Rivers state governor, Chief Barrister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike has decried the partisan role of the the military and F-SARS in the 2019 rivers state governorship elections.


In a statement made available to Views media, the governor stated that those indicted of trying to subvert the will of Rivers state people in the guber elections are yet to be prosecuted despite several official complaints and overwhelming evidence against them.





The statement reads"

"It is really unfortunate. All of us know that there was a coup in this state, organised by the Nigerian Army. In the history of this country, it has never happened where during ordinary election, Army will begin to kill people for no just cause.

"Because they believe a particular person or a particular party must win, it doesn't matter how many people die. It was shown on National Television. We watched how the Army invaded the whole Electoral Commission ".

This is the only state the Federal Government has never assisted to fight insecurity. Instead of us to team up & fight insecurity, you politicize it.

"Even if you make recommendations,nothing will happen. I don't know whether we are in a military regime or civil Administration.

Aside the Army, the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (F-SARs) has been a major anti-democratic force in the state, since the 2016 rerun elections.

The F-SARs murdered a PhD Holder and Chartered Accountant in cold blood simply because they wanted to subvert the will of the people.

The GOC here is a politician. Nothing has happened to him because he was sent. If it was when the country was a country, you cannot be keeping that GOC. He is sabotaging the security network.

Urgent measures should be taken to rejig the security architecture of the country, in view of the nationwide security challenges.

Rather than address the security challenges facing the country, security agencies move against critics of security failures."

3 persons has been confirmed dead at the Boss lounge and night club on Sunday night.

According to an eyewitness who spoke with Views media, 2 mobile police officers and a thug were killed during the fight.

Trouble started when the two police officers tried to stop an armed thug from entering the club.

Dar-es-Salaam, a Tanzanian Court must decide on a honorable intentions in a case where a man hired his neighbor to get his wife pregnant.

It seems that Darius Makambako 50 with his wife Precious 45, really wanted to have a child, but the renowned doctor had told the couple,the husband was sterile. There was no doubt, the couple was tired of being in a 6 year childless marriage.

So Makambako, a member of the Tanzanian Police Force (Traffic Department), after claiming his wife’s protests, hired his neighbor Evans Mastano, 52, a fellow police officer in the country’s commercial city to impregnate his wife.

Since Evans was already married and the father of two beautiful daughters, plus looked very much like Darius to the boot, the plan seemed good.

Makambako paid Mastano 2,000,000 Tanzanian Shillings (equivalent to K10,000) for the job and for three evenings a week for the next 10 months in 2016.
Evans tried desperately, a total 77 different times to pregnate his friend’s wife Precious but failed.

Reports say Precious a nurse at a private clinic had decided to get a three months vacation leave (March to June 2016) to dedicate hmy time to sleeping with her husband’s best friend and neighbor in order to have her first child, but the man failed to impregnate her despite the husband leaving them in bed the whole day in most times.

And when Precious failed to get pregnant for 10 months, however, Makambako was not understanding and insisted that Evans have a medical examination, which he did in January 2017.
The doctor’s pronouncement that Evans Mastano was also sterile shocked everyone except his wife, who was forced to confess that Evans was not the real father of her two children, but his cousin Edward.
“I was forced to secretly sleep with her first cousin for these two children after realizing that my husband could not impregnate me for two years”, Angela told the Dar-es-Salaam Today News.

Now Makamboko is suing Evans for breach of contract in an effort to get his money back, but Evans refuses to give it up because he said he did not guarantee conception, but only that he would give an honest efforts.

The federal government has sought the assistance of the Russian Federation to build nuclear power plants in Nigeria and modernise the country’s military arsenal.
Minister of Defence, Brigadier General Mansur Dan Ali (rtd), who made the request at a conference in Moscow, also called for the Russia’s intervention in constructing petroleum pipelines and railways.
This is coming as the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Tukur Buratai, disclosed that the Nigerian Army would soon take delivery of military hardware recently ordered by President Mohammadu Buhari.
A team of nuclear experts from America, Britain, norway and China along with Czech and Russian contractors recently removed highly enriched uranium from a research reactor in Kaduna State.
Nuclear non-proliferation experts had long warned that the reactor could be a target for terrorists hoping to lay their hands on nuclear material.
Presenting a paper at an International Security Conference in Moscow, the minister expressed government’s interest in the construction of a nuclear power plant, petroleum pipelines and railways and modernisation of its military arsenal in order to balance the lopsided trade ties between Russia and Nigeria.
“Nigeria wishes to create the legal and environmental conditions to accelerate Russian investment in the country, to expand trade and to achieve better balance in the trade relationship. At the moment the countries’ trade ties are lopsided in favour of Russia.
“Russia is the biggest market in Europe, while Nigeria the biggest market in Africa. The trade relations have been below expectation leaving gap for many unexploited potentials.
“Nigeria would also be interested in Russia helping it build nuclear power plants, petroleum pipelines, railways and other infrastructural development investments in oil and gas.
“Nigeria also seek your assistance with critical infrastructural development, especially the modernisation of its military arsenal”, he said.
On security, Dan-Ali said Nigeria would leverage on Russia’s experience in counterterrorism to eliminate Boko Haram and the Islamic State for West African Province (ISWAP) operating in Nigeria.
“The Federal Government of Nigeria looks forward to the promotion of friendly and cordial relations that will progress to excellent socio-economic partnership and the establishment of business ties that will be beneficial to both countries.
“On the security front, Nigeria counts on Russia’s continued partnership in eliminating the Boko Haram insurgents from our sub-region. We wish to leverage on Russia’s experience in counterterrorism operations to bring this scourge to an end.
“Military and technical assistance in this respect would be highly appreciated. We remain grateful to the Russian government for the numerous Nigerians who have over the years benefited from Russian training programmes, scholarship and the recent military hardware procurement initiative”, he said.

On technology, the minister said Nigeria was desirous of closing the technological gaps in order to safeguard national security.

“The attributes of the region mostly consists of inability to keep up with the global advancement in technology.

This is the dividing line between successful nations and not so successful nations. Africa is finding it extremely difficult to keep abreast of advancement in technology.

A young lady who was on her way to church was hit by a police car chasing a commercial bus this morning in port-harcourt and she was badly injured.




Rather than take her to a hospital for medical care,the police officers picked her from the point where they hit her and dropped her off by Emenike junction in mile 1 Diobu in front of the UBA bank and fled.



An eyewitness told views media that the police officers had initially harassed and threatened the lady before speeding off.

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has suspended 12 Local Government Council Chairmen. The suspension of the council Chairmen is with immediate effect.

The suspended Council Chairmen include : Okrika, Emohua, Abua/Odual, Degema, Khana, Gokana, Ahoada East, Ikwerre, Eleme, Andoni, Tai,Omuma and Ogu/Bolo Local Government Areas.

The affected Council Chairmen were suspended for failure to participate in State official functions.

Remember the man that was controversially raised from the dead in Pastor Alph Lukau church in February? His name Elliot Brighton Moyo has died again.

Sources reported Brighton died last week in neighbouring South Africa and was buried on Saturday. Elliot is survived by his wife and had no children.
According to a relative, his stomach started swelling and didn’t stop for three days and on the third day, he died.

Brighton made headlines all over the world after he was caught on camera being resurrected by Pastor Lukau.

The resurrection became controversial after mortuary Kings and Queens reported Lukau to the police for abusing their car to stage a miracle.

When he came to Alleluia Ministries International there were reports that he was HIV positive and he had kidney failure and he also had TB (tuberculosis).

However when reached for comment, official from the church, who stressed that what happened in February was not a miracle.
