Kobojunkie:
You are planning to relocate without first obtaining employment or surveying the place for yourself, why? undecided
No, we plan on going there on holidays later this year, to survey the area, the objectives of this thread is to get information/recommendations on industries where one can apply or better still areas where one can set up a business.

Not really, I teach and also do a little buying and selling. My husband is into business center. It's not bringing in much tho.
But is it possible to get an employment offer over there?
FamilyIn Need Of Recommendations/advice. by moonberry(op): 9:57am On Oct 13, 2021
A lot has happened in our lives , and so as family we have decided to relocate to a much stable and relatively safer place.
Currently we reside in plateau state, so we
are hoping and thinking of moving down to Ibadan or anywhere close to the state.
I am hereby pleading dear familylanders, we need recommendations and advice on how best to make this huge step we are about to take in our lives a success.

Hi Nairalanders, my wife stopped working recently due to how late they close at their place of work. She now wants to start a small business of her own with a capital of 150,000-200,000 but doesn't know what particularly to start with.

Insult and ideas are all welcome.
Food stuff biz is cool too, she can also include hoarding of some agricultural produce like palm oil,yam groundnut etc.....when the prices fall she can buy in large quantity store and then she can sell later when the demand is on the high side.

The National Association of Private School Teachers (NAPST) is working round the clock to get support for all private schools teachers affected by the COVID 19 Pandemic.

Private School Teachers across Nigeria we are pushing for a special financial support for us, at the Federal Ministry of Education Abuja and the Nigeria Governor's forum will join

We are too important to be left with any attention as if we are ophans. Join the group as we are close to the success line

That is why we must first mobilize ourselves here and do the needful, by engaging all the relevant stakeholders.

While we prepare for the Protest to put pressure on them, we are visiting and engaging all the relevant stakeholders.

We will even meet CBN leadership too, PTF leadership, Governor's Forum, National Assembly leadership, Ministry of Education amongst others.

But if we feel protest will do the magic, then let's step up and put up the show, design placards and banners and hit the streets Maybe Monday or Friday. Depending on our decisions.

At the meeting at the Federal Ministry of Education, yesterday, they asked us, if we have a data base for private school teachers incase they decide to pay something to all instantly, and we told them we have a database we are building of all.

So we urge all private school teachers to register on the website so that we they ask for it, we can have a comprehensive list to submit to them.

See the website link
www.napst.org.ng

Before Yesterday, to register on the website, you are meant to pay N1,000 to be a member, but after yesterday's meeting, we decided to allow people to register without paying as non financial members , so that they can be captured at the database.

Yes, you now have a choice to be a financial member or a non financial member.

All we need is to help ourselves to get something from the Federal Government, state government and Private organisations.

Those registering with N1,000 will help the running around. Those who don't have the money should still register and be among those to get the support. When the money comes they can pay their registration fees then.
