I got a call from them yesterday, asking for my Transcript. I pleaded for more time to deliver it from my school via a courier service. He said he was actually calling because I passed the screening test, that I should get them my transcript asap. For those of us without transcripts yet, it means there's hope that they are still accepting ... cheers. As for any form of official payment: tuition, acceptance, ... Don't bring confusion here menhhhhh! This is a thread. Are you sure you are following? Perhaps try to review this current page to see how we are trying to refer and also compare FIRS with FCSC 2016 recruitment adventures. I only quoted @hopyroll. I don't think I'm mistaken here, neither am I mistaking FIRS for FCSC! |

hopyroll: The shortlisting was not publicized then. Because most applicants didn't hear anything about the shortlisting. Or better still they have not shortlisted atall. Are you an applicant or do you know anybody who got shortlisted? It was! in fact, a series of lists was published through their website some time ago (I saw it). Interviews have ended as well, according to their website, " Interviews of shortlisted candidates from Applications submitted during the 2016 recruitment exercise has ended." I guess applicants are currently awaiting appointment messages. To me, that is progress. What about this one? |

What Grade Level difference is between GT and EH? 1? 2? or do you think an EH would be offered GL 11 or 17 position outright for having 15 years experience? Remember this is not the so called REPLACEMENT . So you see, anyone who rejects the offer of GT in this context has no problem though, but has not gambled wisely. Just saying ... |

TKThankyou: Henry Umoru & Inalegwu Shaibu LAGOS — A proposal by the Federal Government to expend an annual average of N27 million on each staff of the Department of Petroleum Resources, DPR, as personnel cost caused a stir at the National Assembly, yesterday. Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Allison-Madueke, who led the DPR team and other agencies of the Ministry of Petroleum to the Senate defence hearing, however, assured that the government in a bid to curtail the burgeoning personnel cost was set to embark on a rationalization of its staff and agencies. An estimated N30 billion of a total budget of N35 billion proposed for the DPR is earmarked for the department’s 1,100 staff. A breakdown of the budget presentation tabled before the six committees of the National Assembly showed that of DPR’s N35, 997,149,841 budget, capital expenditure is only N4,786,302,790 while N31,210,847,051 will go to personnel costs and overheads. The budget estimate also indicated that personnel costs for DPR in 2012 is put at N30,399,182,331 while the remaining N811,664,720 is for overhead costs. please kindly cite this with date. Thanks. OK, I just got that. Thanks. |

Monicks: it's unofficial and unprofessional by an examiner to forget one's exam papers on desk. Meaning that, such an error cannot be entertained in CBT designs! I also don't believe that the Save button means anything other than to hold your input safe against failures. This thing we are talking about is just like processing a text for mailing. It's's your choice to save texts while you type, after which you click SEND (Submit). Would you tell me that without saving, your mail won't deliver? In conclusion, I don't believe I scored zero for not saving throughout. I only too a risk of network and power supply failures. Some of you guys are so selfish here. Eager ... excited by desire in the pursuit of the next stage just because your application was approved and you've been tested. Information is key. One should know by now that the exercise is in batches. Some applications have been rejected, some still pending successful submission, some already approved and tested. Why not chill discussing issues like; how many more are these batches? When would they start treating the next batch (whether to approve or reject them) and so on, instead of busy trying to digress. I chose to quote no one so it's not personal! |

noble4lily: Those arguing on SUBMIT BUTTON. Its simple programming. D countdown timer is programmed to >goto Submit. Once it gets to 0:00 so if u hit it or hot. Once its 0:00 command <submit> rakes effect. But if u decide to hit d button b4 d times goes off. Den it will jump command n got to submit directly.
The most important button dia is save dat wat registers tge input commands without clicking save the submit will end d program without input data. N thats zero. So weda u press submit or not b fully rest assured dat ur test was recorded.
Except for a case wia d system trips or networj goes n u have to restart d program. D example of submit in job applications is entirely are diff program. Dia is no auto countdown timer programmed to activate d submit button. I hope im clear enough. Just go n pray for d exams n hope u are called soonest for d oral interview.. Before d fcc examines d successful candidates n send back to dpr to issue offer letters. Good luck everyone Well said except one paragraph separated above. SUMMIT must register all your Imput data. The Submit button carries two functions: Save and end session or test. I really don't have write the test to understand this simple application software. |

whiteangels: Oga Ade hold on first. If while u are applying for a brass-ring, say GE position online, where u have to fill forms then hit the 'Save and Continue' button as u keeping filling the different segments of the application until u finally reach the Tab where u have the 'Submit' button then the network suddenly goes bad or ur phone goes off, will u assume or not that the applicaton has been submitted, even when u are 'COCK' sure u didnt hit the button? The 'Save as You Answer' technique was designed for everyone's good. It should have been automatic though. The idea of manual Save was to ease their database the stress of over working itself unnecessarily. The essence of saving is to prevent Imput Data Loss only against any kind of failure outside the database. If two guys start a CBT now and both are already half way done, with a clear difference that one saved his work and the other didn't. Suddenly, *Power failure*. After a successful restart and login. it's more likely that the guy who didn't save as he answered, would start all over. Just saying. |

There's no correlation between submitting application forms and submitting CBT tests. Timers (eg. Countdowns) used for monitoring CBTs are a special design . In developers world, it's like a rule, that says " All CBT timers must be logically connected to SUBMIT button". Submission is the most obvious evidence of participating in an exam, whether finished or not. A conventional method of writing tests or exams will prove to you that SUBMISSION is a must, whether you answer all or not. In a conventional method of conducting exams, Your papers must be manually collected at the end of the test(s), ( that is, when the set time elapses). So you see, as a Systems Analyst, it's a practice to make sure that all CBT timers (especially countdowns) are directly and logically linked to SUBMIT, unless otherwise stated. Your time must elapse before such a command can take effect. |

heebahiqram: FIRS recruitments usually takes time. Infact a whole lot of time as much as a year or two. The last time they did massive employment some candidates had even forgotten they applied cos the test invites came after a year same as d interview. So I think we should just be patient what will be will be judging by the way it was advertised and by the way the chairman presented the case before the NASS, it wasn't meant to take this long. Obviously, we have been fooled. I think we should just snap out of this 'waiting mode' before someone d**s! |
