Word from high profile sources are wagging on a potential presidential bid by Africas most powerful
woman.
The recession hit country may get a relief soon from the former boss of the World Bank.
With international backing and a cult following in the southern Nigeria and among women, Nigeria may as well soon get its first female presidency. The news is that the Clinton family whom she is well
aquinted may have inspired her dreams. Currently she is holding consultations in Abuja, Lagos and Kano with political stakeholders. A sponsored exploratory poll shows her beating the incumbent Muhammadu Buhari whose ratings have waned on the onset of the current recession. She also has a clean record in a corruption marred nation and also is held in esteem by millions of nigerians.
PoliticsOkonjo Iweala Beats Liberian President As Africas Most Powerful Woman: Forbes by mordsith(op): 10:51am On Sep 25, 2016
Forbes Magazine has ranked Nigeria’s former
Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala as the
48th most powerful women in the world.
Okonjo-Iweala has helped Nigeria’s economy, the
largest in Africa, grow an average of 6% (per
annum) over three years.
She is credited with developing reform programs
that helped improve governmental transparency and
stabilizing the economy.
Okonjo-Iweala is the first woman to be the finance
minister and the foreign minister of the West African
country with a GDP of $502 billion. But the start of
the year has been difficult for Nigeria. The country
voted in former general Muhammadu Buhari as
president, ousting long-time President Goodluck
Jonathan, with the hope he will help fight against the
local terrorist group Boko Haram.
The Harvard- and M.I.T.-trained Okonjo-Iweala
spent 21 years as a development economist at the
World Bank.
Since the inception of the Forbes top 100 most
powerful women in the world in 2004, a
number of Nigerians have made the enviable and
globally acclaimed Forbes ranking in different
categories. Notable among these are Nigerian
billionaires Aliko Dangote and Folorunsho Alakija as
well as Nigeria’s immediate past Minister of
Agriculture and freshly elected President of the
African Development Bank.

This year, Okonjo-Iweala is ranked 48th on the
Forbes list of the world’s most influential women,
ahead of World Health Organisation (WHO)’s
Director General Margaret Chan, ranked 62nd and
Liberian President, Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf
at 96th position, among many others.
Ngozi Okonjo Iweala shares this rare honour with
global icons such as US Presidential Candidate and
former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, ranked
number 2 and German Chancellor, Angela Merkel
who is ranked as the most powerful woman in the
world.

PoliticsWhy Can't The Igbo Nation Unite???? by mordsith(op):
Let me take off this Delta Igbo toga Ive been disguised with. I am an Isoko boy from Oyede, born and bred on the streets of Warri. I have to claim Igbo because they are the only ones championing resource control and you can only engage in national affairs as Igbo, yoruba or hausa.

Now to the point; I have created several Igbo unity threads only to have it torn by the Imo and Anambra supremacist......like who cares about omambala-okigwe shit.

A thread about an Igbo state pics would result in ego contest. Whyhuh?

Let me state that my concern only borders on the 2019 question and nothing more.

Please I want an answer from folks in the house. WHY CANT THE IGBOS UNITE.
PoliticsRecession: Where Is Buhari's Economic Team? ??? by mordsith(op): 11:06pm On Sep 24, 2016
NIGERIA IS IN THE FIRST RECESSION OF OVER 17 YEARS.

Where exactly is the economic team tackling it?

Team leader : Professor Yemi Osibanjo. A senior advocate of Nigeria and having only a textbook knowledge of Economics (if any).

Team captain: Kemi Adeosun. A former accountant with price waterhouse coopers accounting firm. Cut her tooth as state commissioner for finance. Basically has zero idea on policy formulation.

Team member: Enalamah Okechukwu. . Trained as a MEDICAL DOCTOR . Headed Nigeria's largest securities firm.

Team member: Udoh Udoma. Top lawyer and has Akwa Iboms most prestigious law firm. Currently serves as budget planning minister. Has zero knowledge in Economics except that he has a first class economist brain beside him as PA.

There you have it, Nigeria has no economic team.

CONCLUSION:

THE RECESSION IS GOING TO STAY FOR A VERY LONG TIME. NO POLITICAL SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM AS THE SOUTH WEST WILL STILL VOTE HIM COME 2019 AND THE IGBOS ARE NOT YET UNITED.

SO NAIRALANDERS ENJOY YOUR RECESSION.

PoliticsLetter To The President: Before It Is Too Late...remove The Ban On Foodstuffs by mordsith(op): 8:55pm On Sep 04, 2016
Let me start by congratulating you on over one year in office as president of this nation. I am an apolitical person with no political leanings but with concern for my stomach and the peaceful coexistence of Nigerians.

I will be candid, lucid and straight to the point.

Oga .......boys dey hungry.

I don't know the reason why people voted for you despite all the suffering you caused when you last governed.......But still you can't punnish us for it. Remove the ban on foodstuffs ........Nigeria will attain sufficiency in food production but not through this route.

Back in the 1980's our parents suffered and smiled.......we aren't our parents .......we won't smile. A REVOLUTION BY NIGERIANS IS LOOMING.

FUEL price is high........I know you won't understand that since you are enjoying our taxes. ........FOOD PRICES ARE UNBEARABLE .........your family in Aso rock won't understand it. But people have children to feed.

