What's gvn me concern abt d soft spot goin up and down on his head,is the visible suture that forms a kind of v-shape on his head, it wasn't visible at birth cos we shaved his hair @ 2wks and I didn't see it there,now that he is 6wks it just appeared suddenly. please. Is it normal cos I have never seen such on other babies head.

Wonderfl mama, 1st of all, relax . For d leg, just dont worry, it ll go down wt tym. My baby's own took up to 1wk or more b4 it completely went down. U dont need to apply anything. For d restlessness, u cld gv pcm if u feel he s in pain, bt it may nt b necessary for more dan 24hrs. Abt d part of his head going up and down(lol), mama relax inu? its completely normal. It ll b closing small small as he develops till it finally closes at abt 9-18months. Bt mama, e good as u come ask ur questions here. Jisike, u re doing a great job.

Pls mamas help me, my ds ws gvn his 6 wks vaccine,one of the leg is swollen
He has bn making this straining noise as if he wnts to poo,and his belly button comes out and refuse to go bck I took him to d doc that same day in d aftnun and was told no cause 4 alarm. We didn't sleep all tru to d night due to d strain noise and the again I notice his part if is head goin up and down and it extend to d forehead givn it a triangle lik shape.when he cries I see veins on his head.
I don't knw wat to do.pls help me.

Babies go through different sleep cycles...just like adults do too. Everything you described is normal. Babies naturally breathe faster and irregular...but it normalises as they grow. They also tend to hold ttheir breaths for a few seconds, then continue breathing.
Abnormal things you should look out for are - Wheezing sound, and a DEEP caving in of the chest (naturally, their chests cave in a bit when breathing...take note of that).
As foe the smile, it's normal. Most children start smiling between 3-6weeks old...it's no biggie. My daughter started smiling at about 3weeks, and my son was about 4weeks.

My 7 weeks baby smiles too. In fact she's been smiling since 3 or 4 weeks old

My experienced mamas in the house I don come again o! My prince is a month old today, and I noticed he sweats a lot while feeding,also when he is sleeping he breaths fasts for awhile then breaths normal,moves his eyes and smile. Even when he is awake he smiles a lot (I learnt frm my Mil that he too young to be smiling ). let me stop here for now.

Please mamas, how do I handle depression, I lost my immediate sister a day after my LO naming, I thought I would be able to get over it but it hasn't bn easy( 2wks now). I am always scared that sometin might happen to my baby,I don't feel capable of taking care of him on my own,I stay with my Mil presently but will go bck to my base after 40days. Pls I nid ur hlp as am not happy at all and its affecting my love for my LO I don't wnt to go bck feeling lk dis.

No it wasn't from birth,its bigger,and its watery when pressed.

Yes a watery lump, I was told to give him vitamin c and ampiclox drop,that mayb he is reacting to the saop and cream we use for him cos he has heat rashes on his fore head too and that we shld not press it while bathing him.

Hello mummy's, am a FTM, I noticed a swollen lump on my baby's scalp( he is a week old),this evening while bathing him. its somehow watery when I press it but doesn't seem to pain him. I want to take him to d hospital now but my MlL said I shld wait till tomoro besides my DH is not around. Please o I have been crying cause when I googled it, wat I read raised my bp.

Thanks for the opportunity, I am asthmatic and recently I have been using a drug dexamethasone for the past one month it works well, but I have been having leg pains and its getting worse so I have decided to stop the drug for now cos I can't bear the the pain.
