I sometimes wonder if history means anything to some folks down here. If a 30 year old Russian made SAM can downed a US stealth fighter in the Serbian war of 1999, I wonder what planes would become in the face of modern advanced SAMs.

The S-400 was made to defend against stealth, and some folks here don't even know it. That is one reason why Turkey wants it so bad. The Turkish military knew what was happening to the US planes operating from the Icirlick airbase. They knew that all US planes (including the F-22 raptor) were being "painted" over the Syrian sky by Russian SAMs. Even the DoD complained about it.

Now ask yourself, what else could track and identify the F22 raptor in Syria other than the S-400? Now you understand why Turkey wants it by all means.
