Ipledge:
so what about all these years they have been providing for you, chai I shake my head
As parents, that was their job to provide for me. I didn't ask to be here. They wanted that. Nevertheless, my parents would never make me choose between someone that I care about and them. It isn't fair or right.

If you are an adult and you are providing for yourself, you should follow your heart.

You should take your N4,000 and do something nice for yourself. She is using you. If she doesn't want to be with you, then she doesn't deserve anything from you, to include your time. Let's look at it from a different perspective. Would she get paid if she didn't go to work? Probably not.

Romance / Re: Five Marraige Tips For Every Wife… by morethanadoll(f): 6:23pm On Mar 18, 2015
These can be followed in not only marriages, but by everyone in their everyday lives. Communication, respect, not being overly infatuated with physical appearances, and knowing that material things will not define happiness would make people better for themselves. The world would be a better place to live in.

It all begin as a tradition during the Black Plague in England. The bodies of the deceased were buried six feet under so that there would be no way possible of the disease spreading. Also, it was an ideal depth, since soil erosion occurs and people were only buried in wooden boxes. When the soil erodes, the wooden boxes that the dead was placed in would have rotten and having the bodies that far under would decrease the chance of the bones later rising back up to top and exposing healthy people to toxins from the decomposition.

You're welcome. wink

What she fails to realize is that her genetic makeup is black. No matter who she decides to "mix" with, her babies will still be black. I see that self hate exists everywhere in the world!

Romance / Re: Should I Have Sold My Virginity For N600,000? by morethanadoll(f): 9:29pm On Mar 13, 2015
Naijasinglegirl:
Each time he came by my hostel, he would squeeze N10000 to N15000 into my palms for dinner.

Six hundred thousand Naira was written boldly on the cheque.

Let's see what that amounts to in the U.S.:
N10000 = $50.24USD (cost of a cheap hotel for one night)
N15000 = $75.36USD (cost of gas for your car for a week)
N600000 = $3014.32USD (one semester of college - tuition only; no housing included)
You should never allow any man to put a price on your body. You did the right thing. At least you won't have to regret helping someone cheat on his spouse and doesn't value women. Besides, N600000 is NOTHING in the states and will quickly disappear.

You should tell him, even though you don't want to. It would be the right thing to do and it won't have to continue to linger.

I don't understand why it takes an act of Congress for you all to get what you rightfully earned. Better yet, you also paid for it in advance. You should be able to get your request treated as urgent and in a timely fashion.

Romance / Re: Men: Please Don't Ever Consider Marrying These 10 Types Of Women. by morethanadoll(f): 11:19pm On Mar 12, 2015
Too bad all women will have more than one of these traits from every category. Does that make her unfit? No. It means that she has standards. If any man follows any of these opinions strictly, he will either be one of two things: single forever or become gay. Maybe a man would be a better fit!

I may be wrong, but it seems as if she is losing interest? Have you tried going over to her place instead? Best wishes!

chanddys:
It pains me whenever I see young fine ladies in their 30s that are still un married.

I ask the question: what wia they doing during their 20s?

For me, I'm in my mid 20's and I am more focused on my second degree and career. Those things are most important anyway. I know people who are in relationships/marriages in the 20's and are miserable as ever. All that marriage business can wait.

Alrighty then! You must be one in a billion for thinking that way. Sounds like a good plan. But i hope you plan on being in a relationship or atleast you are currently in one? Even if marriage sounds like a big step to you.

Even though both are wanted, I don't find them to be necessities at the moment. When the times comes, it will come. I won't be rushing it. In the meantime, I'll be continuing my life goals.

Lets Cut the B.S. I sure hope you not talking about the states?? I know damn well that if you are 50 and up and you still dating and never MARRIED EVER, then there's something wrong. Atleast you must have been married once or something.

Being married isn't a first priority for me, but success is. If it takes me until I'm 50 to be married due to reaching some life goals first, then so be it.

hehehe...this is d part that really amuses me...ladies b lyk if he cant make me laff and all...must it alwaz b d guy that creates d fun..some ladies re as boring as a dead frog...the issue boils down to personalty, u simply understand each other personality and adjust

The guy doesn't always have to create all of the fun, but if he isn't creating any at all, that is where the problem comes in. See, when I am in a relationship, I don't submit to gender roles. I treat the man the way I want to be treated and that is how it should always be. I plan dates and romantic evenings as a woman and I love to do it. So, this girl boring, nah. Trying to adjust to a personality that doesn't suit your liking is boring and doomed from the beginning. This will only create many bad days and little good ones. I won't ever settle and I don't suggest anyone to. wink
