber rope in my cervix I think (I've checked online for confirmation, it's called Foley Bulb) I was taken back to the room, after the insertion and some injections. The contraction became more intense and was not stopping at all. The doctor said they will monitor the catheter for 3 hours but if it pulls out we should let them know. I've gone to urinate in toilet up to 30 times since I arrived at the hospital. I didn't even know anything or hear anyone again. I lied down the contraction will hold me, if I stand same thing, I was slapping the walls and crying. AC repairer came to the room, I didn't even look his side even though I was not well covered with the hospital gown. Each contraction I'll shout at husband and family friend to rub my back. They became tired but have no choice than to continue. Within two hours while trying to go to toilet again, the Foley Bulb pulled out. They quickly called the doctor, in the same process, the amniotic fluid rushed out. As we got to the labour room, the fluid rushed out again. By then I think the MD has gone home. The doctor and nurses prepped me up in the labour room cos it seems the cervix dilated to 10cm quickly within the two hours. I was told to hold my legs and push looking towards my belly button. I did like twice. They could see the baby's head but no space for the baby to pass, so I was given a tear (chai, the tear long reach my anus cry though I just noticed they cut it but didn't feel the pain) the nurse said I should give the push my all. I pushed for the 3rd time. I didn't even wait for them to call again, then I pushed for the 4th time and the baby just slide out that they have to quickly catch her. I just heard her crying in a very thick voice deeper than my own sef lolzzzzz. I just laid down well feeling relaxed. When they were to start suturing I quickly requested for injection that numb the pain, so I sha saw two syringes stuck close to my vagina and I didn't feel the pain during suturing. After they've dressed for baby and finish up with dressing me too, we went outside the labour room where my husband and family friend were waiting to receive us. My room was few rooms away so we strolled down with the nurses holding me. I just laid down looking at my baby in her cot. I delivered almost midnight but it was still that Monday night at 39 weeks 6 days. Who knows what would have happened if I went back home as they suggested in the morning. The MD came to greet me and baby the next day. The other nurses and the doctor I met earlier were speechless. The vagina is almost 100% healed now at two weeks postpartum. My mum stayed for almost two weeks, so I do sit on new potty filled with Savlon antiseptic and hot water, morning and night, she massages my body and joints area with hot water, she treats the vagina suture by massaging with hot water in towel, I drink warm water, I bath with warm water too. My tummy is almost flat. I thank God for life. So sorry it came late. I just decided to write it now this midnight. Thank you. mommafertile: |
Hi mama. I have not completed my birth story due to stress of handling Baby and my own need for sleep too but I need to chip a message in cos I saw your comment. A day before I delivered I ran to the hospital due to intense contraction, doctor dismissed my contraction as first time mother drama but I knew what I was going through, so I went back home due to closed cervix. The morning of the day I delivered the contraction increased, ran to the hospital cos I could not cope, the same doctor and nurse dismissed my contraction as first time mother drama cos cervix was still closed. I told them to call MD and admit me cos I could not cope again. MD came in the evening, he said my cervix was still close but I am truly in labour, the only person that believed me, he asked if I used local herbs that can cause contraction I said no. They did enema for me so I can use the toilet, he induced me with injections and one thing that looks like a small transparent ball with rubber rope attached to it. The ball was inserted inside my vagina and the ball pulled out within two hours of more intense contraction. It was from that moment I think the cervix moved to 10cm from 0cm. I delivered after like 4 pushes. So I gave birth on 39 weeks 6 days. Pweetiebabe: |

StarryV:Make Una no vex oooo. I'm back again. Like I said I changed to a work from home job but it's almost like a 24/7 thing still stressful, though they have given me 3 months leave already but I don't want to take the leave till after delivery or maybe 38 weeks. I just got to week 36 today. Please bear with me. I'm not even sure of gender yet. Scan is showing girl like twice, other times they're not sure. Hmmm, I was so busy with work I could not keep up with asking the group for baby list. 200k exhausted and there are things yet to be bought like diapers and baby formula cos I want to ensure I take the formula to hospital. Since Sunday I've not gotten myself, thank God for my boss and wonderful colleagues that took over my work, I only work around 7-10pm since last week. The baby move the head to the right side of my pelvis and like right elbow to the same area. It was so painful I could not sleep and was crying on Sunday. I went to hospital on Monday, |