I am aware that several persons that have your ear are telling you all is well. IT ISN'T .......NIGERIANS ARE EXCHANGING THEIR CHILDREN FOR FOOD AND SUICIDE IS BECOMING RAMPART.

A HUNGRY MAN IS AN ANGRY MAN........HUNGRY DOGS DO NOT HEAR THE MASTERS WHISTLE.

DO THE RIGHT THING.

Recent news on the smuggling of rice into nigeria made headline of recent. Allow the importation of rice to reduce the price......PLEASE.

REASON: An army of hungry Nigerian is a catalyst for revolution..........MAYBE THAT IS YOUR AIM.

......YOU INCREASED FUEL........NOBODY SPOKE.
........YOU INCREASED RICE THROUGH AN ILL-THOUGHT BAN..........WE DEY LAUGH.

If this message gets to you ......please act before it is too late.

Christianity EtcRe: Is Religion Behind Wars, Violence, Armed Conflicts...... Review by mordsith(op): 2:59pm On Aug 22, 2016
CHRISTIANITY AND VIOLENCE:

Christianity is intrinsically nonviolent, but has suffered from a "confusion of loyalties". He proposes that "rather than the character of the Christian faith itself, a better
explanation of why Christian churches are either
impotent in the face of violent conflicts or actively participate in them.

"Beginning at least with Constantine's conversion, the followers of the Crucified have perpetrated gruesome acts of violence under the sign of the cross. Over the centuries, the seasons of Lent and Holy Week were, for the Jews, times of fear and trepidation; Christians have perpetrated some of the worst pogroms as they remembered the crucifixion of Christ, for which they blamed the Jews. Muslims also associate the cross with violence; crusaders'
rampages were undertaken under the sign of the cross."

The Inquisition: The inquisition is a group of institutions within the judicial system of the Catholic Church whose aim was to combat heresy[30] The Spanish Inquisition is
often cited in popular literature and history as an example of Catholic intolerance and repression. The total number processed by the Inquisition throughout its history was approximately 150,000;
applying the percentages of executions that appeared in the trials of 1560–1700—about 2%— the approximate total would be about 3,000 put to death. Nevertheless, it is likely that the toll was higher, keeping in mind the data provided by Dedieu and García Cárcel for the tribunals of Toledo and valencia, respectively. It is likely that between 3,000 and 5,000 were executed. About 50 people
were executed by the Mexican Inquisition. Included in that total are 29 people executed as Judaizers" between 1571 and 1700 out of 324 people prosecuted for practicing the Jewish religion.

Christian terrorism

Christian terrorism' comprises terrorist acts by groups or individuals who use Christian motivations or goals for their actions. As with other forms of religious terrorism, Christian terrorists have relied on interpretations of the tenets of faith – in this case, the Bible. Such groups have cited Old testament and New Testament scriptures to justify violence and killing or to seek to bring about the " end times " described in the New Testament

Support of slavery

Nearly all Christian leaders before the late 17th century recognised slavery, within specific Biblical limitations, as consistent with Christian theology . In early Medieval times, the Church discouraged slavery throughout Europe, largely eliminating it. That changed in 1452, when Pope Nicholas V instituted the hereditary slavery of captured Muslims and pagans, regarding all non-Christians as "enemy of christ." Genesis 9:25–27, the Curse of Ham, says: "Cursed be Canaan! The lowest of slaves will he be to his brothers. He also said, 'Blessed be the Lord, the God
of Shem! May Canaan be the slave of Shem." This verse has been used to justify racialized slavery, since "Christians and even some Muslims even identified Ham's descendents as black Africans".
Many modern Christians are united in the condemnation of slavery as wrong and contrary to God's will. Only peripheral groups such as the Ku Klux Klan and other Christian hate groups on the racist fringes of the Christian Reconstructionist and Christian Identity movements advocate the reinstitution of slavery.
Christianity EtcIs Religion Behind Wars, Violence, Armed Conflicts...... Review by mordsith(op): 2:38pm On Aug 22, 2016
There have been very few wars without religious undertones......Even the Biafran civil war had religious tones as Catholic france and the vatican rallied support for the break away republic against islamic domination. Today Boko Haram is........you already know.

The most common comeback from atheists to people of faith: religion is the main cause of wars . Without faith, many say, there would have been no 9/11 attacks, no Israeli-Palestinian conflict, no troubles in Northern Ireland, no violent disputes over words in holy texts - even no Islamic State.

We would deal with this topic under 3 sub heads...... please follow.....

1. HIS ENTIRE MILLITARY CAREER WAS A FRAUD AS HE DIDN'T HAVE THE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR ENLISTMENT INTO THE ARMY.

2. HIS ENTIRE MILLITARY CAREER WAS A FRAUD HENCE HE SHOULD REFUND HIS SALARIES AND PENSION.

3. HE CAME INTO POWER AS A MILLITARY HEAD OF STATE BY VIRTUE OF BEING AN ARMY PERSONNEL .........WHICH WAS FRAUDULENT ALL THE SAME. HENCEFORTH HE SHOULD NO LONGER BE ENTITLED TO SALARY AS A PAST HEAD OF STATE.

4. LASTLY THE 2.8 BILLION HE LOOTED AS PTF CHAIRMAN IS STILL FRESH IN OUR MEMORY. EVEN FELA WROTE A SONG ABOUT IT. THE SUM SHOULD ALSO BE RETURNED TO THE NIGERIAN TREASURY IMMEDIATELY.
