I don't agree there are too many foreigners. They are actually not enough. Countries are realising that you need foreigners to grow your economy but south Africans are going the wrong direction. They loveeeee to think their problems are by foreigners which is very wierd reasoning.

The foreign national issue is actually an exaggerated issue in South Africa to a certain extent. The population of foreigners in SA are concentrated in major cities hence the perception that they are much larger than they really are however there is a spiraling increase of illegals crossing the borders and overstaying visas because of the perception that SA is a land of opportunity when it is not.

The economy continues to be controlled by Multinationals and White monopoly capital and the people barely benefit from this hence the competition for the meager resources between locals and illegal and legal foreign nationals ergo the anti foreigner sentiment.

There should be a systematic process to send illegal immigrants back to their countries who are not contributing to the country in general.

Mass deportations are unrealistic at this point.

A large number of illegals are from the SADC regions because of the economy of the country and any economic hub within a region will experience this inflow of migrants. This is a global phenomena and not without precedence so SA' government should stop acting like they are cluess.

The major issue is that there is massive incompetence in the ANC government in terms of managing and delivering services to its citizens who are rightfully entitled to these services and the story is spun so the concentration is on illegal foreign nationals as the sole enemy of the system because they are easy target.

There is no question that there is an illegal foreign national issue in SA however the failure is on your government to find a way to solce the problem because your liberation government is clueless.

The MEC stated that it was necessary to have illegal foreign nationals pay for services they receive when they visit hospital as a determent. This is fair or makes common sense but as usual her delivery right in front of a sick patient is distasteful, childish, fronting, undiplomatic and pandering to the populace as your people are apt at doing.

False statistics. No hospital in SA allocates 80% of its beds for illegal foreigners and please use the right terminology "illegal foreign nationals."

I'm really tired of this south africa visa delay! If they don't want us, then they should stop collecting non refundable application fees from thousands of people, both in vfs and their so called 'Evisa' (which I've never heard a success story of) and close down their commission in our country, let us know they do not exist. Is this not scam?!! Coupled with the fact that they hold people's passports for months without explanation. Air peace has suspended flights to southafrica partly because of lack of visas and they can't keep carrying half empty flights and losing money, soon other airlines will join. Their tourism and people whose livelihood is tied to tourism will suffer it too. This is just unfair as they have no regard for people's time, flight/Hotel money, and all the heartache we have to go through just to visit for a few days!
They complain that foreigners are stealing their jobs, but they have jobs and it seems like they are not doing it!! Please look for other African countries to visit and boycott SA if you can!
