FreeStuffsNG: I am not sure that you comprehend the report.
The soldiers were not on combat mission and probably on routine ECOWAS patrol with no previous hostile notice given by Burkina Faso because we are not at war with them. Besides, if it's a combat mission, you can't go on such a combat mission with a single jet. There will be back up jets just like we did when Benin Republic invited us to protect them from criminal coupists.
You are obviously a novice in international affairs and diplomacy and haven't been following up the p The fact is that the impostor coupist in Burkina Faso is apprehensive for obvious reasons that Nigeria can dislodge him from power.
Burkina Faso will not dare face Nigeria and ECOWAS for obvious reasons. They have been at the magnanimity of ECOWAS countries on humanitarian grounds. Nigeria still bailed out Niger recently with about 400 tankers of fuel when they got stranded. Burkina Faso, Mali are impoverished and landlocked, and like Niger, still using sea ports of ECOWAS countries to recieve everything they depend on and even export.
If this report is true, I will not be surprised if our aircraft and soldiers are already home.
They don’t want the Benin experience from Nigeria and the rest of ECOWAS.
It's nice to know that ECOWAS is now taking the fight to them after Benin. You are probably a novice in international affairs and diplomacy and probably not following up events between the AES and Russia. It's a bait Tinubu must not take else we'll all suffer for it. We don't even have world power allies due to APC "'non aligned " Foreign policy. China is a business partner not for ammunition and US is not on our side. Jakpon: Which Burkina Faso? Una go just dey cap wetin no make sense. Why don't you leave Nigeria and relocate to Burkina Faso.
Those ibos advocating for a military take over in Nigeria, should first start with their five south east states. Let them remove their Governors : Alex Otti, Hope Uzodinma, Charles Soludo etc, and then appoint Hausa officers as states administrators. Let's start from their first Use your phone and check Burkina Faso then and now. Stop capping rubbish. This is not about Ibos or any tribe I am not Ibo but democracy is a vehicle for looting and an alternative is urgently required. Stop trbalising every thing What happened under military? People protested even the and weren't killed like it's done now when you protest so what's the difference? Every federal road was constructed under the military and no maintenance from these civilian looters My friend be careful and shut up if there's nothing meaningful to say |

Dpsychologist: A teacher's authority makes any relationship with a student exploitative, regardless of who initiated it. A minor cannot give free consent in that dynamic. Confidence or wealth doesn't change that—the adult is always responsible for maintaining the boundary. The law exists to protect children from this exact abuse of power. He's not a child or a minor Did you watch the video? |

And knowing that the penalty for coup was death, Vatsa's execution was justified. Unless he was set up and innocent of the charges. But findings proved that he was guilty as charged. Well, that's SpencerForbes: I seriously doubt that angle. I think the power dynamic is actually the opposite way round! The boy has significantly less to lose (reputation, career, status) compared to the teacher. This means she has to be the one constantly funding or supporting him just to ensure he keeps their secret locked down.
Secondly, since the teacher is reportedly based in the USA, I genuinely wonder what the boy, operating locally (I assume), could possibly offer her that would be so valuable it would completely becloud her sense of reason and self-preservation. Well, that's another angle given her status supposedly...but the Nigerian context still stands that teenage boys get into amorous relationship with older women due to money. The yahoo boys are a prime example. What they have in terms of money the children of the rich class also have Let's get her own story first |

