They have genuine fears not to want a very very ambitious Tinubu to succeed him.

We all know Tinubu have endured seven years of embarrassment from a party he nearly gave his life for (though for his own self preservation in future), which is not a bad thing.
A Tinubu presidency will be a vendetta against his perceived enemies.

He will not take arms against them or anything like that, but he will systematically dismember anything they left in place to erect his. Tinubu is clannish. Not Only with his yoruba people, but he will stylishly create a new power bloc in the north, who would be fiercely loyal to him. He will pocket all the establishments no matter who is heading it.
What I can't say however is how he will address the Igbo question, seeing that he has little or no regard for them (the feeling is mutual anyway), and even the south south bloc.
