Ogbeni u don't know what u re saying,who is the US to give support to Russia before she does what she feels is in her interest? Or maybe u re still thinking we re in the 90s,the tables have since turned and the Russians re taking what belonged to them back and taking no prisoners in the process.. For ur info,they slighted and badly bruised the US's ego in Syria and Crimea,even expelled American diplomats too in response to what the US did to hers too,so who is the US to give support to Russia when in fact they themselves ve had the same treatment that is being dishing out to the British presently ,my friend wake up,the US and Britain don't enjoy that monopolistic control over the world anymore...The US definitely knows her limits when it has to do with Russia and all they can do is saber rattle without real confrontations..Somebody once said the best thing the communists did for Russia irrespective of whether their rule was good or disastrous was the vast nuclear weaponry they made her have if not the US would ve since overran the country since this has always been their plan Bt they re being cautious because any real confrontations between the two would spell doom for the whole world and so far so good Russia has been the only one that has shown maturity so far..
