The minister goofed. We already have a terrible image with international crimes so it should reflects a sober mood.

She's so wrong in all fronts and displayed immaturity. The Ethiopians will be shocked and assumed they will be released upon setting feet on Nigerian soil

Sadly on this site, responses to capture of bandits can be divided into two.

Government supporters would be rejoicing, and saying that it shows tinubu is working, meanwhile, indications show that the problem is getting worse rather than better. And any attempt to point it out is met with anger. Lol. The party in power is not doing anything about the causes of kidnapping, or even the issues that led to banditry growing in power. And any attempt to point it out is met with people shouting that tinubu has had only two years, and he needs more time. (That isn't sounding good, is it?). Also, there is the attempt to blame the North or the oppostion for the problem, which has the added effect of making the government of our president look weak and incompetent. (not a good look)

As for the oppostion, many of them have shown a readiness to believe in bandits, and to be sad when government soldiers rescue victims of kidnapping, with some saying it is a lie, apparently. It is the readiness to believe in bandits, people who are actually victimising people, and to assume that the bandits let the kidnapped go, rather than the army rescue them, because admitting the army rescued the kidnapped people is anathema to them as they do not want tinubu to 'look good' (remember that tinubu is looking bad already)...that somehow I find disgusting.

Seirously you guys this is not a game.

Both sides are equally awful.

I mean, one can presumably be happy when kidnap victims are rescued, and congratulate the armed forces for a job well done, while admitting that the problem is getting worse, and little is being done by the government to adress the root causes. I mean saying well done to the army for freeing a kidnap victim is not the same as saying that TInubu is the best thing since sliced watermelon.

People should stop using insecurity in this country as propaganda to promote or castigate the government. I did not say you must praise the government at all times.

Anyway, kudos to the armed forces and police, but the government needs to sit the hell up. Kidnapping has only gotten worse since 2015. If they want to get back in power, they need to sit up, or we bring in someone new.
APC sowed this seed between 2013 - 2015

The chicken has come home to roost.

The coming days will be heavy with sweeping information to the doorstep of POTUS and UK prime minister. They better sit up and govern to reduce hardship and insecurity else there's a unnatural storm before the election storm

They created this monster that's going to feed on many opposition or ruling class supporters

Happy
escortafrik:
June is Men’s Health Month, a time to raise awareness about the physical and mental well-being of men and encourage healthier lifestyles.

From a young age, many men are taught to “be strong,” “man up,” or “deal with it.” While resilience is important, true strength also includes taking care of your health, speaking up when something is wrong, and seeking help when you need it.

Strength Is More Than Physical

Many people associate strength with physical endurance, financial responsibility, or the ability to handle pressure. While these qualities are important, real strength also means paying attention to your health, managing stress, and knowing when to ask for support and help

Ignoring health concerns does not make them disappear. Early action can often prevent bigger problems later.

Men’s Mental Health Matters

Mental health is just as important as physical health. Stress, anxiety, depression, burnout, and emotional struggles affect men every day, yet many choose to suffer in silence because sadly they have been taught to be silent in their struggles

Seeking help, talking to someone you trust, or taking steps to improve your mental well-being should never be seen as weakness. It is a vital part of living a healthy and balanced life.

Prioritising Your Health

Men’s Health Month is a reminder to:

✅Schedule regular health check-ups

✅Stay physically active

✅Get enough sleep

✅Eat healthier meals

✅Manage stress effectively

✅Speak openly about mental health

✅Seek medical attention when needed

Your health is one of your greatest assets. Taking care of it benefits not only you but also your family, friends, and community.

Men, asking for help is not weakness

“Your health matters. Your voice matters. You matter.”

https://community.escortafrik.com/d/233-june-is-mens-health-month
This is very important!

Being healthy is beyond physical or financial strength, it's also about effective stress management and general wellbeing.

The issue is high BP has increased recently and taken many. It has also included stroke. There's also the prostate issue in men.

I wish there's going to be a radio station in the country dedicated mainly to people's health and wellbeing. They can schedule each days of the week for particular health concerns in men, women and children.

