Ipledge:As parents, that was their job to provide for me. I didn't ask to be here. They wanted that. Nevertheless, my parents would never make me choose between someone that I care about and them. It isn't fair or right. |
If you are an adult and you are providing for yourself, you should follow your heart. |
phlio:same here |
phlio:I'll stick to reading it. haha |
phlio:I'm too shy for the stage. I took a literature class in college that was all about Shakespeare and his literature. |
You should take your N4,000 and do something nice for yourself. She is using you. If she doesn't want to be with you, then she doesn't deserve anything from you, to include your time. Let's look at it from a different perspective. Would she get paid if she didn't go to work? Probably not. |
phlio:I will copy all day in the name of good literature! lol Romeo and Juliet, of course, The Tempest, and King Lear, and The Sonnets are my other favorites. |
These can be followed in not only marriages, but by everyone in their everyday lives. Communication, respect, not being overly infatuated with physical appearances, and knowing that material things will not define happiness would make people better for themselves. The world would be a better place to live in. |
phlio:Yes. Shakespeare. |
They are all beautiful. |
Stop the madness. No one put voodoo on you. Seems as though you are interested in only her? That isn't a horrible way to be! |
phlio:To be specific, Tudor dynasty, Queen Elizabeth's and Queen Mary's reign, Victorian era |
phlio:Thanks, but brilliant? Nah. It is only some middle school history knowledge and my love for history in general. #geek |
It all begin as a tradition during the Black Plague in England. The bodies of the deceased were buried six feet under so that there would be no way possible of the disease spreading. Also, it was an ideal depth, since soil erosion occurs and people were only buried in wooden boxes. When the soil erodes, the wooden boxes that the dead was placed in would have rotten and having the bodies that far under would decrease the chance of the bones later rising back up to top and exposing healthy people to toxins from the decomposition. You're welcome. ![]() |
What she fails to realize is that her genetic makeup is black. No matter who she decides to "mix" with, her babies will still be black. I see that self hate exists everywhere in the world! |
Not only can Nigerian youth be inspired from this post, but youth all over the world. |
Naijasinglegirl:Let's see what that amounts to in the U.S.: N10000 = $50.24USD (cost of a cheap hotel for one night) N15000 = $75.36USD (cost of gas for your car for a week) N600000 = $3014.32USD (one semester of college - tuition only; no housing included) You should never allow any man to put a price on your body. You did the right thing. At least you won't have to regret helping someone cheat on his spouse and doesn't value women. Besides, N600000 is NOTHING in the states and will quickly disappear. |
You should tell him, even though you don't want to. It would be the right thing to do and it won't have to continue to linger. |
I don't understand why it takes an act of Congress for you all to get what you rightfully earned. Better yet, you also paid for it in advance. You should be able to get your request treated as urgent and in a timely fashion. |
If you have to ask for advice on the issue instead of saying no, you are already considering and agreeing to do it. |
rudebouy:You aren't allowed to show up to see why she isn't answering you? That must suck badly. |
Too bad all women will have more than one of these traits from every category. Does that make her unfit? No. It means that she has standards. If any man follows any of these opinions strictly, he will either be one of two things: single forever or become gay. Maybe a man would be a better fit! |
I may be wrong, but it seems as if she is losing interest? Have you tried going over to her place instead? Best wishes! |
chanddys:For me, I'm in my mid 20's and I am more focused on my second degree and career. Those things are most important anyway. I know people who are in relationships/marriages in the 20's and are miserable as ever. All that marriage business can wait. |
justmag:Even though both are wanted, I don't find them to be necessities at the moment. When the times comes, it will come. I won't be rushing it. In the meantime, I'll be continuing my life goals. |
ElFenomeno1:You are right. There's no age limit to get married in my eyes. |
[quote author=wristwatch post=31514919 But @ 50, menopause would have set in.[/quote]No excuses. There will always be lube for the dryness. |
justmag:Being married isn't a first priority for me, but success is. If it takes me until I'm 50 to be married due to reaching some life goals first, then so be it. |
justmag:In my country, it is okay to be 50 and have a boyfriend. I wouldn't give up hope! |
This is so beautiful! |
There shouldn't be an age limit on finding love. |
simon004:The guy doesn't always have to create all of the fun, but if he isn't creating any at all, that is where the problem comes in. See, when I am in a relationship, I don't submit to gender roles. I treat the man the way I want to be treated and that is how it should always be. I plan dates and romantic evenings as a woman and I love to do it. So, this girl boring, nah. Trying to adjust to a personality that doesn't suit your liking is boring and doomed from the beginning. This will only create many bad days and little good ones. I won't ever settle and I don't suggest anyone to. ![]() |
