After a federal high court Judge ruled for a plea of not guilty for suspected serial killer David west and ordered for him to undergo trials before the court while expressing readiness for a speedy hearing of the matter.

The Court ordered the suspect to be remanded in prison custody.

However a prison source revealed to Viewsnaijamedia that Mr West was thoroughly beaten by other inmates in prison.

The source added that the suspected serial killer fell sick after being manhandled by inmates.

This development forced prison officials to relocate West to a different cell but the occupants protested and expressed fear that they might also be killed same way the girls were killed.

A source said West has found it hard making friends in prison as inmates have developed the habit of avoiding making contacts with him.

He said West stares reflectively as other prisoners engage in their daily activities.
The Port Harcourt Prison did not give any response to the media on the allegation that West was being manhandled by fellow inmates.

Hearing on his murder trial will resume on November 18.

Thursday’s proceedings in the trial of musician Naira Marley for alleged credit card fraud was abruptly cut short as a quarrel ensued among lawyers over space to sit in the small courtroom.
The trial judge, Justice Nicholas Oweibo, was forced to adjourn the case till December 11 and 12, 2019 in the heat of arguments among lawyers.

The Federal High Court in Lagos where the trial is taking place has serious challenges over space, as the courtrooms are generally small.

It is not unusual to find lawyers and litigants fight over seat or space to stand in the courtrooms.

Mr Gracious David-West the suspected notorious serial killer on Tuesday, pleaded guilty to 9 of the 10 Count charges levelled against him by the Rivers state Police Command.

West who arrested on his way to Uyo on September 20 was for the first time, arraigned before a Rivers High Court in Port Harcourt on Monday.

He is accused of murdering over seventeen (17) ladies in different hotels across the country.

However, during the court proceeding on Monday, the suspect did not have a lawyer to defend him.

The trial Judge, Justice Adolphus Enebeli, based on the expedition of the matter, adjourned to 22nd October 2019 (Today), for the suspect to get a lawyer that will represent him in the case.

Justice Enebeli had stressed further that if the suspect was unable to procure a lawyer, the court will have no choice but to provide him with a lawyer.

The court on Tuesday appointed Vincent Chukwu to defend West. Chukwu expressed readiness to defend his court-appointed client.

However David-West pleaded not guilty to the last charge of attempted murder of several female genders in Rivers State.

The House Representatives Committee on Public Petition has asked the Vice-Chancellor of the University Of Port Harcourt to appear before it to answer questions over the petition written against him by some graduates of the institution.

The One thousand, two hundred and twenty-seven graduates’ had on the 18th of August petitioned Prof. Ndowa Lale, Uniport’s Vice-Chancellor and the university to the House of Representatives for the refusal of the institution to mobilize them for national youth service.

The petition was sent to the House of Representatives through Hon. Engr. Solomon Adaelu, member representing Obingwa, Osisioma and Ugwunagbo Federal Constituency who presented and submitted to the House of Representatives on Thursday.

The graduates said the school is withholding their Degree Certificates and refusing to mobilize them for the compulsory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) because they paid their final year school fees late.

Three suspected kidnappers have been killed by soldiers attached to the Elele Barracks in Elele Alimini, Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State.

It was gathered that the soldiers with the support of a local vigilante group stormed the hideout of the alleged kidnappers leading to an exchange of gunfire between them and the kidnappers.

Mr John Woka, the head of the vigilante group said the suspected kidnappers abducted unspecified number of persons whom they kept in a bush along Elele Barrack Road.

Woka said that upon knowledge of the criminals’ hideout, the combined team of his group and the soldiers moved in to rescue the victims.

He said that upon sighting the army, the kidnappers opened fire which led to the killing of three of them with three others sustaining various degree of injuries.
The vigilante head said the victims were rescued unharmed.

A suspected serial killer, Gracious David West, has been arraigned before a Rivers High Court in Port Harcourt by the Rivers State Police Command.

The suspect who is alleged to have murdered over seventeen (17) ladies in different hotels across the nation was charged with ten count charges of murder and attempted murder.

During the court proceeding, the suspect Gracious West did not have a lawyer to defend him in court.
The trial Judge, Justice Adolphus Enebeli, based on the expedition of the matter, adjourned to 22nd October 2019, for the suspect to get a lawyer that will represent him in the case.

