So in my 37 yrs of being alive i have passed through some real difficulties . I have hit road bumps and sometimes i have felt this is road closed . ( i discovered this last week when the lump in ny breast was said to be malignant. TTC suddenly appeared very small)

You analysis over correct..its a mystery why some hospitala charge over 200k for iui..
Na so i mumu pay 50k for hormonal assy for 1 hospiatal..same hospital charges abt 250k for..procedure 150k.. drugs as from 80k...na so dem talk....

Yes i know the opk smileg or positive comes 24 to 48hrs before ovu..so i was wondering why i had the intense cramp n light bleeding a day b4 the opk even tested positive..meaning ovu is even yet to happen.
So y the pain n light bleeding?.

yes o b4 a doc would prescribe clomid for a man, the matter don strong..clomid is among the big guns in treating male hormonal imbalance issues

also lets create awareness for all males from puberty to adult, ie 8yrs n above. the infection mumps is terrible and causes irreversible sterility if contacted by a male. pls inform your loved ones if they dont know already

Please please please no man should self medicate on clomid. It can irreversibly mess with a man's hormones. Doctor Emeka mentioned this to me. Consult a urologist and let him guide you. In the meantime, I totally recommend Fertilsan M for sperm issues.

so i had very bad pain in my lower stomach yesterday night and early morning today - which my dh was suspecting to be ovulation as it was cd 15
then my digital opk gave me a positive/ smiley this morning. i even had some slight bleeding today.
so am really confused, i thought the opk would not still be positive while am ovulating, abi the pains i experienced wasnt related to ovulation?

For mama's in the east, I heard life hospital Nnewi is the best.The doc there is an experienced doc , heard he trained most successful gyns around. High success rate in his fertility treatment.

I just remembered he did ivf for a colleague abt a year back and she conceived, though she later lost the preggy around 6months.

A friend is currently undergoing iui there, she said they ran all the tests again including laparoscopy. The cost so far is under 200k.

She used letrozole and her eggs were so big, the time for the hubby to do the do, hubby had emergency and traveled. Still on the matter , she is doing iui this cycle.

My cycle is 29 days and ovulation is supposed to be on CD 16. I sneaked out from work on CD 15 afternoon , travelled to bd. Bd on CD 15 and CD 16 morning. Sneaked back to work and thank God there was no major issue that exposed I wasn't around.

I used vit b complex, folic acid and pregnarecare all through the cycle. Did letrozole from CD 5- 9. Also did evening primerose from CD 3 to 14. I bought ovulation test kids too. I didn't see DT ovulation line on CD 16 and this worries me. Today is CD 17 and there is no line yet. I saw a small line on CD 15 and was hoping it will be more pronounced on CD 16 but no way.

Plz for ppl DT have used this ovululation strip, do u still get a positive or negative result on CD 17? Am sure I tested well this morning - CD 17 cos a friend told me I shld hold for 10 seconds its negative. I tot d test shld also be positive a day after ovulation.

i also didnt get any positive opk the cycle i used letrozole, infact the af after it was helll, my dh suspects a cusy may hv developed. abeg who get remedy for cyst/painful periods?..can i do hot water bottle therapy?

How thick is ur uterine linning?.hv u done tvs or checked it b4?. thin linning is among the causes of small flow n also hinders implantation, do tvs/follicular tracking next cycle, so u can see ur eggs and linning thickness.
2ndly as the other mama said, stop felvin, ibuprofen etc...look for natural remedies, ginger and garlic tea, ruzu bitters etc

zobo acts like a blood thinner and some put ginger and other oririshi inside...would advice you to keep off in the 2ww...and if belle enter till first trimester sef

sorry my tab got stolen so I've not been available. I later didn't do amh cos we later saw prof himself and he didn't require it all I needed was hsg, he said cos of my age I didn't need to do hormonal assay, but dh did SFA, hormonal assay and all.
my experience prof is good they are all about procedure I.e iui, ivf. they are expensive sha

yes its an expensive place, did the iui work?..did they wash and sort the swimmers?..how many times were u inseminated... also what treatment were u put on to produce many eggs?

@mamatwiny, another mama has said it all, clomid doesnt work for everybody, and taking it cd 5 to 9, ensures fewer but mature eggs, cd 2 to 6, gives more eggs less mature > wch may hv been beta for you. you may try those dates if you are braze enough to try it again.
letrozole is preferable though more expensive, ..another mama said ovaboost does the same thing too.
next do tvs from day 10 or 11..if u hv a 29/30 day cycle...n trigger once the eggs reach 21/23mm and hvnt ruptured

@other mama asking about endo -
its strange, how come the acute period pains started immediately after the hydrotubation?.
hope the procedure didnt shift the tubes a lil,...i would suggest a 2nd opinion from other docs.
shud it be comfirmed...castor oil massage after af and stop b4 ovu, promrose oil tab, ruzu bitters, serrapeptase etc..all help to cure endo

@bennyboo u can still test if its not more than 3 days after af started -- so u can know exactly what happened.
the hcg hormone which the test strip detects remains upto 7-14days after a miscarriage, depending on how old the pregnancy is

Hello Mama... I had a regular cycle and I took M2Tone for like 2 cycles & it didn't disrupt my cycle at all. I also noticed that the blood clots I usually had got reduced.

Evening Primrose oil to be taken from Cd1 till like 2days b4 ur supposed or calculated ovulation day. Pls don't be confused... in the quietness of ur heart shall ur rest be. All these will end shortly with Success. Best wishes.

still too early to judge, but af cramps came with a vengeance today, i took 1 tab 1300mg primrose oil tab in the morning...and the cramps hv reduced drastically. intend to take 1 tab morning, another tab night.
2moro will go n look for letrozole, want to do cd 3 to cd 7

my cycle is regular, just heavy flow with super painful cramps. afraid it may scatter my regular cycle.