CJStarz: No female teacher in Nigeria will ever condescend so low. You underestimate the power of money. The son of the senate president at age will bang his school teacher in Nigeria if he wants. What money cannot do...more money will do it That kid banging is teacher is a very rich kid and showering her with money and gifts before it got to that level |
Education › Re: 33-Year-Old Teacher Molested 16-Year-Old: Why Do We Still Fail The Boy‑child? by Morizo(m): 10:30am On Dec 06, 2025 |
Dpsychologist: When a teenage girl is abused, society rallies in outrage. Yet when a teenage boy is exploited by an older woman, the narrative shifts suddenly it’s “impressive,” “a flex,” or even “something to be praised.”
This is not empowerment. It is abuse. This is not maturity. It is exploitation. This is not consent. It is predation.
At 16, a boy is still a minor. His “enjoyment” or perceived skill does not erase the fact that he is being taken advantage of by an adult.
The double standard is glaring: we condemn abuse when it happens to girls, but trivialize it when it happens to boys. That hypocrisy silences male victims, normalizes abuse, and perpetuates a culture where men’s mental health and advocacy are dismissed.
Until we recognize that boys can be victims too, and that predators can be women as well as men, we will continue to fail half of our children.
This is not about gender wars. This is about justice, protection, and humanity.
https://www.facebook.com/share/1D1gh8ftkc/ This is where the world is coasting now esp with this generation of GenZ. The so called boy has been doing this before he was 14 given his confidence and handling skills. He might have been the one who approached the teacher and fell for his handsomeness and courage to approach her. He's mature enough to handle his own decisions and the consequences thereafter. I can bet you he's a very rich kid and the teacher has been getting good money from him given the way teachers salaries are handled in some African countries This is not to excuse the dumb teacher from her own blames too cos she should have drawn a boundary that would not give kids the confidence to encroachecen if she's sex starved or a money longer. She might go to jail depending on the laws of Zimbabwe regarding such issues. No law, no punishment |

SporaD8: Certainly! Oro DO NOT Terrorise people! Advance Notice of more than a week is always given to warn Women/Children and uninitiated to stay-off certain section of the community where the Oro rite will be performed. This is not unlike the way Muslims close certain street for Jumat. I understand your fear and concern. When the Eyo Masqueraders (My favourite) were banned - later the ban was commuted to "strict restrictions" because of their excesses - it was because they have no boundaries/authorized permission and incidents of rival clashes was rife. Now, Oro/Eyo don't just come out - they have their Seasons/Occasions, Timetable(published/manually announced) and Police permission.
This is the major reason why we should encourage non-indigenes to respect the tradition of their host community instead of claiming unwise right, left and center especially when such Traditions has customary law backing.
I like your mature and constructive criticism. Unlike some of the very important idi-hots that dotted my mentions. Thank you. You are welcome It's all for the good of the country. Nigeria boasts some of the most beautiful cultures in the world and in Africa at large. We need to understand that we have our futures and children's futures together so we must all responsibly demand good governance from our leaders and stop fighting each other instead Else the country will keep retracting. Leadership is a good as the followership |

SporaD8: Killing other people's light won't make yours shine any brighter. Blame your ancestors for leaving you with no heritage or culture you can be proud of, and leave Lagosians alone to enjoy their rich cultural heritage! "A River that forgets it's Source will surely dry up." So oro should continue to terrorise people? There are ways to display our cultural heritage to attract audience instead of fear. The insecurity in the country will only mean that the noose around the neck 🧣 of some certain cultural celebrations that promote fear will be tightened certainly. It's not about bashing people's tribes or ancestors, but reinventing our cultural displays like masquerades to attract people's love like the Carribbean does...other than people's fear. If things continue like this I can assure you some of these masquerades will be sent to the annals of history. The cultural displays is for the people to enjoy and not for the people to fear |

seunowa: Where in the world has American government been able to restore security before? They went Libya, Iraq and Afghanistan but they left those places more insecure than they met them. Do you know how many people have die in USA to gun violence only in 2025? Over eleven thousand people have die to just gun violence in USA alone in 2025. You can Google it yourself. You are depending on who can't provide security for her own citizens to come and rescue you. ;Dit is purely witchcraft. If Nigeria government can't provide security for her citizens then no one would.... So you opined people should keep dying since US hasn't saved any country from insecurity before... You talked about Google so use it to counter some of the claims you made about Afghanistan, Iraq etc. None has same issues as Nigeria. The Talibans were driven out of power and for over 2 decades a lot of persons were able to attain their potential especially in Education and skills acquisition. Afghan women got education and many relocated to US when Biden told gave three years for the army to begin gradually withdrawal from Afghanistan. Those ladies would have been child brides are sex slaves as the Taliban was doing before the US intervened. Arab Politics and cost made them leave. The US has done more good to global peace that harm. Without them we would have been invaded since cos we don't have modern war equipment or intelligence.