Please be calming down. Obi can't get to power with only people that agree with him promoting him.
I am a core Obi supporter and I urge everyone to work with the NDC and the National leader. Elections are just a stone throw away so it will be foolish to continue bickering within the party instead of vigorously campaigning and opening new doors in all the 776 wards. If you don't like the rules, get to the top and change it

Finally, elections don't come cheap so allow the national leader place people he feels have the political war chest to fund campaigns. If Obi wins, he can now have everything as his disposal to make necessary adjustments

So, this is just another face saving public stunt by Peter Obi. He should go and refund the money he collected from NDC aspirants in the south east.

Again, Nigerians can now see the kind of duplicitous character this Peter Obi is. He's not yet president but already using legal threats to silence those opposed to him. One can only imagine how he will threat the opposition, activists and the media if he ever becomes the president. Dude can't even take a pinch of what he normally dishes to others.

How does this story make sense to you? Biafran soldiers came to a village to steal money, as if that village is CBN or it is a bank. The way una dey lie ehnnnnn. Again it is Victor Eshiet that is of the Mandators not Joseph make una slow down to dey lie.
Yeah, victor eshiet of the Mandators. Thanks. Check his interview with Mainland FM on their programme Legends lounge. It's not his first interview it's online

Please stop defending rubbish because they are from your tribe. It's the same thing we accuse the Yoruba Ronus of. If you check my former posts I am a core Ibo and Obi backer but that doesn't mean we can't talk about the war objectively.

There were rogue soldiers on both sides but in our communities the Biafran rogue soldiers plundered, rape, kill and stole. Their Nigerian rogue counterparts led by Adekunle the scorpion did unthinkable things to some coastal minorities. During the war, any kind of money or food is priceless and lives are taken for it.

So refering to CBN as a ridicule seriously exposes your ignorance about the Nigerian civil war. No institution in the old Eastern region was working and only cash at home matters. Guess who doesn't have access to bank and save their little naira and kobo under the mattresses? The villagers!!!?

Again, don't defend what you didn't know and create a perception that the Biafran soldiers were saints. Ask your people to tell you.

The person who inflicts another with a matchet cut easily forgets the encounter but the one with the scar never forgets...

We have lived with those scars for decades. It's good we air it out as we embrace as fellow countrymen

That evil coward is burning in hell and we are aware of his crimes against some minorities. But that doesn't nullify what Biafran rogue soldiers did to our people though without the knowledge of the central command in Enugu in most cases.

We the minorities suffered rape, looting and execution from both federal and Biafran rogue soldiers.
Our grandads told us these takes with tears cos they lost aunties and uncles. War is not good cos even those who weren't involved in the bickering were caught up unfortunately

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xETIY9A4Vb4?si=qlolDw3pTT7uMIEs

I am also from that part of the country and will attest that our grandads told us terrible tales about rogue Biafran soldiers. In fact, Joseph one of the Mandators reggae group watched his family executed by rogue Biafran soldiers who came to steal their money in their villages.

War brings out animalistic tendencies in Humans which is why it should be avoidable. Most of the soldiers sneak from their camps into minority villages and rape women, kill men and loot villages. That's one of the main reasons most minorities refused to join Ojukwu. Though stories said that Ojukwu wasn't aware of some of these actions of the rogue soldiers and in one occasion ordered the summary execution of a soldier that ambushed and raped a food supplier on her way from army base

The scars will take time to heal for my village people to accept anything Biafra. They are vehement in their refusal and the unspoken word is that no generation should ever join a country with the Ibos. We will exist as an independent country if Nigeria disintegrates cos there's no semblance in our cultures and our population is between 5-6 million as a state. More than 40% of most countries of the world

No offence, just facts from our history that we are all ashamed to talk about because of our geographical and relationship closeness with Ndi igbo

It's going to be a battle between the young coaches next season, can't wait!
The Spanish coaches play more attacking football and have good man management skills hence the reason for their success against their English counterparts. Germans also play pressing and attacking football but English okay wing football and rely on solid defence.