Hmm MummyKryti, if possible please use another centre, I don't like union for anything sorry to say, in my opinion their VI branch is still a bit okay, that Yaba and ikeja branch is nothing to write home about plus the reviews on here are not too encouraging.

@Newmum0615, hope they sterilized the equipment or used another one for u o, I mean what you saw is just the height of unprofessionalism for me, why would they leave such instrument where you would see it, plus HSG shouldn't even be that bad that one should bleed to start with. *shudders*

BECAUSE OF LONG OR SHORT CYCLE, SOME PEOPLE GO WHEN af hasnt totally ended...that is likely the cause of the blood u saw.
hsg doesnt come with bleeding..only minor spotting afterwards. i dont like union diagnoistics, they seem shoddy and over laboured

was in echoscan a few days ago for hsg..it was cool..even though many people were there..they were fast and efficient...and the hsg wasnt super painful as my experiences in st bridget.

also about the results, i trust my dh...he asked them for copies and they willingly gave him to go make copies.
though their results are handwritten...yuck!!!
in this 2017..hand written results again, after paying such high fees.

ahhhaa ahhha, pwettymii, you shud hv said this earlier on when i announced i was scouting for a hospital and graceland hospital is on my radar...hmmmmm ur story dey fear person o.
they took the sample in their office..both blood and sfa, who knows if they sent it to another lab, so they will add logistics and preservation cost
it was when we we went for hsg at echoscan that i saw the prices..sfa is 2500 naira, hormonal assy 15k.

dh has said that we will never ever smell that hospital again....
i wonder the people that were praising them, what they even saw to praise them for....
dh plans to redo the sfa at echo scan later on

good morning my able momas, baby dust to all of us. pls I want to start taking Serrapeptase and I read in some places that you should start with low dosage and increase gradually while others say otherwise. pls people that hav used it should tell me how they used it and got bfp. may God give us testimony soonest

yes some peoples body react to it, same as bee pollen.
for serrap..u can start with 120,000iu once a day for 2 days..then switch to 1 tab morning and nite for another 2 to 3 days...then u can switch to 3 to 6 tabs daily...depending on what or why you are taking it...it has no dosage, though i suggest u dont exceed 6...but if ur case is severe...why not.best taken on empty stomach first thing in the morning...and last thing at night...food should not come close to it 1 hr infront or behind...causes nausea n dizzyness in some people

then tthis hospital -GRACELAND HOSPITAL benin, off technical college rd...should be seriously avoided, they charged 50k for hormonal profile and 7500 for sfa....at the end of the day...nothing was wrong...even wrote amh test for us to go do somewhere else.-- my dh said no need.
it seems they are just after money, now advicing us to do iui,.....my dh s,emen is ok, over 45m, just poor motility below 25%, and some infection...the didnt even suggest treating the low motilit which may hv been caused by the high pus count or possible infection,,, instead na to begin suggest iui sharpely....wch they said cost over 200k.......who don do iui for there and got bfp?....left for my dh...na to delete that hospital sharperly, he feels they r not experienced..n money hungry too

Tanx to all mum that cheer with me, on my WIDD, it all started before I got married.We started trying since Jan this yr up till when I married in April, after wedding I joined this thread and learnt that I should seek medical help, I found a good gynecology around my area, did all the necessary test.I was diagnosed with high prolactin and staph aures, Bromocriptine was prescribed to me for high pro and some antibiotics for, staph, I took this bromocriptine from late may till today that I got my BFP at 5wks.Meanwhile after June AF I increased my water intake to more than 6 litres per day, took evening primrose from cd1 to cd10, ovulation tracking on cd13 with follicle of 18mm, bd from cd13-cd20, took vil b6 and folic acid from cd15 till I missed AF. Tested 7 days later with BFP. Tnk God. I pray that each of every one of us will get there BFP from now till 2 months IJN.

A doctor Sed LSC does not stop conception so far d little ones produced are active, I will advice since ur going for IUI, y don't u still try ur hubby's own, since d sper.m will be placed directly to the egg

the bolded isnt quite true, the best iui can do is place it at the neck of the cervix or in the uterus, the spermies still have to make effort to locate n swim into the tubes, find and fertilize the egg.

iui is good for unexplained infertility where the doc suspects hostile cm, or wrong timing, most iuis involve 2 inseminations..u can opt to use ur dh spermies first and the donor sperm on 2nd day/attempt. get your dh to drink 1 cup of coffee daily --best 2 to 3 hrs b4 doing the deed, as it gives the spermies some added burst of energy/motility. [na papa ripvanwink gimme this expo , some time ago]

Been ttc since September last year and it gets harder every month. Hubby has low sperm count but we are trusting God. Last month was just the worst. My period was delayed by 4 days and I decided to go to a lab for blood test. Tired of peeing on a stick and getting a negative then wondering if it's too early .

Anyway the lab attendant tested and told me it was positive. Oh I was happy, elated. I was jumping for joy. But then I need my gynae to confirm and make sure everything is okay, so off I went to the hospital. He said they have to run their own test, fine I said. Then it happened. Their test said negative. He said "don't worry, some kits discover it earlier. Just come back in 2 weeks".

I got my period while I was sleeping that night. I was the saddest thing that ever happend to me. But I know my pregnancy will happen. My God is a good God.

wow, what a disappointment, was it that the lab guys test was defective...or you had an early miscarriage/blighted ovum?