Justice Enebeli stressed further that if the serial killer suspect is unable to procure a lawyer before tomorrow, 22nd, October, the court will have no choice but to provide him with a lawyer.

When asked why the suspect has been unable to get a lawyer before now, OC Legal and Prosecution Rivers Police Command, SP Gladys Imegu, told reporters that it is not the duty of the police to provide the suspect with a lawyer.

She said they have filed their charge and the suspect has been properly served.

A Texas man wanted out of his marriage and instead of going through divorce proceedings, he faked his wife's signature on paperwork in turn ending their union without her knowledge.

The New York Daily News reports Paul Nixon submitted forged documents and false information to a Houston district court. Nixon also reportedly committed perjury when testifying in court during a divorce hearing. The divorce has been tabled due to the perjury and fraudulent documents.

The constable’s office started the investigation after Mrs. Nixon informed officials of the divorce that occurred without her knowledge.

Harris County Constable Mark Herman spoke with a local news outlet and said that a search for Mr. Nixon is underway as he is now wanted for aggravated perjury.

“We have teams out looking for him right now, I can tell you,” he told the station. “And we have an idea where he’s at. So hopefully, he’ll turn himself in. If not, we’ll catch him. Just a matter of time.”

Family and friends of Mrs Precious Steve are asking for answers following her tragic death in the hands of assailants in Port Harcourt.

The mother of three who also delivers good ordered online was lured by a yet-to-be-identified customer to deliver goods on Saturday but never returned, her family said.

She is the 5th lifeless body of a young lady discovered in Port Harcourt in the last two months and the 6th in the past three months.

Some of the deaths remain unexplained by the police.
A family source said her lifeless body was discovered on Sunday at Odili road roundabout, Abuloma Town in Port Harcourt.

A relative of the deceased, Omoregbe Peters, told our correspondent that her death came to them as a huge shock.

He said that the family reported to the police when she went missing, adding that they were called to identify her body which was dumped at Odili road hours after she went missing.

He did not provide more details but said the family needs privacy at this point of mourning.

He said that the police promised to unravel the mystery behind her death, adding that the family deserves justice and expressed hope that her killers would be brought to book.

Precious who is from Edo State, also studied Mass Communication at the Rivers State University and graduated in 2011.
Omoni Nnamdi, the Public Relations Officer of Rivers State Police Command, did not respond to enquiries sent to his phone for comments on the matter.

In a situation that looks like a serial killer is on a rampage in the city of Port-Harcourt ,another unidentified Lady has again been allegedly murdered by her Male lover in a hotel in Port Harcourt.

According to the report, the lady was killed on Wednesday the 4th of September at a popular hotel called Diver Hotel in the GRA axis of Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

This is the third time in the past three months that such incident is recorded in the State.

American Rapper Rick Ross is coming clean about the scariest seizure he's ever had.

Deep within the pages of his new memoir Hurricanes, Ross opens up about the seizure that changed his life forever. According to a report People published on Tuesday (Sept. 3), the Port of Miami II rapper described what happened on the night of his most severe seizure in 2018. In the book, Ross says that the seizure, which was brought on by a mixture of codeine, alcohol and other drugs, made him foam at the mouth and defecate on himself all while he was in bed with a woman.

"I’d caught a cold the day before and had a bad cough. I’d been taking DayQuil and using Vicks VapoRub all day," Ross says in the book. "When I went to bed that night I had a seizure. But I didn’t come out of it the way I usually do. My breathing was all bleeped up. At around 3:30 in the morning the girl I was with went downstairs and told Tomcat I had shit myself and was foaming at the mouth."
At the time, 911 was called but Ross told his people to turn them away since he felt like he could handle it.

Once he got into the shower to clean himself off, Ross said that he began coughing up blood. That's when he decided it was time to go to the hospital. After he arrived at the hospital, a doctor told Ross that he had aspiration pneumonia. He came down with the lung infection after something got into his lungs during the seizure and caused an in­fection.

After the seizure, Ross cleaned up his lifestyle and even lost 75 pounds. You can read about his health scare in his new memoir Hurricanes in stores now.
