No one is asking USA to come to Nigeria. USA has offered on many occasions to station troops in Nigeria, but the Nigerian government has refused. The problem is USA policy prohibits American soldiers from working with militaries that have been accused of human rights abuses, that’s why their involvement in the Boko Haram issue has been minimal. [/b]You stated in your post that developed countries aren't getting involved and then you pointed out the U.S. disinterest specifically. The Nigerian government only refused because they know that all of these human rights abuses would be invested and someone would be held accountable. Of course, they wouldn't want us coming over there "trying" to take over things and unveil their dirty work now would they? There wouldn't be a such thing as Boko Haram when we arrive. But, they don't want to give us "all of that power."[b]

And for why USA should be concerned with what goes on in Nigeria. Well Nigeria has the number one economy in Africa, with the largest population and the biggest potential. [/b]Trust me, the U.S. isn't concerned. But why should we be when your own politicians don't care about the people who voted them in office to protect them? That may be one of the reasons why we didn't care to stop purchasing oil without any dispute. It just seems as though you wanted us to be concerned with the post. Maybe I read into it too much? Anyway, for a country that has the number one economy in Africa with the largest population and biggest potential, don't you think it is kind of ridiculous that there are little to no jobs available for the poor and recent college graduates? In order for an economy to boom and be prosperous, there needs to be more opportunities for jobs and more people working than people who are not.[b]
