Thank God for you. I agree with you on the way out of this virus. The vitamin aspect is key to the fight.
nonny400:
I had to boost my immune system. Took vitamins and chloroquine. And enough vitamins.

The fever left, the dry cough left, but my sense of taste and smell were gone even though I had no catarrh. I did my research and found out it's common among and temporary, and truly it's gradually returning.

I'm not qualified for an antibody test due to my mild symptoms, so...

Which country you return from?
Jarus:
Oga, not everybody that arrived from abroad before airport closure has been tested. Some people will only be showing symptoms now.

And not everyone that had contact with those already positive has been tested.

I came into Nigeria on 14 March. I only got tested this week Monday.

Throwback:
[s]The Finance Minister who did not save a cent from the Oil windfall from 2010 to 2014 when a barrel of oil was over $100/barrel.

Rather, the Excess Crudeoil Account was ran down from $20b to $2b, and foreign reserve ran down from $47b to $29b. Also ensuring to borrow more money at a time we should have been saving more than what OBJ and Yar'Adua were able to save during less buoyant economic period.

And just 9months after the Crude Oil price began dipping from $100/barrel towards $50/barrel, she shamelessly admitted that the Jonathan led Federal Government had already borrowed N470b ($2.5b as at that time) to pay salaries of federal civil servants for February, March, and April 2015.

All she had to her credit was warning that a recession was coming, forgetting she was in the driving seat to make a change as the Finance Minister and coordinating Minister of the economic team that failed the nation.

What a shame![/s]

Your sister's brother-in-law is definitely not your sister's husband. Tell her about it and both of you should plan how to convince your sister's husband to convince his brother to marry you.

HealthRe: Court Stops Lagos Public Hospitals From Demanding Blood Donations For Childbirth by Mopolchi: 2:10pm On Mar 04, 2020
mzhannie:
Pcv of 36% is okay and thus do not require transfusion. And the outcome of delivery can't be ascertain during antenatal anything like PPH can pop up so one has to prepare hence the donation.. So if it isn't used just act you donated as an act of humanitarian service cos it's isn't sold. I am sure what you paid for is grouping and crossmatching.
I should be told of this first so I will not feel cheated.
HealthRe: Court Stops Lagos Public Hospitals From Demanding Blood Donations For Childbirth by Mopolchi: 12:15pm On Mar 04, 2020
I paid and was led to donate. I did donate a pint of blood. I was told that it will be used for the donee. The donee's blood level was 36% after delivery and needed the blood but the donee was not given any. My take here is: if you will not use the blood later, do not demand it as a criterion for giving birth. The hospital should ascertain a particular level of blood a woman should have before delivery. If the level is not reached, the blood donor should be told to donate one. It is a scam to demand blood which apriori you know you will not use for the donee later. And there is no guaranty that I will be given the pint freely if I later return to the hospital in need of blood.
mzhannie:
It wasn't given because there wasn't need for it and like I said the 7k you paid was for grouping and crossmatching. To know if your blood level is within range for you to donate and to be sure it's free from all transmissable infections. Since she didn't use the blood it can't be given back cos it's of no use to you. They give to someone in dire need of it and person looks for another donor to replace so the blood bank won't be empty. If you are to buy blood in a private owned lab it's nothing less than 22k
HealthRe: Court Stops Lagos Public Hospitals From Demanding Blood Donations For Childbirth by Mopolchi: 11:15am On Mar 04, 2020
I donated blood and paid 7000 and no blood was given to the donee on the delivery day and after. 100% certain of the experience.
mzhannie:
Ma'am the 7k you paid is for the Lab scientist to screen the blood and to know if you are fit for the donation some have low PCV. Both yours and the patient. If they don't screen the blood means we would have lots of infected blood in the bank. Gen hosp do not sell blood they only give the blood out and the patient inturn look for someone to donate back only private blood banks sells blood because the pay people who donate.
HealthRe: Court Stops Lagos Public Hospitals From Demanding Blood Donations For Childbirth by Mopolchi: 5:38am On Mar 04, 2020
It happened to me at General Hospital, Gbagada.
noblealuu:
What do you say of a situation where someone's husband donates blood and still paid ₦7000. At the end of the day, the woman was delivered of her baby and never needed blood transfusion. Money was not refunded, and donated blood would have used for someone else. This happens in Island Maternity.
