The Man Involved in the Ghost & Spirit Robbery Arrested After ₦5 Million Reward Announcement
A viral CCTV video from Ghost & Spirit Lounge on Ekoro Road, Abule Egba, Lagos, has led to a major breakthrough just hours after the club management offered a ₦5 million reward.
On the night of Saturday, 26 September 2026, a group of young men were relaxing and chatting beside parked cars outside the lounge. A man in a yellow top was seen circling the area before walking straight up to one of the guys and standing directly in front of him, appearing to target and confront him. While the rest of the group remained unbothered, a Mercedes-Benz suddenly pulled up on the opposite side of the road. The driver stepped out and immediately opened fire in their direction, causing panic as almost everyone scattered and ran.
Only the targeted man stayed put. As the gunman crossed the road, another man in a white top — who had been mixed in with the group the entire time — stepped forward. The three men (the one in yellow, the one in white, and the shooter) quickly ran to the waiting Mercedes and drove off. It is believed the victim was robbed of his phones and a Cuban/gold chain, though exact details of what was taken remain unconfirmed.
The same CCTV footage later showed that this was not an isolated case. Club management revealed that a similar armed robbery had occurred about six months earlier, during which several customers lost cash, phones, gold and other valuables, and one victim was shot but survived.
In response to the latest attack, which happened around 4:00am, the management of Ghost & Spirit publicly announced a ₦5 million reward for any credible information that would lead to the identification and arrest of the suspects. They confirmed the incident had been reported to the police and that investigations were ongoing.
Less than 24 hours later, Lagos Police arrested one of the suspects allegedly involved in the robbery. The swift arrest has been widely attributed to the combination of the viral CCTV footage and the substantial reward offered by the club.

Sanusi said the suspect and the deceased had lodged at Good Samaritan Guest House on 2nd Avenue, Gwarimpa, to spend time together before the man died.
He said the suspect allegedly failed to raise the alarm after discovering that the deceased was no longer breathing, but instead left the hotel with his mobile phone.
According to the CP, the deceased’s lifeless body was discovered on August 26, 2026, along the Kubwa Expressway by Katampe under the bridge, amid concerns over the circumstances surrounding his death.
He said the incident was initially suspected to be a possible “one chance” case, while the deceased’s family had earlier reported him missing.
“When the lifeless body was subsequently discovered by the roadside, our investigators began working to establish whether it could be connected to the earlier missing person report.
“Through painstaking investigation, we were led to ultimately confirm that the deceased was the same person whose disappearance had earlier been reported by his family,” Sanusi said.
The police boss said investigators discovered that the deceased’s mobile phone was missing and began tracking the device.
Although the phone had been switched off, investigators reportedly established the last person with whom the deceased had communicated, leading to the identification and arrest of Rukayat, a resident of Garki Area 2.
Sanusi said further investigation revealed that the suspect, a married woman, was allegedly in a romantic relationship with the deceased and had saved his contact on her phone as “Safiyat.”
He said the investigation also established that the suspect and the deceased had lodged at the Good Samaritan Guest House, where they spent some time together.
“The suspect informed us that she discovered the deceased was no longer breathing and had died. Rather than immediately reporting the incident to the Police, the suspect took the deceased’s mobile phone and left the hotel,” he said.

I tested with ₦100,000 for 90 days:
A. FIXED DEPOSIT: - Rate in September 2026: 10-13% for ₦100k (Access Bank 11%, First Bank 10.5%, Stanbic 12% if you have ₦1m+) - Interest formula: Principal x Rate x Days / 365 - ₦100,000 x 11% x 90 / 365 = ₦2,712 gross - Withholding Tax 10% = ₦271.2 - Net you receive = ₦2,440.8 - Lock: 90 days, if you break before, you lose interest.
B. My Result: Mutual Funds paid ₦1,257 more than Fixed Deposit for the same ₦100k for 90 days. When to choose which? - Choose Fixed Deposit if you want NDIC insurance up to ₦500k and you will not touch money. - Choose Mutual Funds if you want higher return and flexibility to withdraw for emergencies.
I am not selling anything. Just sharing what I learned saving ₦10k monthly with ₦334 daily from car wash.

I did mutual funds investment with stanbic for 3 million naira and the returns I got monthly fluctuates between 42k - 46k despite the stanbic marketer promising a minimum of 60k monthly.
7 years ago I also kept 4 million with first bank under fixed deposit and was only getting about 20k monthly and the taxes was high
I don't know if didn't do the right fixed deposit or something else and I am open to learning. But after a couple of years I pulled out the money to tackle some economic challenges when Buhari's second tenure started biting hard and here we are..