NB: Arteta switched to a more defensive approach in the last three seasons to counter Guardiola's dominance. Let's see if he continues with the semi boring but effective style of play next season or create a hybrid model

Call your family and friends in America,UK or other places....if you dont want to Venezuela is a bigger oil producing country than nigeria, go check the inflation figures there, its over 200%

Argentina that obidients love to compare their president milei to tinubu is at over 30%

Turkey is a far more advanced country economically than nigeria, tbey are over 30%

Nigeria and Egypt are at about 15%.....the question i like to ask you is does this make the presidents of these countries too the worst leaders in the world?

Libya, angola are equally oil producing and tbey are also having inflationary problems even Rwanda is seeing one of the highest post the civil war, south Africans are also crying even accusing foreigners for being the cause of their inflation, so how is nigeria immuned from global inflationary challenges......the major reason for ours is basically the fact that we readjusted our economy which will normally cause inflation.

Many Nigerians would kill to get to live in Turkey so many are also running to Egypt that also has same inflationary problems.
Please if you don't have what to say just keep shut than coming here to embarrass your lineage with half truths

How many of those countries are their leaders living extravagant lives like Tinubu's cabinet and the rubber stamp National assembly? France dioes not even have a presidential jet neither does the prime minister if the UK. But BAT wasted over 170 million dollars to buy one despite gave 6 presidential fleet.

How many are as endowed with natural resources like Nigeria? How many is there a so called city boy wing for the son to waste money and loot money? How many of these countries tax their already impoverished citizens to death like Tinubu?

There are no two countries that are the same so don't look for skewed statistics that you assume will paint him in good light. .

How dumb are these guys for God sakes? The minimum wage was never the issue. The consequential adjustments in the last increments was ridiculous as some state governments ONLY added 40k to each level of senior staff except from level 13 that they added something less than 100k to what they were earning. It's a fraud!

What about others that aren't working in civil service or with any corporate company? What about The informal economy workers that constitute over 80% of the workforce? Who will pay them 100k per month?

Please bring down the cost of living by reintroducing some certain subsidies back to education, power sector, fuel, agriculture, health and security. Cut down import duties and review the importation list to allow some basic goods back till we sort out power sector to allow us produce at a reduced costs in Nigeria. Review the financial policies of the CBN esp lending rates to allow young businesses get access to land and expand the small scale businesses.

Above all, be intentional about protecting Nigerians from terrorists, bandits, kidnappers and armed robbers. Make capital punishment number one priority and stop playing politics with insecurity else it will consume you too when you are out of office

No amount of money given to a few can stop the geometric slide of the economy. Do the above and the 70k minimum wage will quadruple in value and job creation will be rampant to tackle unemployment

The way you guys deflects ehn! The main conversation is about an SE guy who transferred his registration from his own state few weeks ago to drag a political position in another man’s land.

Transferring of INEC registration is not something so private that requires the type of confidentiality that Obidients are ascribing to it. They are just angry with the exposition by Lere. You catch thieves, dem come dey quarrel say uno catch them the right way. 😂

😂😂😂
You are the one deflecting the main narrative.

Abuja is the federal capital territory so anyone can contest there and there's no law yet that stipulates you must be a voter before contesting. Such a law will not hold water as it will contravene the 1999 constitution as amended

Aisha Yusuf and Ireti also transferred their polling units in a short window to enable them contest. You can transfer yours too if you wish to contest for any position in AMAC. It's the nation's capital. The most important requirement is Abuja residential identification which most of them have especially those with landed properties. I still have my Abuja residential identification number despite leaving Abuja for a while

The main issue is how did Lere get confidential information which INEC are bound by law to protect as enshrined in the ACT establishing the commission. Was it hacked or given access or someone inside is trading information?

The opposition are not smart enough. This singular act by Lere is enough to start a full blown legal issue that can lead to street protests given Lere's closeness to Wike. It's a case of the hand of Esau but voice of Jacob. Does it mean Wike also have a hand in all political judgements by the courts as rumoured? It would have been a big issue if the present government were in the opposition
